Q:Where can I find information about home gardening in the US?
lots of places, just put it in a web search
Q:we tried ours today at grandparents house.. they have the hgtv... and nothing worked... (works fine at home) any ideas?
HG? As in Mercury? Or Home Gardens? Or do you mean HDTV? If the TV has a yellow RCA jack on the back (for composite video cables), you use the cable that came with for a standard-definition (480i) signal. The Wii is capable of enhanced-definition, progressive scan video (480p), and that requires a component video cable (where the video signal is split over 3 RCA cables - usually colored red, blue, and green). Most HDTVs have component video jacks on the back. Usually you have select what input jack you want to use on the TV.
Q:I'm planting a garden in a few weeks and i need some help. What are any tips you guys might have?
Keep soil moist and loose...if you have a choice of locations, morning sun is better than the hot afternoon/evening sun. Most vegetables do best in a sandy loam soil...if you have a heavy clay soil, then you can lighten it by adding perlite or even some sand. If you have a very sandy soil with not much topsoil, then you can help retain moisture by adding some peat moss. You can also use a cheap mulch (pine bark mulch) to retain moisture and keep roots cool from the hot afternoon sun. It's also a good idea to pick up a pH test kit from local home and garden center to check the pH of your soil. If the soil is too acidic, then your plants won't be able to access any nutrients from the soil. Adding lime will raise the pH to a good level of 5.5 - 7 if it's low.
Q:Suggest me some plants for my kitchen garden (vegetables) which are easy to grow and maintain at home?
Where do you live?
Q:During the finals anyway. In the home and away season BHG is usually in the top 3 and the football is out of the top 10.Friday September 4 2009Adelaide Vs Essendon - 1,022,000 viewersBetter Homes And Gardens - 1,011,000 viewersFriday September 11 2009Western Bulldogs V Brisbane Lions - 1,187,000 viewersBetter Homes And Gardens - 827,000 viewersChannel 7 are NOT showing the St Kilda game live, but according to the last two weeks they probably should. They probably figure that since they are getting such good ratings for BHG and the football that they don't need to show the game live.I'm just glad that channel 10 is broadcasting their Prelim live.
The football should be shown live on every friday night oz wide instead of BHG
Q:What if, since I live in Phoenix I could put it outside in the sun lets say when its a 112 degrees outside will that kill them or will they come back when the soil gets wet again when I start to grow indoor veggies.

Q:I am starting a garden this fall with berry bushes and leafy greens. I have been doing a bunch of reasearch because I have never had a garden before and some of my plants are prone to bugs and fungus. I want my garden to be as organic as possible so I don't want chemical spray. Anyone know any good homemade concoctions I can make to help? Thanks =D
I will just name one product: neem. It is good for controlling some fungal diseases and many insects. You can buy it at places like Home Depot. It's usually packaged as a spray with a name that indicates it's uses, not as neem. Just look at the active ingredients, and it should say 70% neem oil. It is approved for organic production. Make sure it is labeled for your crops.
Q:I am away from home and my cookbooks and haven't been able to find the recipe on line....it is mixed in a pan on top of the stove, not with a mixer.
This Site Might Help You. RE: In the 1956 Better Homes and Gardens cookbook is a recipe for Fudge Brownies, does anyone have that recipe? I am away from home and my cookbooks and haven't been able to find the recipe on line....it is mixed in a pan on top of the stove, not with a mixer.
Q:Please list any good online stores that you can think of for home decor or clothing. I'm always looking for new places to shop. Thanks.

Q:thinking of starting a vegetable garden in east texas when i move there in a couple weeks. what kinds of veggies would do well in the heat/sun? should I water every day, twice a day? any info much appreciated!
Tomatoes and peppers are a great place to start, not to mention the beginnings of homemade salsa. :) Onions also do well. Just check out what the local Walmart and other home and garden centers have. The won't carry what you can't grow. Yes, water every day, twice if needed.
