Q:I'm currently treating my cats for fleas and have been on a hoovering mission to try and tackle the problem in the house.99% of what I've read on the internet tells you that you MUST throw the bag away every time you hoover because fleas can escape! I can see how they may be able to survive the process of being sucked up and that eggs can still hatch, but can they really find their way out of the bag and down my long henry hose and back out into the outside world?I'm hoovering nearly every day and it seems ridiculous and expensive to replace what is actually a pretty empty bag.I'm putting a sock over the hose and securing with one of the attachments to be on the safe side but what does everybody think?: This Site Might Help You. Q:My 7 month old is scared of vacuum cleaners. He looks terrified when we put it on and sometimes he will cry and sometimes he just stares at it with his bottom lip sticking out. what does your baby do when the vacuum cleaner is by them?: Yes mine is 10 months old; he used to not care but around 7 months he started getting scared whenever we turned it on. he wouldn't go near it even when it was off he was so scared of it. I actually use this to my advantage haha. Before; whenever I would go into the bathroom he would follow me and try to get in the toilet; my makeup box; the toilet paper etc....I don't like closing the door when I'm doing my makeup(the bathroom is small I have to step all the way over to the bathtub to close the door) so it was argh annoying; so my husband had the bright idea one day to put the vacuum cleaner in the doorway so that he wouldn't follow me. LOL it worked; he took one look at it turned right around left. hehe now I keep the vacuum in the bathroom always put it in the doorway when doing my makeup.

Also, does anyone know what is the suction power I am looking for for hosehold use.: You need the AMPS to determine the suction power the more AMPS they have the better suction power you'll get- but here is a very, very good vacuum to look into- It is a Bissel Powerforce Bagless Vacuum-my son bought his at Wal-mart and I use his all the time! It has 4 re-usable filters that you can rinse out and an attachment brush that has rotaion on it that I use on my bed and once after I had washed my bed spread it had those little lint pills all over it that I tried to shave off- well I tried this attachment and it took them off like it was nothing! I think he only paid like maybe $100 or less for his and it is now MY favorite vacuum!

The Sebo is almost $600 but I only paid $300 for the Flexamatic (and it's even more heavy duty..go figure). I've owned her for almost 6 years, run her nearly every day and have never had a problem. I have had to replace the brush once, but it pops out very easily for cleaning and changing. All you have to do is push a button, twist the edge off and it slides right out. And every time I change the filters and bag, it's like having a brand new machine. My vacuum has done all the things that I saw claimed by Dyson. It never loses suction and it can maneuver anywhere.
