Q: I have an area rug that my poodle urinates on when she's mad at me. Long story short she did it again while I was out and I didn't find it until it was dry and smelling up my apartment. Does anyone have tips on how to clean the rug myself without renting a shampooer and maybe how to deodorize the rug. I've tried fabreese and the baking soda stuff you leave on the carpet and vacuum up later. they didn't seem to work before so If anyone has anything else to suggest I'd be most grateful.Thanks: Baking soda is a good one which you've already used. Mix baking soda and ammonia together and hot water. Put a few heavy towels or something absorbent under where your poodle urinates and just pour the solution onto the urine places and allow it to sit on those spots a good while to soak through it. Pull the heavy towels you had under it and put them into your washing machine. Grab more dry towels and put them under the spots again. Now pour white vinegar and hot water over the same spots and allow that to soak through again. Grab those towels and wash them too. It should have cleaned the area rug as much as possible this way. A lot of work but worth saving your area rug and getting the oder out. I bought a small green spot bot steam cleaner and use it on spots and the suction for pulling out solution works great for these jobs. You might have a lot of use for one these machines around your apartment. Best of Luck to you.

Q: Whats the best cleaner/chemical to get blood stains out of a rug? I was working on something in the trunk of my BMW 325i and i cut my finger. But the pool of blood wont come out of the carpet no matter what i try. Someone told me to try using milk but that didnt work either. I have to bring my car to get inspected and i need to get the stain out beforehand...Any suggestions?: If you live near a Dollar Tree store they sell a cleaner called Awesome. i use this for everything. it got dark chocolate stains out of my white rug and blood stains off a shirt. if you cannot find that cleaner use Peroxide. this is used to clean wounds but it also get out blood. When my brother was cut badly his bedspread has a giant pool of blood. my mother poured peroxide on it and it fizzed and then it washed out. Good luck! I hope your not trying to hide a dead body...just kidding.

Q: Apparently I put too much woolite on our carpet, and it won't come out. Ive tried wet rags but it just keeps foaming. Is there an easy way to get this soap out?: Vinegar and just water. How do i fix these? is there away without redoing the whole carpet? I would like to get my security deposit back.: First, I would call the landlord/lady and tell him/her what happened. If it is new carpet there may be a warranty for defective carpet. You don't want to be responsible for damage to the carpet if it is defective. Second, What kind of carpet is it? My carpet is Berber and my cats have pulled up areas where the seams are and where it meets the tile. I use Household Goop (I get it at Home Depot) for almost every problem and it works well. You also might try some carpet glue. There is also a product called FABRI-TAC that I got from a fabric store. It is a permanent adhesive, fast grab quick dry, bond fabric, lace, trim, leather wood, and is washable. I used it where the carpet meets the tile and it worked well, very quickly. I hope you find a solution to your problem quickly.
