Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearing :
The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.
The draw up needle roller bearing generally takes its shaft diameter as the internal raceway .However , the proper LR type inner ring can be used in accordance with application condition.
The draw up needle roller bearing has two structures-with retainer and with full of needles. They are are divided intoopenend type and close-end type. The structure with retainer has the single seal ring and double seal ring .The structure with full of needles has a large load carrying capacity.

- Bearings are usually measured clockwise from true north, so S is 180°, and W is clockwise from there, so we would add 47° to 180° to get S47°W has a true bearing of 227°.

- You'll need a brass punch. The oil seals bearings come out easy enough but use the brass punch to knock out the races. The new bearings will come with new races. An arbor press is best to press in the new races but you can use the brass punch and carefully tap them in making sure they go in straight and evenly as you gently tap all around them in. Take your time and make sure the races are bottomed out. Pack bearing grease into the bearings before installing them. Hope this helps.

- Q: I need some iron ball bearings that are about 3-4inches in diameter and I need them to be iron so that I can get some rust build up on them. I tried calling a couple of hardware stores but they usually only carry steel ball bearings and small ones at that. Any idea what kind of store would have LARGE iron ones? Thank you.
- I doubt anyone makes iron ball bearings. Steel rusts also. Do you really want ball bearings? they can be expensive as they are manufactured to tight tolerances to insure they are perfectly round. .

- pop the grease covers off---rinse them out---leave the covers off---a light squirt of w-d-40---or lps,,,they were out faster--but give it a try----good luck,,,,,,idea-----take a set of wheels and put them on a metal lathe----go to a bigger size bearing that has the same I-D,,

- oversized bearings are used to compensate for crank and block wear, the outside diameter is slightly bigger and the inside diameter is slightly smaller.

- Very simple...On 4x4 models this is not just bearings...It is sold as a hub and bearing assembly,just get the correct torque specs from the dealer,when putting on the new nut...The new nut is sold only at the dealership,they are $14 each,DO NOT REUSE THE OLD ONES---VERY DANGEROUS. Remove tire and brake caliper hold down bracket. Remove old nut from hub. pull off old hub replaced hub with new replace old nut with new torque to dealer secs. replace caliper hold down bracket replace rim DONE!! 4x2 models are easier then this,they are just a inner and outer bearing...Make sure to replaced the bearing race also. Same steeps as above accept with a inner and outer bearing.
