Q: What kind of steel used for tower crane?
A: Normally, as for the main force bearing steel structure, Q345B is adopted; as for the assistance force bearing steel structure Q235B is adopted. All of the raw material is outsourced from qualified steel factory in China.
Q: Your tower crane is similar to Potain or Liebherr type?
A: We could develop any type of tower crane as per clients’ requirements if the clear information is provided. Originally, our tower crane design is based on Liebherr; but now, we not only introduced Potain design; but also developed special tower crane according to the market needs such as TC5013A with panel mast section. In addition, we also produce some models same as Potain original model, such as F0/23B, H3/36B and etc.

- Usually another crane is used to hoist modular sections an erect the crane. Some large construction cranes build themselves using modular tower sections. The boom and crane cab lifts itself on a track, the crane lifts a modular section of tower from the ground, and inserts it under the cab. The top lifts itself up and starts again. Check out the video below. Incidentally, enormous blocks of concrete are poured on the ground to support cranes like this one, and are too massive to remove when construction is complete. So, many tall buildings have huge monolithic hunks of concrete in the ground at their base....

- Generally tower cranes are self erecting. The first mast and jib sections are assembled at ground level. The mast and jib are then jacked up and another mast section inserted. If the tower crane is not self erecting then mobile cranes have to be used to assemble the crane.

- I see origami paper quite often in bookstores, art supply stores, and at the local Japanese grocery stores (I'm in the Portland area).... it's also commonly available online, sometimes in packs of solid colors. Try folding some cranes in different sizes... very small ones can be difficult to fold (I can't manage less than 2 square)

- Q: Could anyone tell me how they erect a construction crane.Some how they just are suddenly THERE, as If by magic.It seems as though the Boom part of the crane must be kind of JACKED up into place.That is the only way I can see them getting those GIANT concrete blocks into the back end of the boom. - How do they erect the construction cranes? Not very well according to the news of them toppling down of late. Seriously, the cranes are lifted upward one or two floors at a time as the building progresses upward - this is usually accomplished by pulling them up into place with heavy cables and powered winches.

- Why shouldn't we? Where do we draw the line when we're responsible for species after species going extinct. Granted, you shouldn't be expected to physically rebuild their habitat yourself if your not up to it; but a small change here or there isn't to much to ask to help save the world, is it?
