- Q: How efficient are vacuum cleaners in preventing the dust and other dirt that they suck from escaping through the air outlet. I'm using a Khind branded wet and dry vaccum cleaner model VC 3661, priced about USD 60, manufactured in 2004. The type that is shaped like a bucket and has its air outlet facing upwards and a removable, washable cotton bag inside. I notice that it has only two layers (slices) of dark -colored Sponge like material when I remove the air outlet cover. Is that sufficient to prevent dust, dirt and most importantly bacteria from coming out form the cleaner itself. It could be releasing the bacteria and spreading it all over the place.
- Many vacuum cleaners do an excellent job of picking up dust and dirt. Those that use bags to dispose of the sweepings do a good job of retaining the dust and dirt in the bag. Whether it eliminates bacteria is not indicated on the bag.
- Q: My pool vacuum has no suction and I have no psi rating, my polaris wont work either. Is something clogged how do I unclog it?
- Some Polaris' are pressure washers and need a separate pump to make them work. Others are vacuum side cleaners and use your pool pump to power them. Check your filter it is likely dirty and causing low pressure and low water flow. You're welcome!!
- Q: What's the difference between vacuum and centrifugal dust collection?
- In the current vacuum cleaner market, traditional vacuum cleaners and centrifugal vacuum cleaners all occupy a certain market
- Q: What is the best lightweight vacuum cleaner for use in a home with pets? I am willing to spend up to $300.
- the dyson seems to be a great vacume, but it is no where close to your budget, and when you go shopping, you will find the 700 dollar price tag on the one you want is unacceptable...yes there is a difference. instead, I suggest a eureka bagless vacume. I got mine for 85 dollars at Lowes. it comes with a dusting wand that is cleaned by the vacume. And it has incredible suction, and all filters are washable in your sink. since you have a 300 dollar budget, they sell a great attatchment for this vacume for pet hair on furniture ...I use it to vacume my dog...lol. another great option is a shop vac for pre vacuming around pet beds. Any small shop vac works great for this. Have fun shopping.
- Q: why do dogs hate vacuum cleaners so much?
- I know. I have had several dogs that would just go nuts over the vacuum. My dog now barks at it from under the bed, it must hurt their ears. Maybe they see it as a threat.
- Q: I had a demonstration once and the Kirby vacumm did seem to be sucking the dirt up from not only the rugs but also under the floorboards! I was amazed to say the least. But I'd like to know what the owners of them think. Tell me all about the good and bad sides of this vacuum. Thanks :)

- Q: On a scale of one to one dozen, how do you rate purple vacuum cleaners?
- A dozen less one... (I never give a full dozen)...
- Q: I read some where that vacuum cleaners with a rotating brush can scratch hardwood floor. Is this true?
- kindof
- Q: Are there any products that work well, e.g. cleaners, mops, wet/dry vacuum-mops?
- I use the Swifer WetJet - it is safe for the floor and cleans beautifully!!! It took a bit to dry, but it dries without smearing or streaks. Everything else I've tried leaves streak marks. Also, you can get a $5 off coupon from swifer on their web site. ...otherwise you can follow the advise of the guy who installed my floors...he said just a small amount of dish soap and water, but I found that to leave streaks.
- Q: One of my dogs loves it.. I just vacuumed him for about 10 minutes.. he was in heaven! My other two are afraid of the vacuum... lol
- My last dog didn't mind being vacuumed. She was a very heavy shedder (GSD-mix), so occasional vacuuming helped keep things under control. I also once had a roommate who regularly vacuumed his cat. The cat seemed to like it. I haven't been brave enough to try it on my cats, though...
