- Q: What are some signs when a wheel bearing and/or ball joints are in need of replacement? For example, does the steering wheel shake a lot? What sort of noises do you hear?What happens if you don't repair/replace these parts over a long period of time?

- It's really hard to answer your question without know the make ,model yr of the vehicle's,because on some of them you would have to change the wheel hub ,because the bearings are press into the hub.If you happen to have the rotors with the bearings inside of them ,the front bearing will just fall out once you remove the nut,the back one will need to be knocked out ,not hard to do.You will need a new grease seal for the back bearing

- Yeah they should, skateboard and Rollerblade bearings are the exact same bearings, assuming razor scooters take Rollerblade wheels, then yes they would. Go for the swiss bearings....you'll be floating!!! lol

- Ball bearings?? There are no ball bearings in the front end of a Ford Explorer, or any other car for that matter. Most cars use tapered roller(drum)bearings. They usually run 10-25$ per side, plus 5-15$ for new seals to put around them. Grease will be about 10$ for a can of good stuff. Do it yourself and save some money on the labor.

- bones swiss are obviously the best, but theyre also around $50 a pop. if you want to spend less money, i would go with bones reds or fkd. i've used both, and theyre definitely good. the only ones you really shouldnt get, are lucky.

- It would be easier to take it to a machine shop and have them press out the old bearing and press in the new or to purchase or rent a hub shark so you can do it yourself (provided you have a compressor and impact).

- bones are the bearings most wanted, but people usually go with mhs or mini logos just because of price. as long as they spin, they will work. just don't go spend $150 on some bones swiss ceramic abec9 crap that are barely better than some random $10 bearings you can get in zumiez. btw for boards look at kracked skulls. you can find many 5% off discounts on line.
