Q:Do Roomba robot vacuum cleaners actually vacuum, or are they just sweepers?
They are great- We bought my Mother one for Christmas, and she loves it, as tiny as they are, they pick alot, she has a white pomeranian and it picks up all of his hairs, if your thinking of getting one- they really are worth the expense!
Q:Professional House Cleaners only Please answer question about Commercial Vacuum cleaners?I have a house cleaning business, we clean 2 homes a day and after buying 14 vacuum cleaners in the past 2 years I am done with spending money on vacuums that don't hold up or are 2 heavy or have so many filters to clean that you spend your evenings doing that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what vacuum we should buy? Just like you the house's we clean have an array of flooring, wood, tile, oriental rugs, carpet. Please help with your experience Thanks!!
As a landlord/building maintenance manager we used many different units, but the longest lasting was the Oreck. It's light, powerful, and easy to maneuver. In twenty years, I only bought two of them.
Q:Ok I have a eureka whirwind vacuum cleaner and whenever I use the hose and take it out of the hole and turn the vacuum on dust shoots out of the hole and i have to turn it back off because there is no point in using it if its just gonna shoot the dust back out! Does anyone know what the problem could be or what i could do to fix this? Any help would be highly appreciated!
My Panasonic did the same thing when I pulled the hose a little to far one day. So, duct tape, duct tape, duct tape! And now it works fine. Looks silly, though, but who cares, so long as it works? That was the hole at the back, where the hose enters the machine; if it is the hole at the side where the hose stays when not in use, you have a clog that forces the dirt back out. So if you aren't adept at disassembling vacuum cleaners, have it checked if it's worth it to you. If not, a decent vacuum can be had for under $200.00.
Q:thank you..are the y functioning well?
Well they are not as powerful as big vacuum cleaners but they are worth buying.
Q:..... Cheering on an army of vacuum cleaners. I got it from a Jim Morrison poem
LOL being as it came from Jim Morrison are you sure he wasn't talking about people snorting Snow some people have some serious Hoovers stuck in the middle of their faces
Q:preferably dyson brand but it doesnt really matter
Facepalm -_-
Q:Vacuum Cleaners? What is better bagless or bags. What can I get for $100.oo?
Definitely bagless. I have a Dyson, the most amazing vacuum I've ever had but also the most expensive. In the $400 range. My sister got one just like mine on Craigs list for $75 !! Have a look
Q:attack and bark at the vacuum??? Its cute but at other times its annoying! I want her to get used to it, so I leave her inside when I vacuum. She is a German Shepherd Dog, if that has anything to do with it! She is a dominate female too. What can I do to get her to stop it? Thanks!!
she doesn't understand what it is. she's probably scared of it, so she goes to her instincts. try pushing it toward her while it's turned off. or just set it somewhere and coax her to coming to it. let her sniff it and paw it or whatever she does. it'll teach her that it's not going to hurt her.
Q:He doesn't seem to be scared of any other loud noise but he screams when we go to the store and pass by them. He also panics when we touch or go near our own vacuum at home. I just wonder if this is normal he's been scared of it for the longest time and still can't seem to get over his fear.
My 5 year old is scared of the vacuum cleaner too. She's been petrified of it since she was 3 months old. Even after changing vacuum cleaners she still get terrified of it. Of course, she's a Golden Retriever, so that might explain it. Is your 5 year old a Golden Retriever too? You did not mention in your question whether you're talking about your son or your pet.
Q:for the purchase of a new vacuum cleaner. But when I find one that gets good reviews, a little more searching uncovers absolutely horrible reviews for every machine I've looked at! Except of course the ones that cost over $400.So...has anyone bought a vacuum cleaner that doesn't have a ridiculous price-tag, that has actually continued to work well after you've had it for a year or more???
I have a Hoover from Costco that cost less than $100. It hasn't let me down. When I was growing up, we had a Red Devil that burned through fan belts like a smoker burns through ciggies. Ultimately, no vaccuum under $400 is going to have 100% great reviews. There's always going to be a few bad experiences. Instead of looking for one with all glowing reviews, look for a high ratio of good to bad reviews. Also, look for bad reviews that involve less expensive repairs: a vacuum that tends to burn through fan belts is still better than a vacuum that blows up the second time you use it.
