Q: Looking for a Mickey Mouse Ceiling fan for a living area, not a nursery. Have any ideas where I can find one?
here okorder /
Q: So, my vegetable garden is finally dying because it's getting colder. I feel kind of sad because I didn't utilize it much. A lot of good crops went bad and were wasted. Also, I had a hard time keeping pests away and preventing my squash plants from rotting. Anyone have any tips to share that I can keep in mind for next year as far as utilization and pest/mildew control while keeping everything organic?
Think about what you grew that was over kill and plant less of that. Weather is a killer. If you are getting to much rain tent up some clear poly over the plants. Make sure your garden is located in an optimal part of the yard and each of the plants is growing far enough apart to get the full effect of the sunlight. When the ground is very moist lift ground vegetables with a Styrofoam florist ring. Planting marigolds and putting trays of hot pepper around plants deters bugs..As does a daily spray with dish soap and water. Don't pull but rather till in the dead plants and add lime to prep the bed for next season. Do not plant the tomatoes in the same spot they need to be moved every year. Compost the leaves and grass cuttings it will make great mulch for next year.
Q: why is it that there are more people interested on home gardening now adays?
Actually it is on the decline. Home gardening was at its height about five years ago . In a few more years you will hardly know it is around.
Q: We have a Hoover T Series that I like, but it get clogged/dirty really easily. Hoover themselves told me that my model was not made for pet hair (we have a huge Maine Coon and another cat that sheds too). I bought a used/refurbished Dyson DC07 (oldie but goodie I had experience with since my mom has 2). It has begun losing suction and both of these just kick dirt everywhere. The button to change from hard floor to carpet broke on my Hoover so its useless for tile now.I was told Sanitaire is about the best and cheapest commercial grade that I can get. My Granny has had her Kirby (I think classic) since forever and has not had one issue with it. My husband wants a Kirby but we have only 300 or below to spend, that's it. My local vacuum shop only wants to sell me a Ricaar and I know those are good, but I don't have Ricaar money. What should I buy?
Although I myself have a Dyson, the Shark brand advertises to be better then the Dyson Animal at half the cost. There's the Shark Navigator Upright Bagless Vacuum with Premium Pet Accessories, NV22L and the Shark Rotator Professional Upright Vacuum, NV400. Walmart has them both at $130 and $200.
Q: The subject is mushroom. No, I don't want to know how to smoke them or eat them. I just want to get rid of them. I know that mushrooms comes from having a fungus in my soil. But it's no fun, continuously raking them out and mowing over. They keep coming back. And since the summer heat is approaching, I really want to try and control this fungus before it really gets out of hand. So, are there any tips of keeping the soil conditioned? And can I get rid of mushrooms without damaging my lawn?
The mushrooms rely on moisture. Be sure not to overwater your lawn. Adding lime to your lawn annually will also help control them. You can organically spot treat problem areas with a mixture of 1 part baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to 2 parts water. Or you can purcase a non-organic fungicide that wil be friendlier to your lawn in your local home/garden store.
Q: I won this item at the fair, just wondered how much it was worth, I can't really find it online. All the information I have on it is that its manufactured by Home Essentials and Beyond, and that it says 6 Rocks, 12 Oz on the side.
If okorder /. they have several possibilities that might match yours. I only looked at the first page, and prices ranged from $12 to $15.
Q: I want to know who has Home gardens in US. Where can I get the same?
You question is somewhat confusing, when you say get the same do you mean you want to buy fresh produce or you want to grow fresh produce in your own garden. If you want to make your own garden this link will provide you will instruction and photos.
Q: I think it is either Betty Crocker or Better Homes Gardens?
Yes, Better Homes Gardens.
Q: and do they come with ninjas or do i have to pay more for them??Thanks in advance...Poll-Trench or Coat???
New or refurbished with freshly removed stains? Trench :)
Q: Spade and a Hoe.
