Q: I need to know which cookware set is better. We are trying to get rid of the ones we have here. They are Teflon. I have heard that stainless steel (aluminum) and hard Ionized are good, but which is the best one.
A good quality stainless steel cookware set is a necessity- it is virtually indestructible and you can use the harshest of scrubbers to clean it. You will need a basic set that has a 8 and 12 fry pan/omelet pan, a large pot that holds a minimum of 4 quarts, and 2 sauce pots at 1 quart and 2 1/2 quart sizes. I have several pieces of hard anodized cookware too- they do a wonderful job but food will still stick. A must is at least one Green Pan- preferably a 10-12 fry pan. They are truly non-stick, clean up is a breeze and making foods like fried eggs is infinitely easier when they slide out of the pan without breaking. They do not have the same issues that plague teflon pans- scrapes and shedding that you are ultimately consuming. You can easily find them online and at your area Target store.
Q: I am currently writing a manuscript, and would like to know whether guns made out of steel, burn or melt when exposed to flames. Thanks.
Steel melts around 2500°F (1370°C). That's hotter than most normal fires (obviously, your steel pots don't melt on the stove, do they?) but a blowtorch or something like that could do it.
Q: How are steel coils used in the production of agricultural trailers?
Steel coils are used in the production of agricultural trailers to provide strength and durability to the trailer's frame and structure. The coils are typically shaped and welded together to form the trailer's chassis, ensuring it can withstand heavy loads and withstand the rigors of agricultural use.
Q: What are the different methods of oiling steel coils?
There are several methods of oiling steel coils, including applying oil by roll coating, using a spray system, or immersing the coils in an oil bath.
Q: How do steel coils contribute to the marine industry?
Steel coils contribute to the marine industry by being used in the construction of ships and offshore structures. They are essential for manufacturing various components, such as hulls, decks, beams, and structural supports. Steel coils provide strength, durability, and corrosion resistance, ensuring the longevity and safety of marine vessels and infrastructure. Additionally, steel coils are used for the production of marine equipment, including cranes, winches, and anchor chains, further enhancing the efficiency and functionality of the marine industry.
Q: Which type is better and give reasons why... I making a team of either Dark or Steel :D Thankyou
Steel-type Pokemon are strong against Ice and Rock-type Pokemon, weak against Fire, Fighting, and Ground-type moves, resistant to Dark, Dragon, Ghost, Grass, Ice, Normal, Psychic, Rock, and Steel-type moves, and are immune to Poison-type moves. Notable Steel-type Pokemon include Skarmory, Scizor, and Metagross. Dark-type Pokemon are strong against Ghost and Psychic-type Pokemon, weak against Bug and Fighting-type moves, resistant to Ghost-type moves, and immune to Psychic-type moves. Notable Dark-type Pokemon include Houndoom, Murkrow, and Sneasel. Steel-type Pokemon have more resistances than Dark-types, but more weaknesses as well. In truth, no one type is better than any other, and making a team composed entirely of a single type may make some battles difficult. It's best to keep your options open, and go with a wide variety of types.
Q: How are steel coils cleaned?
Steel coils are typically cleaned using a combination of mechanical and chemical methods. First, the coils are subjected to high-pressure water jets to remove any loose dirt, dust, or debris. Then, a specialized cleaning solution or detergent is applied to dissolve and remove any oil, grease, or stubborn stains. The coils are rinsed thoroughly to ensure the removal of all cleaning agents, followed by drying to prevent corrosion.
Q: I have a white gold engagement ring, and to be special I thought I'd get a plain band from Tiffany's--in stainless steel. Can stainless steel be worn with white gold or will there be a difference in the color or texture? I'm not planning on getting them soldered together, but I don't want it to be noticeable that they are different metals. Does anyone have experience in this subject?
I am a manufacturing Jeweller. Yes there is a difference in the colour between Stainless Steel and White Gold. The wear characteristics are also different so you will notice a difference in the wearing of the rings. I would doubt that tiffany's would make stainless steel rings. Most likely they are stocking Titanium rings, which look like stainless steel. But the same problems of colour and wear exist for that metal as well. Your best bet is to get a white gold ring , and check out other manufacturing jewellers first because you will not be getting an investment from Tiffany's. Their profit margin is that high you would get a nosebleed. the scrap value of a 5 gram 18ct white gold wedder is $120. anything over that is the profit margin of the jeweller. for a plain wedder I charge $20 per gram to make plus the gold so that would be a total cost of $220 for a 5 gram ring and $440 for a 10 gram ring. I hope this is good information to you Also you must ask what type of 18ct white gold are you getting? there is; Platinum alloy Palladium alloy Irridium alloy Nickel Zinc alloy or a combination of any or all of the above with prices accordingly
Q: So I was thinking about doing corset waist training and I wanted to know where I can get a real steel boned corset?
Hi, okorder / There are 3 types of corsets: Fashion corsets, Authentic corsets and Waist training corsets. The fashion corsets are designed for light enclasping of body. They are made with plastics bones usually. The authentic corsets can reduce your waist size about 4 - 5 and the waist training corsets about 6. They both are made with steel spirals and flat bones. The waist training corsets are recommended for experienced wearers only. Look on info pages of the seller. The corsets reinforced with plastic bones are cheap with low durability.
Q: Hi, does anyone know where i can find more about this topic ? fire resistant steels for structural applications. thanks
In the fire protection world, we do not consider steel fire resistant. Of course it doesn't burn under ordinary conditions, but it lose strength as it is heated. As has been mentioned, there are coatings which insulate steel to enable it to withstand high ambient temperatures for a long time. Construction using this method is called fire resistive construction.
