- Q:I am trying my luck for the one last time if T-Mobile right for me. the phone i have is motorala razr which really terrible- poor reception, dropped calls etc. any suggestion just a simple tmobile phone with good reception , that is all in needed
- Ho, ho, ho. Its the late Noughties, not the 1990s - reception is no longer an issue now. There are mobile phone receivers hidden in: Office blocks Flats Trees Lamp posts Farm buildings Industrial sites The list goes on. What I am trying to say is that back in the 90s, when mobiles were just beginning to get commercially popular and available there were nowhere near as many mobile phone masts since the market didn't demand it; not enough people were using mobiles. Now everyone has one and reception is simply not an issue with ANY operator unless you live up a high mountain or in the Outer Hebrides, which I doubt you do. The huge increase in customers has meant mobile phone operators have placed receivers EVERYWHERE. So, lose the 1990s reject opinion of cellular technology and simply find the best deal possible on whichever operator it is. Reception differing on individual network operators is utter, weapons-grade bullsh!t. Differing reception between operators is such a misnomer these days that if you do suffer from bad reception, it is more likely to be your PHONE than the operator itself. And even if you do wonder into an area where your operator does not have a mast, then your mobile will automatically switch into the next nearest mast and it doesn't matter which operator hosts it. So why would anyone ever have a reception issue these days unless they are using a leather case lined with lead.
- Q:add extra mobile phone number to Yahoo contacts
- Yahoo just gets worse and worse every day.
- Q:A message has been posted on my mum's workplace notice board saying that if you don't have a mobile phone signal dialing 112 will still connect you to the emergency services.Does anyone know if this is true or a hoax? I have found something online about it but it was from 6 years ago. If anyone has a link to any mobile phone company's website in the UK that says it's false which I can print off for my mum to take to work would be appreciated.Thanks.
- if there is no signal then no it won't work. If it's just out of credit then it will work on the emergency number
- Q:Basically I've had my current mobile for a good few years now and I've been saving up for a new one. I'm not too bothered about networks but I think I'm looking for a contract phone. There's obviously the choice between a blackberry and an iphone, but I have no idea what's a good deal and what's not? And also any other types of android mobiles which are really good? I prefer qwerty keyboards but if anyone can suggest a good touchscreen one that would be good too. I'd like to have internet access and app downloads, but I don't want to be spending something crazy like ?35 per month aha. Please help I'm completely lost with all these deals and mobile phones :)
- sony ericsson vivaz pro its a cool phone. It runs Symbian. It has a resistive touchscreen ( like windows mobile 6.5) Blackberry stocks are going down. iPhone sucks because you cant tether, no flash, no moving wallpapers, no dual core processors (its only a 1ghz A4 processor) its only got 512MB RAM, not even 1 GB. your best bet it Sony ericsson xperia x10 (cheap, candy bar style touchscreen, running android 2.1 if you want something smaller get the x10, or x8 (xperia) If you are on A GSM network, get the Motorola atrix. (it turns into a laptop with the laptop dock) its running android 2.2. you can make this phone a mobile hotspot (iPhone 4 cant do that) Get an Android phone even better, if you root it (look up superoneclick) you can get free apps that usually cost money on android market., you can also use tethering, and completely change the font of your phone. I rooted my xperia x10 and upgraded to gingerbread (android 2.3) added multitasking, and downloaded some really cool fonts. Also apple stocks have gone down, because android is an open source, and apple is not. No wonder they are losing money.
- Q:ahoyweird one for ya.I've had a few problems with people harrassing me, they are violent types and although they don't know where I am, I heard someone say they could 'track my mobile' because they do know my mobile number (yeah im about to get a new mobile but still). Looking on google I see plenty of sites that advertise this abiltity.is it possible? I thought only the police etc could do it.Do they only need my mobile number to track? or do they need to know the sim number as wellthey don't know my simcheers
- in theory it is possible, there is a famous case of a general who ran away from being killed, used his mobile phone and was triangulated, a plane was sent and he was killed. but no. A normal civillian cannot do this, the advertising sites are a load of bull crap, and usually you need to download an app to the phone in question to track it (Which I have done to all my phones to keep track if they go missing) my other thing i have to say is.go to the police of its that bad! (And before people start arguing with me, ive done this in a uni project with a friend who got permition to do this with the mobile company, was for research with his own phone though)
- Q:Have you ever been conned into taking on a contract , with the promise of an upgrade after 6 months to find out then it wasn`t true , and you are stuck with a rubbish phone for at least another 9 months ?.I have - thanks to them lovely people at a certain mobile phone store where their ad is similar to that programme back in the eighties 321.With the dim bloke who keeps shouting YEAH !!
- What mobile company is this? FIrst and foremost, you needed to have read your contract carefully before you signed. In fine print, it would have stated some conditions or requirements for the promotion. If you look over your contract and still don't find it in the terms and conditions, go back to the phone company store and tell them about thier promotional ad. They refuse to budge, call customer service and be firm. There has to be some catch that you missed because flat out lying is false advertisment, something that can land them into a big lawsuit. Check carefully your contract papers before calling them up.
- Q:I only need points on the social issues about mobile phones :) Ty
- Issues With Mobile Phones
- Q:1) what does it involve?2) do you have to pay?3)do you keep your tariff?4) can you pick any phone or is there a selection to chose from?5) can you upgrade to a different network? On t-mobile uk thanks
- 1) Upgrading to a different phone 2) Well you change contract do depends if you have to buy the phone 3) you get a new one I think but keep your number 4) Well when you upgrade you have to get a phone that is more expensive that your current phone 5) no you have to upgrade through your network, if you're with t-mobile I think you can upgrade to EE, but if you want to go to like 3 or something you'll have to wait until your contract ends and cancel it, and get a new one with 3 for example.
- Q:Dear FriendIs this possible to setup Skype software in mobile phone what we usually do in PC under windows. Can it possible to talk through skype from mobile then? If yes, please help me by providing necessary guideline.RegardsPervez
- For most cell (mobile) phones the answer is no. In the UK the cell phone company 3 offers a skype mobile phone that provides free skype to skype calls, along with the regular cell phone features at regular rates. In the USA you can load a skype application on the iPhone, iTouch, Nokia N800/N810 and others. Skype calls on these units do NOT go over the cell phone network, but rather use a local (free) wifi hotspot. I use the Belkin Wi-Fi Phone for Skype ( F1PP000GN-SK ) from amazon ($129.35), it works fine if you have a local free wifi hotspot (or Boingo). Out of these areas it is dead.
