FAQ
1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?
—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.
2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
- Q:I laid some ceramic tile about 6 years ago in a family room. There are some tile that sound hallow, Like they did not set in the adhesive securely. Nothing else is wrong with the tile, but it does sound hallow when you walk on it. I laid the tile on a concrete slab. How would you go about fixing this? I thought of drilling a small hole in the center of the tile and spraying some liquid insulation (that you put around windows) and grouting the hole closed with some grout the same color as the tile.
- By coincidence I had the same situation once. No...! You don't want to do it that way. First the tiles can crack, it's not going to seal and the hole is going to be ugly. The only pain full solution here and it's not very easy is to cut the grout with a thin masonry bit and a drill moving along while you cut'em and very carefull so you don't crack the tiles and lift every loosen tile. Clean the old grout from every tile after removed and then clean the old cement from the floor with a spatula very smooth and then with a sanding grinder and a masonry disk out doors. Now you must use fresh tile cement to re install the tiles again. Good luck...!
- Q:My family and i are thinking about replacing our floor tile this year and putting in something nice. How difficult is it to take out the old tile. What would I do with the tile once it is pulled up? Order a construction dumpster? And do we have to pull up the base board?I have seen it done on DIY network, doesn‘t look that difficult and seems like we could save money. And any suggestions on good looking tile that we could get cheap, maybe an outlet store. What‘s the difficulty level: beginner, intermediate or expert.
- If you do not plan on replacing the old baseboard with new, then you should gently remove it using a small pry bar and mallet. If you can't find the pry bar, a flat head screwdriver works alright.. Once you have pulled it away from the wall you might need to remove the nails to get it off without damage. If your tile has been on there since the beginning of time, you might have a little trouble removing it as back then the mastic used was quite different then what is used now. It really stuck! I am guessing you are talking about ceramic and not linoleum or vinyl tile. You can get a long handled scraper at just about any hardware store and they don't cost that much. That will save you allot of time. If you do not plan on saving the tiles, a 8 lb . sledge hammer will do the job of loosening the tiles from the floor but please make sure you wear eye protection. Then just scrape them up as you go along. If your tiles are the vinyl ,peel stick, or linoleum a good hot hair dryer works to soften the adhesive allowing you to scrape up the tiles. I'm sure a professional would recommend a heat gun though. I have removed and replaced both types and just to let you know it is not a easy or fun job. Wear rubber gloves if you can and keep a bottle of baby oil close by just in case you get the mastic on your hands.
- Q:i just bought this house and my kitchen floor tile is all cracked it was put on a wood serfice. i need a quick fix because redoing the whole kitchen needs doing but is not in my bugit at this time. can i cover it with linoleum with out it also cracking before i can remodle?.
- Cracked tiles usually indicate loose tiles, if they are loose, the vinyl or lino will show the cracks and loose tile in no time at all. If the tiles happen to be tight, and the crack is caused by a structure failure some where then the tiles can be treated so you can lay sheet goods over them. There are easy ways to tell which is which. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar . GL
- Q:Want to put ceramic tile floor down in bathroom. It has a lanolium floor now. What is the best way to prep, in order to have a good tile job.
- If the floor is concrete, remove the existing floor covering. Use thin-set, not mortar and lay the new tile. Begin in the center of the floor to make sure the borders come out even. Remove the toilet. It makes for an easier job. If the floor is wood, use hardi-backer or wonder board as an underlayment. Then set the tile.
- Q:Can you give me your opinion? White beveled subway tiles with dark gray marble floors, or mahogany brown large rectangular floors with matching size walls in beige tile? I was thinking of adding a glass border for accent, the tile store lady told me to put it up high, one right below the last cut of tiles as opposed to between the faucet and mirror. Do I still stick with the white toilets and bathtub? PLEASE help! Thanks
- I would suggest going with the beveled white subway tiles. As the others have noted, these tiles will open up the room more so than the darker beige tile. An array of accent colors could be used and changed as you update your style yet keeping the same appliances. A high border will also open up the room and give the illusion of more space. - Q:I like the original quarry tiled floor from our 60‘s kitchen, but they are quite badly stained. I can‘t pretend they have any historic value, or even were particularly well laid, so on balance should I1) Replace with new tiles, perhaps up to a higher standard2) Get a specialist to restore them to something approaching their original stateWhich will cost more, and what would you do?
- My opinion? Replace. I believe you would not be happy with the restoration since they were not laid properly in the first place. Doesn't matter which costs more if. in the end, you are unhappy with the results.
- Q:i have ceramic tile on my countertop and i do not like it and i was wondering if i could put a countertop on top of the tile? i just want to know what my inexpensive route will be. i do not have a lot of money to have things done. just want to know what my options would be.
- i'd just pop the tiles off and refinish the top. simple, and relatively cheap.
- Q:this tile i‘m buying is pei 5 and breaking point of 450 lbs. 24x24 inch. at a $1.60 sq/ft. is this a good tile?
- It does sound like good tile. If it for the floor then make sure it is not sluppery when wet. Also, any tile can be chipped if something falls on it. And the grout you put in is very important
- Q:I purchased a DIY tile backsplash kit which costs originally $134.00. Kit includes 15 sq feet of tile, grout and tools needed to install. Lowe‘s sells the kit. The problem is the color is not the color I need. So I have this bright idea to paint the tile the color I want. I only paid $40.00 for the kit. I called one of the paint suppliers and they told me a spray paint I could use for the glass tile, however, I am afraid tha after I paint the tile, install it and then add the grouting, it may take the paint off!. I don‘t know, if it would or not. I was thinking I could spray polyurethan over the tile before I grout it or would that work? Not sure what to do. This kit is a new method for putting up a backsplash in your kitchen. It is actually peel and stick and then you must grout within 2 hours.
- confusing step research with yahoo or google that will might help
- Q:What‘s the difference between tile mastic tile adhesive? I was told to paint the wall w/paint primer first then use tile adhesive rather than tile mastic to apply tiles on damaged green board around my jaccuzzi tub for a quick fix. The green paper peeled off when removing the old tile exposing the brown cardboard stuff.
- Mastic Glue
