Q: I got a XFX radeon 5750 graphics card and after a lot of trouble I realized that I hadn't plugged in the 6 pin PCIe power cable, but I don't see any slots on my power supply, does anyone know how to fix this problem? I really don't wanna buy another power supply :(
the card should have come with an adapter that goes from two 4-pin molex into one 6-pin PCIe connector
Q: my laptop keeep on saying installing lite on camera crystal eye and it and put implug power cable and i dontt no what one is so what is a power cable pleasssse help ?
A power cable is an assembly of two or more electrical conductors, usually held together with an overall sheath. The assembly is used for transmission of electrical power. Power cables may be installed as permanent wiring within buildings, buried in the ground, run overhead, or exposed.
Q: My laptop cable sometimes won't stay in all the time. When it is connected, it has a blue circle around it, but sometimes that blue circle goes off (while it is plugged into the side of laptop) and the tool bar changes from showing a plug to showing a battery. Would there be something wrong with the cable line and it needs to be replaced?
the power plug is damaged and will have to be replaced the cost about 90 to 125 dollars. look at it and make sure if it is the plug or the socket
Q: Included in my EVGA 8800gs box was a 6 pin to 2x 4 pin molex power cable. My current power supply already had a 6 pin power cable. My Cooler Master 500w power supply has dual rails pushing 16amp each. The requirements for the EVGA 8800gs are:Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 22 Amp Amps.)Notice the 22 amp. To supply this power, am I supposed to connect the 6 pin to 2x 4 pin molex power cable to each of the 16amp rails from my power supply therefor providing 32amp? How am I supposed to get 22amps to the card? Most all power supplies I see that are dual railed go no higher than 20amp per rail.Any thoughts? Thanks,Brad
You can plug the standard 6 pin from your PSU the way it is and play a game and if the pc freezes or shuts off during game play then you know wehre the problem is. Do not worry about the exact specifics it wants. If you put the two 4 pin molex connections in so you can use one 6 pin then that might be more reliable as far as power flow but only do that after you try the standard 6 pin because of your limit on availible 4 pin molexs
Q: Does it also come with the cable that connects it to the monitor? Thanks!
Yeah, it comes with a three prong power cable and a bunch of internal cables, one or two for the motherboard, one or two for graphics cards, and a bunch for drives.
Q: I got two mobile GPS units for my car which use a mini USB interface for powering. One of the units didn't come with a cigarette adapter so I am trying to figure out how to power it. Can I just use a normal USB cable? I would tap the red wire into the fuse box in my car, and ground the black wire to the frame. So:-Can a mini USB cable handle 12V for ~5ft-Is that the right way to connect them? Thanks!
no because it will explode it only takes 5 to 4.5 volts and 2 to 2.5 volts i recommend using 5 volts and 2.5 watts bye
Q: the adapter is fine but the safety pin (the big one) on my power cable broke, do you know where I can buy the power cable for an HP pavilion dv9500 laptop? on the cable it says quot;LS-15 7A 125V LINETEK E70782quot;.also, is it safe to use it although the 3rd pin is gone? it still works but i wouldn't want to fry my notebook...thank you
Contact HP, this laptop was designed for Vista so more than likely there are no drivers available for xp.
Q: Hey I just recently bought a Randal RB200X bass amplifier combo but it came with no cables or power chords or anything. Can someone please tell me what I need to buy in terms of cables to turn this amp on? I am clueless and am really desperate! Please help.
Abes okorder ... All you need is a standard guitar cable to connect the bass to the amp.
Q: So I was replacing the processor in my Laptop (Inspiron M5030) and I accidentally puled apart the cable connected to the power button. I couldn't see a clear way to connect it back, and I was wondering if there was any way I could do it myself or would I have to buy a new part? It's not the end you plug into the computer itself, it's attached to the end that's screwed into the computer.
Hope this helps. Regards, GauravS
Q: I have a USB powered external hard drive. The cable that came with it has to plug-ins for the PC. I know the fat one provides power so I use that one. I would like to know what the other skinny one is for.I have seen other people plug both in when using it and it worked fine for them. I am using just the fat one and it works fine for me. I would just like to know the reason for having both on a cable.
The Fat one is the Main one. If your computer is provide most power the HDD needed. That would be just fine. Just like on your case. The Skinny one is the Extended for getting extended power needed. Thus if some computer could not recognize your device, mostly caused by unable to get some power. You could plugged it both to get suitable power for your device.
