The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - Q: I have a 2004 VUE, and the last couple weeks I've been hearing a roaring noise coming from the rear right wheel. It has gotten louder the last day or so. One person told me it might be the bearings, and that it's a easy thing to have fixed. I'm taking it to the mechanic on Friday. Anyone have an idea how much this might cost?
- Now here is what you do if you get a shop to do it. Get estimates from everyone. Then go by brake check and get an estimate. Now the trick is is to get on the computer for the brake check in your city, if you have one. They have a calendar there where you can schedule your vehicle for putting in new bearings. If you will notice, on certain days, they have up to 30% on some locations at different times and days. You might call and ask what the percent off covers. Is it parts or labor or both. But seems a good deal. Otherwise, buy a hayes repair manual for about $20 or so. Bearings are one of the few things that are EASY to put in. Now you can go to one of those back yard mechanics who can do it real cheap.
- Q: I own a pair of Mission Axiom A.3 roller hockey blades and it says on their website that all the wheels are MISSION CSX indoor/outdoor 78A but when i look at the wheels on the skates, they say they are all different sizes, unfortunately i am not at home so i can not tell you which sizes they are.The mission website also says that the bearings are MISSION ABEC 5 but i don't see any websites that sell those bearings so what other kind is the best and fastest kinds of bearings to buy?I just started getting into roller blading/roller hockey im not really playing roller hockey but i go skating a lot and like to go really fast so i don't really know a whole lot about skates but would like to learn what kind of wheels/bearings i should buy, thanks for any help.

- Unanswerable question. Example. My Goldwing does not use any bearings in the rear wheel. My KLR 650 uses three bearings. My Goldwing uses 4 bearings in the front wheel. My KLR 650 uses 2 bearings. Your question is too vague to be answerable.

- ABEC is not a type of bearing, but simply a rating system on the quality of the bearing. I clean and lubricate most bearings with WD-40. You only need to clean or lubricate a bearing if you've noticed a significant decrease in its performance.

- I assume you have tried shielded bearings, where the grease is contained inside covers that prevent its loss? Or possibly you do not have the funds to replace the bearings? Etc. I do not know the size of your pump/motor or whatever the bearing is on. I will tell you I have seen in an industrial setting on what I would call a small pump, they actually put a bag around the bearing housing to catch grease. Of course, the shaft ended at the housing so the bag did not have to come in contact with the rotating assembly. You could probably get more useful answers if you re-ask your question describing the size and physical configuration of the bearings and their housing.

- I don't really know but i use rubbing alcohol. I would have alcohol in a cup and put my bearings in then with my top hand cover the top and shake a little. Then take em out and roll em until they feel like they're new again(sorry for bad english im mexican)

- You get bearings. Bearings are one of the only part of the bike that actually do follow a mostly industry standard. Unless you're one of those roadie freaks who wants ceramic bearings, just go to your LBS to get replacements. Specify if they're for the headset or for the hubs or the bottom bracket, and the shop will send you on your merry way with the right ones.
- Q: I thought for sure it would be something with the brakes but Pep Boys says it is the wheel bearings that need to be replaced. Which would make some sense because it does shake above 60mph but I didn't think that had anything to do with stopping?
- It can be the bearings, however, if it is only happening during braking, you may have warped brake disc/s. This is due to intense heat from braking then suddenly cooled, e.g. going through a small flood or large puddle.
- Q: 99 Lexus ES300. When I drive the car its fine for like the first ten minutes but after that when I stop at lights and for traffic the oil pressure will drops when the RPMs go below 500 or so. I took it in and they told me to keep thicker oil and Lucas Stop Leak in it. They also told me the bearings on the Camshaft are loose and thats why I'm losing pressure. Anyone know how much this is to fix? Is it possible to fix on my own? I'm a novice at best with cars. Also why would the oil pressure drop since the bearings are going bad? - Oil temp effects oil pressure, too. Some internals in the engine that effect oil pressure are: Rod bearing and main bearing oil clearance on the crank, side x side clearance of rods, lifter bore clearance, cam bearing journal to cam bearing clearance, etc. These are some of the delineates. Any sludge if present comes from cold engine operation and never getting the oil hot enough for a sustained period to boil off condensation. 200 degrees is a GOOD thing. Try Amsoil 'Signature Series' oil.
