- Q: I've looked on the internet and I haven't found anything so far. The paper on it is due tomorrow...arrrggghhhhh...
- Hi, Briisthe! Just go into Google and type - what is the migration route of the whooping crane? Then click on the article - Journey North Whooping Crane Migration Then click on the maps and all will be revealed.
- Q: What are the components of a tower crane? What are its main technical parameters? What is lifting torque?
- 2 tower cranes (tower crane) referred to as tower cranes, also known as tower cranes, originated in Western europe. A revolving crane mounted on top of a tall tower. The working space is large, mainly used for the vertical and horizontal transportation of materials and the installation of building components during the building construction. It consists of three parts: metal structure, working mechanism and electrical system. The metal structure includes the tower, the boom and the base. The working mechanism has four parts, lifting, luffing, turning and walking. The electrical system consists of motors, controllers, power distribution cabinets, connecting lines, signals and lighting devices, etc..Has a good safety device 3, tower crane, such as lifting weight limiter, amplitude limiter, height limiter and load torque limiter limiting device, and travel limit switchestower lights wind instrument, wind clip rail device ladders athletic supporter circlewalkways and railings. The driver's cab is comfortable, easy to operate, with good vision and perfect communication facilities.
- Q: was he a realist or naturalist
- Stephen Crane was a naturalist a lot like Jack London. His main themes were man vs. nature and man vs. himself in which nature is an abstract, omnipotent force that does not (and really cannot) care what becomes of the individual. In Crane's writings, man is often faced with strengths and weaknesses within himself when confronted by extremes of uncaring Nature (see the short story The Open Boat).
- Q: Do the characters develop a sense of brotherhood. If so will it be temporary or permanent
- Temporary. It is sort of classic that a group of people are thrown together by some terrible tragedy or circumstance, but unless there is something beyond that one day or hour, there is no common bond that will make it permanent. The Open Boat is a terrific story. I always liked it. It reminded me of the movie stagecoach or the movie The Open Boat which is a bit different. It's all about people being together and having to work to survive. They went down together, but how much else do they have in common? My guess is little.
- Q: Absolutely bs. I hope a crane falls on ALL these effin construction workers and their families and the building executives' heads. Let THEM have family members die or get hurt from these accidents - then they will get what's coming to them. They should all burn in hell. Total greed total total greed. They will pay
- It's not really the construction workers fault. It's the city inspectors!! They take short cuts, sign off on inspections that never happened, all because of greed! Then they can say they inspected them and go home early. Unfortunately it's the innocent residents of these buildings and the construction workers that die while they are at home all snug in their beds!!! That first crane accident should have taught them all a lesson, but evidently it did not. I think whoever was in charge of inspecting that crane should be arrested for manslaughter. The first guy got in trouble, I'm not sure to what extent but it obviously didn't make an impression on the rest of those lazy a**holes!
- Q: I just can't figure this out. They need a crane to assemble tall buildings, but how do they assemble the crane? Especially if the building is over 20 stories high. What crane can build a crane higher than itself?
- a mobile crane sets the original lower sections in place, and then the crane is assembled in 6' sections as it climbs itself.
- Q: The arm of a crane at a construction site is 12.1 m long, and it makes an angle of 30° with the horizontal. Assume that the maximum load the crane can handle is limited by the amount of torque the load produces at the base of the arm. (a) What is the magnitude of the maximum torque the crane can withstand if the maximum load the crane can handle is 500 N?(b) What is the maximum load for this crane at an angle of 35° with the horizontal?
- (a) What is the magnitude of the maximum torque the crane can withstand if the maximum load the crane can handle is 500 N? τ = FL τ = 500(12.1cos30) τ = 5239.45 τ = 5240 Ν?m (b) What is the maximum load for this crane at an angle of 35° with the horizontal? τ = FL F = τ / L F = 5239.45 / 12.1cos35 F = 528.6109... F = 529 N I hope this helped. Please remember to vote a Best Answer from among your results. It's good karma as it keeps things in balanced exchange.
- Q: What is the free height of a tower crane?
- The free height of large tower cranes can be up to 100 meters.
- Q: What are the working mechanisms and safety devices of tower cranes?
- A safety device: four limit: height limit, amplitude limit, slewing limit, travel limit; three insurance: luffing rope insurance, car insurance broken shaft, the hook to prevent falling insurance; two limit: torque limiter, weight limiter on these roughly.
- Q: This has nothing to do with travel, I'm just curious. I hate it when the news doesn't follow up on stories they focused on earlier. Does anyone have a status update on that crane that was swaying in the wind during Sandy?
- My friend, that is a good question. According to the latest news conference from the Mayor, the crane's boom arm is secured to the structure. However, West 57th Street between Broadway and 7th Avenue is closed until farther noticed. In addition, the 57th Street-7th Avenue subway station on the N, R and Q Line is closed and trains are bypassing the station in both directions, according to the MTA. Good luck Native New Yorker
