- Q: I have a 1 yr old Male, fixed, cat. He's never given me ANY problems. except lately he's been urinating on the bathroom rug.. Well, it sounds worse than it really is.. he did it once, then I washed the rug.. it was clean for a day.. then he peed on it once again. There are NO other cats in the house, the litter box IS in the bathroom. I can not scold him or correct the behavior because of the amount of time lapsed when he's gone on the rug. So he wouldn't know what he's being corrected for ( I was in Dog training) This is his only vice. :( Please help!
- That's true about male humans missing the toilet...I had one bathroom rug that was getting peed on and that's what we attributed to it, it hasn't happened since my roommates moved out. I would take the rug up for now, to see if he stops. Also, spraying citrus or vinegar on it MIGHT keep him from doing it again, but if it's due to male humans missing the toilet then he will keep doing it. Again, I suggest just taking the rug up for a while. Wash it with the baking soda and vinegar.

- Q: The water that I am dumping out is beyond filthy. Is all of that dirty water really coming from the dirt in my carpet? I shampoo the carpets about every 6 months, and we don't even wear shoes in the house.
- ABSOLUTELY!!! I bought my own, the water is just as dirty! We vacuum. But we usually only clean the surface. My mom had a vacuum that had lights on it that told when the area you were going over was clean. She had dogs, high traffic. I don't know if that light ever went out. Most people vacuum the surface, the shampooer goes to the bottom where most of the dirt and sand goes.

Blanket should be selected by the buyer to see whether it coordinates with the overall decoration.

- Q: I recently took out the carpet in my apartment. Between the carpet and the mat under that, there were thin, wispy strands off fiber-like material and quite a lot of it. Is this asbestos? Or is it normally used under carpets. Also, if it is asbestos, is my health in danger?
- Highly doubt it. Asbesto's was found in ceiling and floor tile in a compressed manner. Also was used to rap pipes as insulation, but inside the rapping the asbesto's is powdery. So your alright, but wear a face mask, those carpet fibers are yucky.
- Q: Our house is currently covered in carpet. We have a dog who sheds and has occasional accidents in the carpet. I'm debating whether or not to switch to hardwood floors. I would like to to the floating because of cost. Does anyone have advice? Should I stick it out with carpet? Is wood that much easier?
- I like the hardwood but with your dog lays the question. Unless you clean the mess up quickly the boards will soak up btween seams and will raise at that location. Been there done that. Buy and extra package of flooring for replace. Hardwood with small area rugs work the best, you can wash the rugs

- If the carpet cleaners you used had water in it you may have already set the stain. Ink is encapsulated. When you add water you release it. We use a solvent to remove ink from fabric. It keeps the ink encapsulated. If you look in the phone book for a carpet cleaning supply store. Go there and buy ink remover. You need a wet dry vac. Pour the ink remover on the ink stain and hold the nozzle so it sucks up the ink from the carpet. It should be really quick. Unless you set the stain. This should do the trick. If the stain is set, you can replace a scrap carpet piece to the old stained carpet.

- as much as i admire Laura Ashley fabric, I definitely think of the florals may well be a touch too `flowery` in this occasion. The room sounds stylish. faded blue may well be wonderful. it would upload pastime without over powering your faded colour scheme.
