Q: Gypsum board ceiling is good to do modeling?
Already mature material, and absolutely no problem.
Q: how do you hold insulated plasterboard on the ceiling while you drill it?
Use a dead man set up if your alone, ie T formed wooden props ( you will need 2 of these) Or if you are not alone, use help, another possible way is the use of acros but i wouldnt recommend that due to the immense pressure that an acro can apply, also their weight would be a problem, as would the small face area supporting the plasterboard, also its better to fix plasterboard with zinked broad headed nails than screws( felt roofing nails would be ideal for this). hope thats helped you
Q: Firewall with gypsum board okay
Yes, you can use fireproof plasterboard
Q: Gypsum board ceiling plum blossom how to do
Put the mold. Cut with a wooden keel cut into small mouth. Process is not complicated, to see the key in the mold of the master craft. Depending on modeling size. More big words when the need to use the hook cents theorem.
Q: My wardrobe has just collapsed and I need to install a new one as soon as possible. I am just placing a pole from either end of the wardrobe but need help installing it. Do I need to use special nails to fix wood to plasterboard (the wood will be on top and what I nail onto the existing plasterboard) because I have a feeling normal nails won't work in plasterboard. Also does anyone have any help hints on installing a new pole? Thanks for any help
most hardware stores will have closet organizing brackets you can get it iwill have a place for the rod and a place for a shelf above it . To attach it to plasterboard you need to find the wooden studs that run verticle behind the plasterboard. once you find them you can use nails or screws to hang the brackets. Are your walls plaster or are they drywall? Plaster makes it hard to find the studs if it's drywall you can hit the wall lightly with your hand and listen for the sound to change as you move down the wall When the sound changes ussually every 16 inches you are on top of the stud. To mount to a plaster wall i would use 3/8th inch by 3 inch toggle bolts You will need to drill a hole big enuf for the toggle to go through. Good Luck.
Q: I have put my flat screen tv on the wall but now all the wires are hanging down from my tv to my sky box and my xbox etc. I have drilled a hole behind my tv and a hole near the floor so that I can drop the wires through to make it more tidy. I tied the cable to a wire coat hanger to push it though but the cavity is filled with insulation and i cant push the wires through to the bottom. Also there might be joists that I haven't found yet. Does anyone know an easier way of doing this? Thanks
You should install surface mounted wire mold to conceal the wires. It's a violation of the electrical code to run device power cords through a wall so you could not legally run any 120 volt cables that way. You could also be breaching a firewall and a sound barrier, which this may well be because it has insulation in it (this would be true if it is a shared party wall) . If it is an outside wall, you are breaching the vapor barrier and reducing the weather seal on the house, also a poor idea. Also, it's a code violation to run 120 volt cable and low voltage communication cable through the same opening in a concealed partition. The only safe option for concealing the wires in the wall would be to use proper recessed backboxes with correctly supported cable between them -- as it is done when houses are built to accomodate wall mount TV's. There has to be two separate box systems, or a divided box and separated raceways, for the line voltage and low voltage cables. My advice is patch the holes you've made and run divided wiremold with channels for the two different voltages (your building or electrical supply store will have it).
Q: Gypsum board, across the wall, can be installed in a wall above the shelves, shelves to put a book, and will put a lot of books, can this?
Not recommended to do, gypsum board wall of the internal skeleton part called keel, wood and iron points, iron is often said light steel keel, if the light steel keel inside the frame, not easy and fixed between the shelves of the shelf! It is better to embed the bookshelf directly into the wall! 1, gypsum board wall reserved concave space, concave space depth can be 100mm, concave part of the space to do a fixed (more than a few internal skeleton) 2, in accordance with the size of the concave part, to be a shelves, put Go in, a little fixed can be.
Q: At our school, me and several other students are planning to make an outdoor mural to hang on the outside of the school building. the material thats been recommended for us to use is plywood, but it will cost us more money than our funds to get the size we want. one of us has a large board of gyprock that would be just the size we needed. can anyone tell me if we could use it to make the mural?is it weatherproof and will it be compatible with the paint?thank you in advance :)
I am assuming that what you are calling gyprock is what others called sheet rockor drywall which is gypsum (a chalk like material) sandwiched between two layers of heavy paper. If so this is a material that is used on interiors and is NOT weather proof. Exterior or a Marine grade plywood would be the ideal to use out of doors.
Q: What are the classification and use of gypsum board?
Gypsum board, including gypsum plaster board, fiber gypsum board and insulation paper gypsum board three. Paper gypsum board is divided into: ordinary paper gypsum board, water-resistant plaster board and refractory plaster board. Fiber gypsum board is divided into: general fiber gypsum board and fiber reinforced hard gypsum pressure plate. Insulation paper gypsum board is divided into: trough composite gypsum board, polystyrene composite gypsum board and polyphenylene keel composite board. The specifications and uses of the various gypsum boards are shown in Table 10-71.
Q: It's a strip light but although I'm putting plugs in, after I drill the holes, as soon as I put the hooks up to hold the light the plugs just keep coming out....any suggestions?
You need to buy special plugs for plasterboard. There are several systems for light, medium and heavy use. They mostly use some type of anchor that spreads out on the otherside of the board. They are quite effective, and really quite clever.
