- Q: One of my cats has bad teeth and while I‘ve been brushing them, I‘ve also been adding CET Aqua Dent Water Additive to their water. However, since they drink from a Drinkwell fountain that has a filter, I‘m worried it‘s just filtering out the additive. Can anyone who also uses a filtered fountain with a dental additive shine some light on this for me?Thanks. :)
- This is a very interesting question! I honestly do not know the answer, but I would be more concerned that the water additive won't solve the dental problem - a professional veterinary cleaning to start, and then daily brushing of the teeth with cat toothpaste will probably be more effective. Can you still smell the additive after the water has been filtered? That may help you determine if it's being filtered out or not.
- Q: Im confused with this. Do they mean the same?
- it rather is the COMMUTATIVE property! to help undergo in strategies what they propose, think of with regard to the type you may use the words in real existence. shuttle is to flow around, so it potential a + b b + a associative potential the numbers can affiliate (be grouped) in any order yet quite often they don't flow around! Associative could be: (a + b) + c a + (b + c) you spot how on the left, 'b' is associating (or putting out) with 'a' on a similar time as on the excellent, 'b' is associating with 'c'. undergo in strategies, you're buddies are the group of people you dangle out with. distributive property has to do with multiplication and addition in which you the two distribute the term you're multiplying to each merchandise in parentheses. so, it potential a ( b + c) ab + ac So, you took the 'a' and disbursed it to the two the 'b' and the 'c' on your occasion, distributive property could be: 2 (3 + 4) 2(3) + 2(4) the two is disbursed (to distribute frequently language is to dish out) to each thing in parentheses, that's, the three and the 4. id property for addition continually HAS TO DO WITH THE variety 0 (and for multiplication continually has to do with the variety one) Your id is who/what you're- it would not substitute. in the journey that your call is Sarah, then Sarah is Sarah. in a similar way, the id property is while a variety would not substitute. This in basic terms happens (besides) once you upload 0 to a minimum of something. a + 0 a For multiplication, this in basic terms happens once you multiply soemthing by potential of a million: a (a million) a So, id property is addition: a + 0 a multiplication: a x a million a solid success!!!
- Q: what number would you add to -4 7/8 to get a sum of zero? What is the additive inverse of -13/15?
- The number you add to a number to get 0 is the additive inverse of that number, so both questions are asking for the same thing. Additive inverses differ only by sign: so, for ex., the additive inverse of - 4 7/8 is 4 7/8. And, the additive inverse of - 13/15 is . . .?
- Q: Artificial sweeteners and preservatives seem to be the biggest culprits. Some thickeners have bad side effects like guar gum, not in everyone it seems, but they‘re there none the less. I‘m wondering how the FDA can approve of all of these additives? I know they do many studies to find if they are safe but I feel like there are so many angles and other variables to take into account that they don‘t, such as outside studies. I can‘t believe how much negative information is around the artificial sweetener aspartame (in nearly every diet beverage around) but it is still considered safe by the FDA.
- Luke, that's why I am a great campaigner for organic, free range and fresh produce. A nutritionist woke me up.
- Q: suppose somebody invented a cheap chemical additive to induce a 40% fuel saving, what should he do?
- If you believe the various scifi stories in that vein, change your identity and hide before the oil corporations find you. Besides, all you would accomplish by sharing the secret is delaying the coming collapse of the oil economy (and the planet's civilization), which would worsen global warming and increase the number of people who would eventually starve to death.
- Q: Can I pour 10 bottles of fuel cleaner in my gas tank at once and everything be okay? Because after I did this the car wont start up again.
- Bad Idea!!!! Drain Tank and fill with Fuel Only!!
- Q: I just bought a 1975 165 hp straight 6 merccruiser in a 21‘ Manatee boat. It‘s a Chevy 6 cylinder that Merccruiser modified for boating purposes. It runs perfect but since it‘s so old do I need to use a lead additive in the gas? I can‘t ask the previous owner as it was purchased at an estate sale.
- Nope. Your Mercruiser IL 6 was designed to run on 87 octane unleaded fuel. The elimination of leaded gasoline began in 1974, GMC and Mercruiser where already producing unleaded tolerant engines in 1972. Use no additives, unless you use your boat less than once a week. If you use your boat infrequently, it's a good idea to add the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer, such as Mercurys' Stor-Clean. If you are using ethanol enhanced gasoline (E10, E15) , it's a good idea to install a water separating filter between the tank and the fuel pump. Because ethanol can erode older types of rubber that where used in fuel lines and fuel pump diaphragms, you might also add a clear filter between the fuel pump and the carburetor. If you have any rubber erosion, you will see black stuff in the filter, and you will need to upgrade your fuel lines and fuel pump.
- Q: As part of my science coursework, I have to find arguments FOR the use of additives in food and arguments AGAINST. I have already found arguments against, so what I am looking for now is arguments for the use of additives and ways in which they are good.Your answers would be very helpful to me.Also, if you know any websites which give advantages of food additives and arguments FOR them, just give me the link/s. Thank you.
- Food additives benefit greatly for preservation. For Example, the US Army's Meals, Ready, to Eat not only allow food to have a long shelf life, but can enrich the food eaten by soldier's to provide them the extra calories (energy) needed to do their jobs. Additionally, additives such as floride in water can improve the dental care in entire countries. And items such as lactaid (which, sometimes, are added to food) can greatly benefit people who are lactose-intolerated. These are just some of the ways why food additives are good.
- Q: What chemicals are used as additives in gasoline?
- MTBE (methyl- tert- butyl ether) - toxic and penetrates ground water ethanol methanol isopropanol and a couple more ols and a lot more!
- Q: any ideas (: ?
- To preserve the product during shelf life. Coloring is also used to present the same color in each batch.
