Specifications
1. Material is Q195(C is 0.06% ~ 0.12%)
2. Zinc coating is 40g/m2 ~ 60g/m2
3. Tensile strength is 400N ~ 600N
Galvanized wire's first stage is drawing.
there are two kinds of drawing machine: powder drawing and water drawing. powder drawing is fit for junior drawing(6.5mm~4.0mm). One powder drawing machine has 4 tanks and 4 molds. One tank is matched with a mold. Each of them are offered energy by a electromotor. 0.9mm(max)can be "eat" when the wire cross a mold. There are no loss of weight during drawing.
Water draw is used for senior draw.(≤4.0mm)The container is filled with water, soap and 8 molds. Compared with powder draw, water draw can save lots of room and the wire cannot be broken.
After drawing, the wire is thinner, but also very hard. The tensile strength is about 700N. These wire can be used to produce nail and mesh panel. For galvanized wire, it still need annealing
Galvanized wire's second stage is anneal.
Anneal is to low the tensile strength of wire. The stove is solid and built with red bricks. The architecture of anneal stove is cuboid. Different thickness of wire require different temperature. Range is from 700°C to 900°C. Output of the anneal stove, the tensile strength is 400N~600N.
Galvanized wire's third stage is chlorhydric acid washing.
After the draw and anneal, the wire is thinner, softer but also much more dirty. It needs chlorhydric acid washing to remove the impurities. Chlorhydric acid washing requires water pool and chlorhydric acid pool. The density of chlorhydric acid is 17%. In the Chlorhydric acid pool, there is a caldron used for the emission of vapor.
Galvanized wire's fourth stage: Zinc coating
After the chlorhydric acid pool, water pool is also necessary.
- Q: (For my PC)I want to have a quadrophonic speakers (4 channels), but i want to extend 2 speakers, but their wires are limited and cant extend enough to reach my rear? what should i do?is it as simple as, cut the speaker wires and extend it with a common copper wire that you mostly found on most appliance you found on your home?
- What kind of speaker connectors do you use? If the speakers can be disconnected from the source, I recommend getting extension adapters and long speaker wire so they will reach behind you (for example, if you have mini 3.5mm stereo jacks, get headphone extension cables and use those, and if you have RCA connectors, get RCA to RCA adapters and get long RCA cables). This way you don't need to cut any wires. But you can cut the wires and extend them with any type of speaker wire and use black electrical tape to seal them up. Make sure the positive and negative wires don't touch or you won't get any sound. I suggest wrapping up one set of wires with tape before taping up the other set (tape the positive wires up first and then tape up both sets of wires).
- Q: What method can be used to detect residual impurities and metal particles on the wire surface?
- Remove metal surface impurities, refers to the removal of metal surface attached substances, such as cement, paint, spots and other materials that do not belong to the material itself.
- Q: I have two black wires running to a light switch that I need to extend about a foot. I cannot identify the hot wire because both wires are black and I have no white wire. Can I cap off both wires and then test each with a voltmeter? If the circuit is not complete, will the hot wire still be live?
- Both wires in a switch are in the hot leg. There is no neutral. One is the hot feed, the other goes to the hot wire of the device. If you have a neutral or a ground in the box, you can test for hot with a meter. Touch one probe to one black wire, the other to neutral or ground. If you get ~120V, that;s your hot. Otherwise, the other wire is. If all else fails, you can use a pen tester, but the meter is much more accurate. Hope this helps.
- Q: In the ceiling is one black, one white and a ground. How do I connect a new ceiling fan to these two wires? The ceiling fan has black wire, white wire, a blue wire and a green wire. We don't have green in the ceiling nor do we have a ground...knob and tube perhaps? So, can we connect this fan or not? Thanks!
- balck to black and white to white...the green wire is the ground wire and the blue wire is for the lights if your fan has lights...hook the blue wire to the black to get power for lights
- Q: I am trying to run a wire from a breaker box to a new plug. To get to the new plug, I have to run the wire over a garage with a finished ceiling, around, through, or over 2 half staircases ( bi level) to get to the unfinished wall to run to the new plug. What would be the proper way to run this wire.
- That depends on your local and state codes and the conditions. Exposed? Concealed? All dry locations? Distance? I'd have to know way more to give you an accurate answer. Call an electrician to advise you.
- Q: I have a ceiling fixture outlet which has 4 wires coming out (red, black, white and uninsulated ground). There is only one light switch that controls it. I wanted to attach a light fixture to connect to that, but the light fixture only has 3 wires (red, white and green - ground). How do I connect this light fixture to the 4 wires?
- The box in the ceiling was wired in anticipation that someone might want to install a ceiling fan instead of just a light fixture. You need to use a circuit tester to determine if the red or black wire is the one that is controlled by the switch. If you don't have one then remove the screws from the switch, pull it out until you can see the wires that are attached. There should be a black wire on the lower terminal ( power coming in ) then either a black or red attached to the upper terminal. Which ever color is attached to the upper terminal would be the corresponding wire to use in the ceiling box for a light.
- Q: I bought a bathroom fan timer and tried to install it. It has four wires and the wall switch circuit has only 3 wires. What do I do?
- What are the colors of the old wires and what colors are connected where? New switch black to old switch black. New switch red to old switch white. New switch white to through going whites, (should be two twist locked together). New switch green to screw on existing metal box or leave disconnected.
- Q: my questions is what wires go where. i just bought a Hunter thermostat model # 44155c. on my old thermostat the wires are as followes:W2-jumps to quot;F(Yellow Wire)F-Yellow WireO/B-Light Green WireR-Red WireG-Dark GreenC-Red Wire Y-Yellow WireMy new thermostat has these options:RH, RC, G, Y/O, W/B, Y1can anyone tell me what wires go where?thank you
- you were suppost to mark the wires by which they were screw to by color code; w rd blk etc.and then wire to new unit with same color code, some terminals need a small branch wire to bypass, lets say an ac with a heat pump.Ok now this is what an ac man will do, he will go to the compressor and write where the wires there are wired and then he would look up the color code and put the wires where they go. Also i relie heavily on the 800 help line number. Some ac men will put different colors on the wrong terminals, put a sticker on the unit and when there is trouble, they will call him,if all the wires were black and he knowes where they go, you see. A trusted ac man would be a great help, and remember, you're checking at the wall, not at the unit where the signals are not being recieved correctly, the thermostat is the brain, and one more thing, you are on the right track, because a progamable thermostat can save you a lot of money especiall if you're gone a lot.
- Q: As in quot;I saw this pop up over the wireor quot;it came across the wire from Livingstonquot;.
- Wire means line, line of communication between two persons. In this case, a wire is telegram. A telegram is the ancestor of the mail.
- Q: I got a ventilation fan for the bathroom. The fan has 2 wires and there are 2 wires sticking out of the wall. How do I know which wire connects to which wire? What would happen if I connect the wrong wires?
- The fan will run no matter which way the wires are connected. The AC that is going to run the fan has no specific polarity like DC does. The only question would be safety. See if there's a green screw anywhere on a metal part of the fan. If there is, you should run a ground wire to it. There might not be, and in that case, because the fan only has 2 wires, it must be double insulated and will pose no shock hazard. You've probably seen electric drills with no ground wire. These are double insulated and are safe to use without a ground wire.
