It probablly fits perfetly, but it sounds like your Ipod has a larger LCR then the charger was made for. This means that the charger is providing enough power for the led light indecator but not enough power to actually fill the charging space of your Ipod. To make that even simpler, your ipod is slowlly draining as much energy as its receaving. I hope it works out for you man. Im not really into making people disapointed. Good luck.
