I'm 18 and have no credit history, so would I have to pay a deposit?: There are two types of phones sold on OKorder: Phones with a contract and phones without a contract. A phone without a contract: all you need is a T-Mobile Sim card. You can get a prepaid one or you can set up a plan. A phone with a contract: Its a lot cheaper but you will have to activate the phone through the seller, which means for you putting up a deposit. What I would do is go to a T-Mobile store and tell them that you are getting a T-Mobile free from your dad and what your options are. Don't let them talk you into signing anything right there and then. Go back home and think about your options and then make a decision.

Q: If the deal goes through and ATT acquires T-Mobile USA, will ATT customers have access to T-Mobile phones (HTC HD7, G2) and T-Mobile customers have access to ATT phones (iPhone, HTC Inspire)?I'm a current ATT customer with the iPhone 4, but I want a nice Android or WebOS smartphone.: It will be a couple years (at least) before the merger (if approved) gets to that point. And by that time, the current phones will no longer be sold, and there will be new models. What's nice about the merger is that they are both very similar technologies. I haven't done it myself, but I've heard several stories of iPhone users using their phone with T-Mobile. So I'm sure it will work the other way also. And once the merger is complete, you will no longer have two separate companies, and it all will be one big, happy ATT, and any new phones that come out between now and then will be contracted with this in mind.

If you can find someone who is familiar with iDEN mobile technology you can ask if they will unlock your Boost Mobile phone after that is done you can use a nextel 64K sim in any Java Boost handset but it must be UNLOCKED and you will NOT be allowed to download ringtones wallpapers etc

Will my phone work if i get a phone plan with another company like boostmbile, virgin mobile etc using my cell phone .? Or do I have to buy another?: The only other company your phone will work on is ATT, and that's if you unlock it.

Q: I just got a new mobile phone contract today and its my first one :)i got it of t-mobile and i was wondering if anyone knows how long it is until you can start using your texts and minutes of your contract?? like can you start using them straight away or do you have to wait a few days? cos i checked my balance on my phone and it said zero, but i'm not sure if that's just because it is the middle of the monthcan anybody tell me :D ha ha x: If you bought your contract today you should be able to use the phone straight away but sometimes it's not as smooth as that. You might have to register online and check that a payment has gone to T-Mobile, or sometimes the network just wants you to register before you can use your phone. It can sometimes take sometime for your balance to come through. When I got my contract it took about 5 days to start because there were some technical problems. If your balance doesn't increase within 2 days, ring T-Mobile.
