Q: I'm not to fond of loud vacuum cleaners and neither is my cat so I'm looking for a vacuum cleaner that doesn't make to much noise. Anyone know of one?
I would recommend either a Miele or a Sebo canister vacuum - they are extremely quiet vacuums (as far as vacuums go), and a lot of pets aren't scared / bothered by them (plus they are both great vacuum cleaners).
Q: Had a Bissell which was about $50, well it didn't last , and saw reviews on Eurekas, which were pretty good. Which do you use and where did you purchase your's for a good price? Not looking for expensive models, just something under $60.
They all suck!
Q: Since the Vacuum Cleaner was the staple household appliance for the 1950's housewife, and woman are still targeted as the wider market for vacuum sales e.g woman are used to advertise them. I am curious to know what this relationship says?It might seem to be a silly question, and perhaps my wording isnt correct, but it is something which interests me and I would appreciate honest answers.
The fact that advertising is still targeted, in the main, towards women some may say points to the fact that inequality between the sexes exists as a generalisation despite attempts to change this and that females will forever be potrayed as humble homemakers. I however, think it is because women have higher standards.
Q: I don't know much about vacuum cleaners. My vacuum cleaner isn't working now. I changed the filter, but it does not pick up the stuff on the carpet. I vacuum over it and it doesn't pick it. I don't know what is wrong with it. I think our last vacuum cleaner may have done that and we just got a new one. What is wrong? Is there a vacuum repair person that fixes vacuum cleaners? Where do i go for that sort of thing?
Look if the vacuum cleaner tube is not blocked by something. Look in the user manual if you don't know how. It can also be that the security lock blocks out that you can start to vacuum. See first if you have some warranty left before you go to the shop where you bought it and don't forget the ticket, so if it is a engine failure and not your fault it may be that you get an other for free.
Q: Why did God make men with British and Australian accents so good at selling vacuum cleaners on American TV?
Because they are not figs. God Hates Figs. He smote one once. It died. Also, he just likes Brits and Ausies better than Nigerians. Which is why you never see Nigerians doing that most coveted of occupations.
Q: preferably dyson brand but it doesnt really matter
I am sure Vacuum Cleaner will be available on Huge Black Friday Sales. Check it out, honey.
Q: why do we use the word vacuum? is a vacuum created inside the appliance?
Fan blades turned by a motor create a suction (partial vacuum' inside the machine which sucks up the dirt. It's similar to you drinking a liquid with a straw. You stick one end of the straw into the liquid and suck on the other end. You create a vacuum inside the straw and it sucks up the liquid to fill the empty space (vacuum).
Q: What is the fear of vacuum cleaners called?
If you can trust Wiki pedia or whatever the heck it's called the fear of vaccum cleaners is OKORDer. Who knew!
Q: Does anyone know of a quiet vacuum? I would like to vacuum the house without my little man crying.
Hoover LINX cordless stick vac AKA the cheerio getter. Its pretty quiet, gets the job done and my little man loves to try to push it around.
Q: I need a new vacuum cleaner for my home. We DON'T have pets. I'd prefer a lightweight vac. We had the CR magazine issue with the reviews a few months back but I must've lost it or thrown it out. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I'm impressed with Dyson. It's not too heavy to drag around and it has no bags to empty. You just remove the top section and chuck out the dust. It does a brilliant job.
