Q: Are there any vacuum cleaners that have a charcoal filter? If so, what's the cheapest one?: not that i know of . and it would be better to get one with a hepa filterthey trap more dirt than regular filters and that means less allergys and irritants in the air for you.

Q: I know there is the Bissell Flip it, Dirt Devil Vac n Mop and Hoover Floor Mate, but is there a site where I can compare all 3 and see which one is the best?: I have the Hoover Floor Mate. DO NOT buy this! All it does is pee the water out, and smear the dirt around. Personally I am a fan of hands and knees with a mixture of light dawn dish soap and warm water. I don't think, if your floor is wood it is wise to actually get it wet. Regular hardwood floor cleaner I suppose would be the best.

Q: I have four cats and most of my house is carpeted. I've had horrible luck with vacuum cleaners. Should I break down and get a high end vacuum cleaner? (No, vacuum cleaner salesmen, Please.): I personally don't have a cool vacuum because I simply cannot afford one, but I do have a husky (a notoriously hairy breed) and talk to other husky people, and they SWEAR by Dyson. From what I have heard, though, is that it is not that worth it to get the model specifically for pets, that one of the regular models should suffice. They have some cheaper models available at Target now, so check them out there.

Q: I have 2 vacuum cleaners, both need new electrical cords! How do I replace them?: There's not a whole lot to it. Follow the existing cord into the housing. Remove the screws that hold the housing together and pull the housing apart. You'll see that your white wires are typically wire-nutted together and your black wire from the cord will probably have a 1/4 female spade connector and is connected to the switch. The other wire on the switch runs to the motor. All you need to do is buy a replacement cord(assuming you can't just cut the bad part off the old cord) and route it in the same manner that the manufacturer did and make the connections just as they did.
