- Q: If I were to use it for a ton of paper and chipboard like material - would it bind paper well and stick? Or is there another glue that's stronger?

- Q: I never used to be allergic to anything and then a few years ago developed an allergy to shell fish. Yesterday I was working with rubber cement for the first time and I had a major allergic reaction similar to the ones I would have after eating shrimp. Is there anything in rubber cement that would relate to shellfish? There is nothing printed on the label but it does warn of allergic reactions if you are allergic to latex gloves. Not sure if I am or not but maybe.....given this experience.
- there is no telling what kind of ingredients are in that cement, and it may possibly set up infection since u say it practically sealed your wound. Most likely the wound needs to be cleaned.
- Q: What type/brand of contact cement is the best (best being the strongest) for 1quot; schedule 80 PVC pipe? The PVC pipe will be under a high amount of pressure, And from what I have read on-line the fittings are the most common to fail under high pressure. So I would like to get the strongest glue made so I don't have to worry with it for a few years. Also Im looking for tips on how to prep and glue the fittings for the strongest hold possible. - I like Oatey brand Regular clear Advanced cement for PVC. Use a PVC primer first which is usually purple let dry then using the applicator supplied in the can of cement apply a thin even layer to the outside of the pipe and then to the inside of the fitting. Working time is around 30-45 seconds. Insert the pipe into the fitting than give it a half turn. Using excessive amounts of cement is not better. The even layer you have applied will be evenly distributed with the turn of the fitting. GL

- There okorder and search for carbide. Of course, there are other applications for carbide other than as cutting tools. Because it is extremely hard, it is uses as a bearing material, as extrusion nozzles, as sand blasting nozzles, for high temperature ball bearings, and many other things. Because carbide cutting tools withstand higher temperatures, they can operate at higher cutting speeds. This has enabled a relatively new form of machining aluminum, called high speed machining, in which large billets are aluminum are machined directly to the final shape needed, such as for aircraft parts. High speed machining eliminates casting operations (with the liklihood of defects such as voids and inclusions), as well as making complex assemblies by welding or rivetting smaller components. The result is higher quality with lower tooling cost. The development of carbide materials has changed the metalworking industry.

- Ooooh, and arts and crafts question! I like these :) Okay, unfortunatly, rubber cement isn't the right type of glue to use if you're going to be making a collage made from magazine clips. It's usually used for thicker pieces of paper like construction paper or something. But if that's the only thing on you right now, I guess you can use it. You just have to be pretty careful with it so the pictures don't get all bulky and unsmooth. A trick I like to do is just use a little bit of it, and scoop very small clumps with a popsicle stick. Therefore, you can use the pop-stick instead of that brush the bottle comes from, and easily smooth the glue better in places. If you don't have a popsicle stick on you, then you can use the brush and your finger when you want to smooth it, but your finger gets sticky after a while (duh) so that could be annoying, and leave a small mess. As for the magazine, you could make a small self-portrait if you want. You can cut out a picture of your face, and then use bits out of the magazine to make your body. You can cut out a torso of someone, or you could cut out something totally different, like cut out a huge bolded word (CUTE, FASHION, STYLE) and use that as your torso or as your legs, or whatever you want. (Besides, I just made that idea up from the top of my head. There are endless possibilites on how to make a collage from a magazine. Heck, you can even draw some things if they're not in the magazine and glues them on!) Also, you can cut out words and spell things you want, like (Your Name)'s NoTe-BoOK using random letters from the magazine if you want. Welp! That's all the advice I have right now. - With all due respect NO grout at this point will hold up, and very likely answer number one has that notion? The issue is that Unless the pavers/slabs happen to be on an already solid surface, IE: a poured concrete base,,,they are subject to FLEX. I install and remediate thousands of sq. ft. of tile, very often those in a similar situation to what you describe, with grout constantly cracking, crumbling, and chipping out. Even the dry mix will at some point get WET, and set up, as though you mixed and poured it, but it won't remain solid in the paver joints forever. The better solution might be to remove the pavers, pour a slab and reset them. Steven Wolf

- Q: hey guys i know what the blue cement does for my teeth it helps me not to touch my bottom teeth giving it space but was wondering does it get better in a week or two? i have the blue cement on both of my molars and i have braces on both upper and bottom teeths. Does chewing get any better? i cannot chew properly and it hurts a bit. also when do the orthondontist take the blue cement off?
- Uuuggggghh the blue cement. I hated that stuff. The texture was so weird and... bleh. Anyway, it took me about a month, maybe 3 weeks, before chewing got to be more normal, once the cement started wearing down. Don't worry, eventually it does wear down and you'll be able to eat like normal. The orthodontist will take the cement off when your overbite is improved enough. For me, it took about... 10 months, I think. But it all depends on your individual case, and your orthodontist. I know one girl whose ortho never actually removed the cement. She doesn't care, because the blobs are so tiny by now, but it happens.
