Q: the one where i can picture of single tile not the whole floor
Google American Olean, Florida tile, Dal Tile, Mohawk, Laufen, U S Ceramics, Crossville,Armstrong,Congoleum, or Interceramic. These are a few major manufactures of tile. Most show individual tiles as well as some whole floors. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: does any one know where to find any harvest gold bathroom tiles?? it was a color that was big in the 70‘s but it is almost impossible to find it now in stores..does anyone know of any stores or webites that sell them please let me know i need them for replacements

Q: We have cement tiles in our apartment. To wash them, I just use liquid soap and water; I don‘t want to use toxic products. The tiles are dull-looking, though. How do I get them to shine?
At your local home improvement store they have a sealant that will bring shine to cement tiles. They have to be cleaned real good and then you put this over the tiles. Just ask an associate, and they will point you in the right direction. :-)
Q: I need to tile a kitchen back splash from counter to cabinets. Backerboard at the moment is drywall, textured and painted. I‘d like to hear some opinions on tiling directly over this or using cement backer board. Also thinset or mastic?
Well, it depends on a few of things. If the drywall is really lumpy, I would use the cement board. If the area near the sink gets really wet, I would use the cement board. Honestly, I would try and smooth down the drywall before making the job any harder than it has to be. As for thin set vs. mastic, well I prefer mastic for thin small tiles because of the smaller notches and for wall work because I find there is less slippage, but they also say that mastic is not good to use in a wet area because it can mildew. Honestly if I were doing your job, I would leave the drywall and sand it down, (that is unless you are just talking about a normal light texture, then I would just leave it alone), use mastic and call it a day.
Q: I have 12x12 tiles in my kitchen on the floor and about 5 of them are cracked/damaged. How hard is it to replace them, can I do it myslef or hire a professional? What materials will be needed?
It's very hard to match the tiles. Also you will have to remove the grout around each broken one, and then crack the broken one into pieces, then remove clean the surface, apply adhesive, and then the tile, and then grout. The color of grout will never match up 100% and neither will the tile. Also it will take you a good part of the day. Good luck with your project!
Q: hi!i hate the tiles in the house i‘ve just taken.they are blue with white dots.My landlord does not mind changes, but i can‘t afford to change the tiles.is there anything i can do o make them look different.can you paint tiles for instance?thank you for your answers
Re they ceramic tiles? Yes, they can be painted. Visit your nearest home improvement center's paint desk. The staff there can offer you guidance to the bst products and course of action for the project!
Q: I want to install a towel hook in my bathroom, but it is all ceramic tile, including the walls. Adhesive doesn‘t work. Is there any way to put screws in the tile with out cracking the tiles? Thanks.
Silicone caulk will adhere tenaciously to ceramic tile. If you are trying to attach metal to ceramic, you could also drill through the tile with a carbide drill and use conventional anchors. I have use both methods but prefer the former if possible.

Q: I have a 10 gallon tank for my adult female leopard gecko, and I have these two tiles for the substrate. I am going to fill in the cracks between the two tiles with sand so it will look nice, i want your guys input on this please.
There are many different things to put as a floor. the most natural for a grown leopard gecko is sand.you should ask at your local pet store or just look at a book on bedding for leopard geckos. If you would like, you can also get a carpet for lizards only (they sell different size carpets for different sized tanks). I have never heard of tiles and floors for them, but how long have you had it like that? is it as simple to clean as sand? i personally think it should be all sand when they are grown.... but research best bedding for them. There are many options. hope this helps and good luck :)
Q: A 15 foot by 18 foot porch floor is to be completely coverede with 1-foot square tiles. White tiles are to cover the center of the floor and green tiles are to form a 2-foot wide border around the white tiles. How many green tiles and how many white tiles will be needed?/. help plz. can you show work thanks very much.
The total number of square foot tiles you will need is 15 * 18, or 270 tiles. That is also the area within the rectangle of the room. Now the green tiles denote the perimeter of the square with certain allowances for corners and the fact that the perimeter you are talking about is 2 tiles wide. The outermost perimeter (green tiles) is 18 by 15 feet and is calculated by (2 * L) + (2 * W) -4. or (2 * 18) + (2 * 15) -4. Simplifying it brings it to (36) + (30) -4, or 62. You are probably wondering about the -4. That is because each corner is counted twice (once for length and again for width) and you need to compensate for the duplication. Now for the inner perimeter. The size of the inner perimeter is reduced by 2 feet or 2 tiles since the rectangle is smaller, so the dimensions are now 16 by 13 feet. The formula is the same, (2 * L) + (2 * W) -4 but with the new numbers. (2 * 16) + (2 * 13) -4 Simplifying (32) + (26) -4 = 54 Adding the two perimeters together, 62 + 54 = 116 Green tiles. Subtract that from the total tiles used, 270 - 160 = 154 White tiles. Now try that with 9 inch tiles. z
There are 2 lines in production. By the second half of 2010, the day hin ceramics corp. 's production line daily production capacity is expected to reach about 100000 square meters.
