- Q: Ok, so I've been longboarding for a while now and I've recently started doing more downhill stuff on my longboard and I have decided I would like to replace the bearings on my board from steel to ceramic. 1. Because ceramic apparently are much better and faster. 2. I have basically destroyed my steel bearings they are rusty and squeak.
