Mostly stabilisers and additives are for processed foods with no shelf life and a bland flavour or colour. They are not what you nana would use. Emulsifiers are to change the texture- oil , egg, banana, apple sauce can be emulsifiers. When it's liseted on a food label, usually it will be synthetic. In that case, I don;t eat them, I just don't. I don't spend money on food that I would avoid if I was making it myself.

The same thing happens with ANY fiber - some is good for you, but if you suddenly eat a lot, you will not feel well. That does not make guar gum dangerous.
