Q:The winter is dry, the weather is dry! Ready to use humidifier, I would like to ask the wood floor hurt? Note: home floor is just installed, peace of mind wood floor. The This brand will not be Alice ah! More
The humidifier has no damage to the wood floor. Water is solid wood composite floor of the natural enemies, accidentally added more water, it was completely collapsed. So to the solid wood composite floor humidification should pay attention to the water can not be scattered directly on the parquet, as will form a solid wood flooring bubble deformation. And with a humidifier, a slight tide of the mop to the appropriate indoor humidification to drop the solid wood flooring moisture content of the wastage rate, you can avoid the solid wood flooring because the solid wood flooring boring and deformation. The top of the humidifier to the solid wood composite floor humidification is the most scientific, do not worry about solid wood flooring soaked in water, and the humidifier can not only give solid wood composite floor humidification, the human body can also make up the effect of water.
Q:I intend on putting vinyl flooring over top.Plywood or leveler?
plywood would be best but only if there is absolutely no moisture-ever. If there is apply a water blocking primer and then the sub floor.
Q:Ordinary tiles can withstand 120 degrees Celsius sustained high temperature it
120 degrees is not high temperature, the general tile can withstand more than 1000 degrees of high temperature, polished tiles can withstand more than 1600 degrees.
Q:right now we have a concrete painted floor in our basement and i hate it, the paint always chips. does anyone know what we can do with the floor?
peel and stick vinyl tiles stands out as the least confusing. they arrive in 1ft by way of 1ft squares and you the two glue them down or you peel the paper backing off of them and that they are self-adhesive. because of fact they're in 1x1 feet squares that's going to be person-friendly to handle the unusual shape of the room for the reason which you could decrease them to in high quality condition and that they are small and person-friendly to look after. you will get them at HomeDepot, Lowes, etc. they can assist you out. they're probalby the main inexpensive issues too.
Q:I am about to redo the flooring in one of my bedrooms. I will be storing scuba equipment in this room and it will also be a computer room. What would be the best flooring to put in here. I don't think carpet , ceramic tile or hardwood floors would be a good choice because some of this equipment is heavy and could crack the ceramic tile and sometimes this gear may be a little bit wet so carpet is out .Any idea's?
hardwood wouldnt be too bad as long as u dont leave excess amounts of water soaking over a long time causes the wood to rot... a little water will be okay
Q:I used to live in an South American country and I moved to Canada. I need to know why aren't there holes on the bathroom floors in Canadian bathrooms? Where is the water supposed to go if I have to clean the floor? Should I just wait for it to evaporate? Also every time a toilet clogs, it leaks downstairs (in every single building I have seen, and at least two of them are very very new). Is this normal? Will it leak also when washing the bathroom floor??
Homes today have no hole in the floor. With floor drains you get sewer gasses in the house that is not desired. If a toilet overflowed we soak the water up with towels and wash the towels. A mop is used to clean the floor. You can scrub the floor with a broom and cleaner if desired but all residue is mopped up and disposed of down the toilet or some other drain. This is far more sanitary than using a floor drain to clean the bathroom. Most houses today have rugs or carpet and excess water is not desired.
Q:Explain how oceanic-floor rocks and sediments are evidence with sea-floor spreading.
look up Alfred Wegener on wikipedia
Q:I have just purchased laminated flooring. It is called KR Inspiration Treehill Gunstock Oak. Does anyone have information about this type of flooring?
laminate flooring consists of a wood composite core. then it has a computer generated graphic applied over the wood core. then a melamine resin wear surface is added. if its a click board only two companies hold the patent to make the board and all companies buy from thees two companies. the price difference comes from the quality of the picture, the number of different pictures a run will contain, and the ac rating on a scale of 1 to 4. to install it you must let it sit in the room for 72 hrs. then you must leave an expansion joint around the whole room usually a quarter inch. all edges must be covered with molding or trim. door jams must be undercut. and you must use an underlayment foam. if you need more help feel free to contact me.
Q:we had a floating floor put down...after all was said and done....the floor looks like it has waffles in it...has anyone seen this? It's light oak...it's ugly and fake looking....speant 13,000 on it...or is this the way it's suppose to look?
Cost wise, it sounds like you got taken big time. Laminate flooring is inexpensive and I did my entire home (5 rooms) for about $300, including labor to have it done. Laminate flooring will never look like real wood so you probably got a cheaper quality with a crappy wood grain pattern on it. Not a defect really, just not top notch flooring. You can't expect that with laminate. Not sure there is much you can do. Laminate flooring is easy to install and you really can't screw it up when putting it down, at least not to make it look like you described. I would do some research of cost and quality before you make any other home improvement purchases.
Q:I have a oak floor that was sanded about 3 mos. ago....a beautiful job you'd never know it was a floor over 50 yrs. old. the person who did this is a perfectionist and it shows. unfortunately by accident there is a small scratch...looking for suggestions on touching up scratches on a wood floor, some people say mix cigarette ashes and cooking oil...not sure that's a good choice plus we don't smoke and neither do we have anyone close who does. is there a better suggestion thanks.
Call the person who did your floors. He likely knows of a real product that you can use to hide the scratch. It will depend on what products he used to finish your floor so don't just try something randomly. It will have to be compatible with what is already on the finished floor. Beyond that, you might consider that scratches are going to happen and get over that first imperfection in your floor with the understanding that it's going to show wear eventually.
