- Q: I am going to start a business doing Wild Tree Home Parties and Selling Wild Tree Products. They are a natural Herb, Spice and Mixes Company that have really great tasting, afforadable, healthy solutions that make your life easier. I know that there are tons of Home Party companies out there...I have been to Arbonne, Tupperware, Home Garden, Partylite, Lia Sophia, Passion...etc. I hate going but usually when I get there I have fun. At Wild Tree Parties (called Tasting Parties) all that is done is tasting different products, no presentation, no games, nothing silly, just straighforward...So what is your take on this type of Home Party...would you love it or hate?
- I think I would like it. It depends on the group of women you have.(young or old) Usually the young ones have fun! I like games at parties. It makes it more fun! I used to sell Princess House and my family was all Italian and most didn't speak English so it was hard to play games. I had to speak half English and then Italian. I played games with them and it got confusing. But when I did all American party, it was fun. I gave out prices. One game that I did at the end of the party to get more bookings was get 10 little gift bags, in 3 of the gift bags put a gift and it the rest of the gift bags, I put a Piece of paper that said YOU WON A PARTY! YOU HAVE TO BOOK A PARTY! I tell them , It's a gamble, you might win a prize or book a party!.they don't know that only 3 bags have gifts. So the majority will get BOOK A PARTY! It's fun! GOOD LUCK and have fun!!!
- Q: Has anyone built a log home the old fashion way? If so do you have photos online and where? If you know of more info I could use where online is it?
- my brother in law did this, and it was HARD!, and took a long time, he did everything himself, to cutting down the trees, peeling the logs and evrything. he also made the all the furniture, and light fixtures. his house was featured in home garden, magazine.a few years back... you may want to look in the homegarden magazine archives. he explained everything. it took him 3 years to build,, (just the home)
- Q: Modern home decor/bedroom redecorating/ikea style/teenage bedrooms..any magazines like this that i can subscribe to online?maybe to canada..
- I okorder . Paper magazines include Better Home and Gardens, Domino, Country Living
- Q: I have since lost all the screws/bolts and other parts related to mounting a TV, and while I still have the bracket and all the hardware, I'm missing the stuff to connect them together.Does anyone know where I can get the replacement parts?
- Take what you have to Lowes or Home Depot, along with instructions. See if you can print manual if you don't have it.Sometimes the manual will show actual size and how many screws are needed. Lowes and Home Depot have open stock of screws and they can try assorted sizes until they find the right ones needed.
- Q: I'm looking to make an easy to maintain container garden using a large Roman-esque pot. I'm looking for some design ideas that include height in the center with a mound and edging flora. Plant choices that include color and/or fragrance would be excellent as well. This container will sit in a semi-shaded area on the front porch in Southern California.
- Wow, because you live in So Cal, you have LOTS of choices. A shady location may limit the fragrance plants that will grow well. However, since I can't see exactly what your POT looks like, it is hard to say! Here is what I would suggest: Take your pot to your local plant nursery and have them help you pick out some plants. You can always go to another nursery if you don't like the choices!! Good Luck!!
- Q: I am looking for an old Dutch Apple Pie recipe that was in an edition of Better Homes and Gardens in the early 90's. I had the page from the magazine, but now I cannot find it, and I need it for Thanksgiving.
- Go okorder type in Dutch Apple Pie, I bet you will find it.
- Q: I want to grow and sell vegetables from my garden in orange county Ca. All the farmers markets I have looked at are for certified farmers. How could I sell my produce with out being a certified farmer?
- You should have to grow for your own use first and some of them you should gift to some of your friends or neighbors. So in this way you can get the experience of veg. growing and taking care of too. During this time you can search the best veg. market to sell them out. if you can get more than enough results then you should think for commercial point of view. Best of Luck
- Q: blog is related to home, garden and travel...so please suggest a good name related to the topic.
- Ask Raxa about Home Garden and Travel.
- Q: Although chipmunks are cute and fun to watch, they can be very destructive with their underground tunnels. My neighbor's brick paver patio is caving in because of this. My garden is full of holes because they like digging out my tulip bulbs. They gnaw on them a bit and then leave them in the sun to die. Is there something I can put on the bulbs when I plant them so that the chipmunks will leave them alone? Is there something I can put in my garden that will keep the chipmunks out? My neighbor has tried several things without success including baby powder with cayene pepper. The chipmunks are also destructive if they get trapped. Last year, one got trapped in my garage and damaged the weather stripping on the bottom of the door in an attempt to get out. Is there anything that I can put down that won't harm them but will keep them away?
- Get a Cat. Rescue one until there's None!
- Q: Does everyone has his own house and front garden or do they live in apartments like in Europe?
- not everyone lives in apartments in europe. in the suburbs we have beautiful houses
