- Only if you took out slow bearings and replaced them with faster ones. If all your bearings run well, mixing them will do nothing.

- Replacing wheel bearings is a thing of the past - Now you just buy a wheel hub. The assembled wheel hub already has the bearings seals already in it. Just take the old hub off bolt the new one on.
- Q: recently went to tire discounters to get some new tires, and they told me both wheel bearings were bad and my tie rod end was bad? me being a diy'r on most car things i said ill fix em, but they refused an alignment til my problems were fixed, though the wheel bearings aren't making any noise yet, i figured i would change them once i had the extra money to pick up a press and the bearings and shims i may need to press it in, if i replace just the tie rod end will they be able to align my car?
- Sure you can, but as soon as you back it off the rack, the alignment will change. Repack your wheel bearings before they burn up. It is easy and does not require a press (I generally do not use a press to do wheel bearings). Also change the seals while you are repacking the bearings.

- no they wont they will be well oiled that's all and it wont stick to them long it's to thin
- Q: Recently started getting alot of noise coming from the front of our truck. The sound is like a high pit ch noise the gets louder as the truck picks up speed. I would best describe it as a high pitch or like the sound of really big 4x4 tires as they drive by you on the freeway. I did the standard wheel bearing check. Jacked up the truck and pushed and pulled on the wheel. I get no shake or looseness. I can say that the passenger front doesn't roll as smooth as the driver front. I pulled the hub off and did a close visual and i can see nothing wrong. No leaking, scaring, or looseness. Just the lack of rolling smoothness like the other side. Could this be a bad bearing?
- More likely the brake is tighter on that side. If you can , back it off a notch or two and see if that helps. However, at 7 years old it would be a good idea to clean and repack the bearings, or even replace them, the races and seals.
- Q: ok..muy f22b1 vtec engine has 22222 stamp on crank and ccbcc stamped on block which comes out to y/g,y/g,y,y/g,y/g. (that's yellow and green.)with yellows in the block and greens as well..(I know it meant one half yellow one half green, but I wanted to see the difference in the bearings...)the yellow had a clearance of .0020, which is the service limit for journals 1,2,3 4...here are muy books' readings-oil clearances-# 1 4 standard .0005-.0015 service-.002# 2 standard .0008-.0018 service-.002# 3 standard .0010-.0019 service-.0022# 5 standard .0004-.0013 service-.0016 I also tested browns and acl bearings.these are the clearances I got with a dial bore gauge.....green bearings- .0019yellow bearings- .0020brown bearings- .0015acl bearings- .0025at this point im not sure which way to go, go with stamps or clearances...any suggestions would be great... thanks
- The deciding factor is clearance! But if you need new bearings- the crank should be turned to the next size. Now this might seem like a needless expense. But it is not! For one thing it makes sure there is not too much play at the mains and rods. The second is that turning the crankshaft smaller reduces friction. That means that the engine will rap out faster! Now while you have the crank in the shop- ask about getting the flash removed and peened. Also have take the piston and rods in for a finer tolerance balance. Reducing internal engine resistance is what a performance rebuild is all about- not just slapping new parts in a worn block.
- Q: So i took my bearings out of my skateboard to clean, and now i can't get them back in! I know that pounding it dents it, because i tried it before and i ruined my bearings. but its too hard to push them back in with my thumbs, i have the hard wheels. Somebody help me!
- do not do any of that stuff as the bolt will damage your bearings and so will pounding it. Take one bearing and put it on your truck without the wheel. Then take your wheel without bearings, and press it down on the bearing as hard as you can, then flip it over and do it again. If you do not understand that or it is not working take your board to your local skateshop. They will have a bearing press and should put your bearings back in your wheels for free.

- Your skateboard should have sealed bearings that you never oil. If the bearings are bad replace them, they are cheap.
