- The only thing you can do is buy that non-slip stuff they sell to keep rugs from moving on the floor, and lay the rug down on that. But when you go to wash the rug, all that stuff will still crumble and fall off into your washing machine.

- new zealand rugs are great for colder weather in the outdoor pasture. if your barn is closed off from the wind then a regular fleece rug should do the trick at night. you can ride him with out a sheet on as his fur will keep him warm enough. if you bathe him after you ride him make sure you put a wet/dry sheet so he doesn't get chills and get sick. there are thicker winter coats for barn and stall use for nighttime as well but i think he/she should be good for the most part. BTW, any horses over 12 hands are not called ponies, they are put in the horse category. under 12 hands is a pony technically speaking.

- I have both commercial quality carpet tiles and also carpet in our house. I am very handy so installed the carpet tiles myself. The commercial qaulity have a heavy backing that makes the tiles stay down without glueing. We had baseboards made from the tiles also....4 high and I glued them around the room. Looks fabulous. But you can use wood baseboards also. Carpet tiles are easy to install, just follow the instructions in the box. If you need to you can make a template out of paper to make a pattern. Then lay the paper pattern upside down on the backside of the tile to cut the tile following the pattern lines. But remember you have to lay it one the tile upside down to cut the pattern out of the tile correctly. Think about this carefully to do it right. We had our carpet tiles for 19 years in a high traffice area...in the hallway coming into our house from the garage. We're always in and out of thru the garage. They still look like new 19 years later...and we do have some extra pieces to replace if we ruined any but we haven't. I got these commercial grade for less than 1/2 price since they were left over from a big commercial job. I also put the carpet tiles in the basement in my husbands office. Have lasted 15 years and still look like new. Both are darker colors so dirt doesn't show. Have never had to clean or wash them....I just vacuum them often. But if I needed to wash or clean them I'd take them outside and brush some light soapy water on them then hose them down and stand them up to dry out well before putting them back. If you're going to use carpet tiles get commercial quality though...they are much heavier and wear better. I love them. We also have carpeting in our living room and dining room and bedrooms. Those I need professionally cleaned periodically. And of course if it's wall to wall carpet it needs to be installed by the company you're buying the carpet from...you can't do it youself. Good luck with your decision.

- Regular carpet adhesive that you trowel on will work. But It ll tear the wall all to Heck when you go to remove the carpet. Maybe some carpet tackless that you can nail to the top and let the carpet hang straight down? Other than that just some finish nails.. GL

- Try 'caramel' as the color for the curtains, and get a rug which has both caramel and a slightly lighter red in it for the floor. You could get a lighter red for the curtains, but I think the caramel (medium gold-tan) would work better. You'll also need some totally contrasting colors, but I'd get those as plants, either living or 'silk' unless you like taking care of the plants.
- Q: I have a bissel carpet shampooer. I use that wit hot water and the bissel cleaning solution... Which is okay working.. But I need to DEEP clean my carpets. Whats the best cleaning solutions I can use in my shampooer or pour directly on the stains? The stains are mostly pet stains (no odor) and the stairs get bad because of all the foot traffic. - With a non-woven fabric dipped a small amount of shoe polish, wipe the surface of shoes, shoes and so on after a little drying (do not make direct sunlight shoes, when the direct sunlight is harmful to leather shoes), and then non-woven shoes polished. A pair of clean and pretty shoes will show up in front of you. If you have a bubble bath in your shoes, then you should put the carbon bag in your shoes into your shoes.
