Q: wires have been cut and i have 4 wires i dont know what do.what colors are for what?
If your trying to wire a aftermarket radio into your car just go to best buy or any other car audio dealer and buy a wiring harness. It plugs directly into your stock wiring harness and on the opposite side has the correct colors of your aftermarket harness that came with the deck. All you have to do is color match and crimp.
Q: OK - I removed my old light switch and can see that there are only 2 wires coming out of the wall to be found - 1 white and 1 black. There are absolutely no other wires that I can see back there. The dimmer switch has 2 black wires and 1 green. I'm really not sure what to do. I tried to connect the 2 black ones to the black one and the green wire to the white wire. I admit this wasn't the smartest thing, but thought I'd try. Got nothing. Any help is super appreciated.
Attach black to black and if it doesn't work just switch the two from the switch. The green is the ground wire. Attach it to a screw inside the junction box.
Q: i am putting in a ceiling fan. there is a black wire and a white wire along with a copper looking wire in the wall. on the fan there is a blue, white, and green. where do i connect this to the wires in the wall? running from a wall switch btw
connect the fan black wire and the fan blue wire to the house black wire. then connect the white fan wire to the white house wire. connect the short green wire from the fan and fan bracket to the copper wire. the blue is the power wire to the light on the fan. Good luck...
Q: i have just got a radio from a 2004dodge durango my buddy bought a new radio and i tok his old one, so now i need the wiring diagram to find out what all the wires goo too their are way more wires on thios thing that im use to on stock radios. ive looked it up online and its not the right diagrams the colors dont match up on the wires. ny help pleaseeee
check out the link this is where i always go and always im able to find the car listing im looking for goodluck!
Q: why is neutral wire.explain plz
in case you're speaking with regard to the cord from the ceiling to the wall swap, that's the place you interrupt the flexibility going to the ceiling container. If there is basically one cord and that's warm, its the cord that comes from the flexibility source and you nevertheless could desire to run one as much as the ceiling to end the transport of ability. there is not any could desire to swap the impartial cord, so it would not get run right down to the swap, basically the nice and comfortable/black cord. What does the ceiling have? If there's a black cord that's no longer stay, and a white cord, then perhaps your black cord to the ceiling from the swap has been pulled out of the swap container. do away with the container and dig around and notice in case you will locate it. turn off the optimum mutually as you do it, as you do no longer understand what is going on yet with the circuits.
Q: I have a Hunter 5 minute fan. I have four wires coming from my ceiling. Red, Black, White, and Bare Copper. The Fan has a Green Wire, Black Wire, White WIre,and a Black/White striped Wire. The Ceiling Plate also has green wire. I know to connect the black to black, red to black/white striped, white to white. But for the green and copper wires, do I connect the copper wire from the ceiling to the green wire in the ceiling plate and also to the green wire from the fan?
For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/avzAc After reading your additional details, It is my understanding that you only have the green wire on the mounting plate. You have no other ground wire from your house wiring, as well as none from your remote box wiring. You only have hot and neutrals. Don't worry about that wire. cap it off and tuck it away. Your house is too old to have a ground. It is a safety wire in case of a short / over current. It wont affect the fan working. If you had a bare wire coming out of the box in your house you would connect it there.
Q: what do i do? the wire just snapped.
If the wire is broken but still attached to your brackets and it isn't moving you could put a piece of wax or gum over where the sharp part is to prevent you from catching your cheeks or lips on it. If it's too loose and about to fall out then try gently sliding the wire out from under the bands around the brackets (only if you really have to). Make an appointment to your orthodontist as soon as they can get you in because that isn't fun to have to put up with. Please don't chew on anything hard like candy or it might make the weakened bracket pop off which might make for a longer appointment. Stick with soft foods 'till you can get it fixed. I had them for 4 years! Now I work in a dental office. Just take it easy, don't worry too much. :)
Q: How much wire is required?
Length of wire is L = R*A/p SI units must be used, so convert radius to meters: r = 0.0254 / 64 m using 25.4mm = 1 inch r = 3.969*10^-4 m (0.3969mm) So cross-sectional area is A = pi*(3.969*10^-4)^2 m^2 A = 4.95*10^-7 m^2 The average resistivity of nichrome is p = 1.1*10^-6 ohm-meter So the required length of wire is L = 2.2 ohm * 4.95*10^-7 m^2 / 1.1*10^-6 ohm-meter L = 0.990 m
Q: I would like to know how to wire my West Marine VHF Radio.Coming out the back of the radio is a red wire, a white wire, and two black wires. The white wire and one of the black wires are a thinner gauge then the other black and red wires. Any solutions out there? Thanks
You could solder (best), or crimp connect a waterproof In Line fuse to the red wire, then connect it to a terminal Ring, and put over the red + battery post, then ground the black wire, by connecting a Terminal ring to it and put it over the NEG.- battery post. The In-Line fuse is circuit protection, OR you can by-pass this by conecting to a spare fuse on the Panel (red +), then ground the black wire to the Neg on the battery or neg - on the panel (fuse block). Direct connection to the battery is best, the other wires probably go to the Aux. Speaker which you will need as the speakers on the radio are too small to be heard over engine noise. Soldering works BEST, then coat with Liquid Lectric tape, or heat shrink tubing for a water resistant seal on the wires, and a good Marine connection. E-mail is open if further assistance is needed.
Q: The light fitting I bought has 1x Red Wire (A) 1x Green Wire (E) and 1x Blue Wire (N)...
The green wire is just a ground wire, black is usually the hot wire, that would leave the blue wire as the neutral wire. The white wire in house wiring is the neutral. The two red and one black from your wall is not standard in the USA, but it may be 220 volts. What kind of light fixture are you replacing, is it on a ceiling fan?
