- Q: I have don it before but forgot how to find the bad one. I have a battery pack that will not charge. I hooked the charger to it and found one battery that I had continunity through it without droping any voltage I think it's the one.I want to take a battery out of another bad pack and replace it. Is there any way of checking them, ( individually) with a Multimeter, or do I need to check like I did the other?
- I would never try to repair a battery pack. Just buy a new one.
- Q: Hi,I'm looking to hook up a car battery to a portable power pack e.g. something like this
- Well, yeah, since that is what the power pack is designed to use, your car battery THROUGH the cigarette lighter, a car battery COULD be hooked up directly to it. But instead of using the vehicle cigarette lighter adapter, you'd simply wire the bare ends directly to the battery. Kind of defeats the portability of it, though, since car batteries are pretty hefty. And you'd need some way to recharge the car battery. Car batteries, by the way, are not designed for discharge and recharge. They are designed for momentary heavy surges, or short term continuous use, and constant trickle charge. Deep discharge batteries, such as those used in golf carts, etc, are much more expensive.
- Q: I want to buy an external battery pack for my iPhone 4 and I see that there are many different levels to choose from. I see packs with 1000mAh, 1800mAh, 1900mAh and so on up to 5000+mAh. My question is what difference does the mAh make in a battery pack? Is it the amount of charge it gives the phone? Is it the length of time it takes to charge? I want to be more educated before I make a purchase.

- Q: I have an old remote control air plane rechargeable battery I want to use for something else. The problem is I need it 9.6V and the two packs of 5 cells is 6V each. I want to combine the two 6V into an 8 cell 9.6V but I can't seem to split them apart. Currently I'm discharging them through the old airplane motor that they came with. First off, should I be messing with them. If so, is running them through a motor a good way to discharge them, and finally how should I go about separating them so I can recombine them?
- Those 6V battery pack was packed with hard glue and welded joints. Separating them is not an easy task as you though without any proper tool. Besides, most old old rechargeable battery pack 50% inside the cells were dried out or leakage or shorted due to aging. Not much chance to rebuild them into a workable 9.6V pack.
- Q: I have a battery pack that looks like it's 16 D batteries joined together with single plug. Seems to be a pack that would be used to power display merchandise in stores, such as games.
- By value do you mean cash value? I have no idea. Probably not much, who wants the expense of buying 16 D cells. If you electrical value, it will depend on how the batteries are connected together. It could be anywhere from 1.5 volts up to 48 volts.
- Q: I was thinking of buying a rechargable battery for my controller cuz my regular batteries die fast. So i was wondering if they work. Should i buy rechargable pack or should i just stick with the regular 2 AA batteries???
- buy energizer battery pack so u can charge 4-8 batteries at the same time more power less price safe coz tht thing eats up ur 360's power
- Q: I have 2 normail battery chargers and I was wonder if you can charge the wireless controller battery packs with these normal battery chargers.
- no because you know that thing came with the controllor with the 2 aa in it thats how big the thing is its not aa batrrys just buy a play an charge kit only 20 bucks 20-30 hr per charge an you can charge it on your pc if you like at night
- Q: I put my Cannon BP-808 battery on my cannon vixia hf11 HD camcorder, plug in my factory given charger to the camera, and charge it. It flashes as if its charging but when I turn it on, it's completely dead. I also have charged it on a seperate cannon hf11, and used three different chargers, so its not the camera or the chargers. I also have cannon BP-827 battery pack(extentended life $200-300 battery) and it does the same thing, so its not the battery pack. I can't find anything to help me on the internethelp?
- If it's not the battery pack, make sure the charger is not causing any problems, I would check and clean all the metal connection, and those small copper sides of the charger where the battery connects to.Do the same for the battery holder in your camera and and clean that spot all the way. If it's not the battery pack nor the charger, there got to be something wrong with the camera itself. Take it to geek squad in best buy or call the manufacturer warranty service if it's still under warranty cover. Hope it helps!
- Q: I recently purchased an Xbox 360 and I got an extra controller as well its an Xbox brand Blue. I bought 2 Nyko charge kits (power kit, they are play and charge) as they were really cheap $10! I plugged one into the blue and one into the white controller, the blue one charges everything fine but the white one doesn't seem to do anything, when I plug in the cable the light on the cable flashes Orange once and then no light comes out of the LED (i assume orange is a mixture of the red and green together). If i switch the cable and or battery to the blue controller it charges fine, but switching the blue battery to the white controller does the same thing as before. Most of the time I can play with everything plugged in, or I can charge the battery in the blue controller and then use it on the white controller. Has anyone run into this problem? I have tried connecting it (as in wireless connection, and the charging cable) multiple times and nothing seems to charge w/ the white.
- How approximately you cost it for longer then 5 seconds. It takes like six hours to cost the battery. the two you're particularly stupid or a troll. the two way, subject-unfastened experience is a wonderful component, check it out sometime.
- Q: I am building a small toy boat from basically nothing and was wondering if the 9.6 volt battery pack would damage the 3 volt DC motor used to propel it. The motor doesn't seem to get hot or sound bad when it's running. Will it hurt the motor at all, even if not running for very long periods of time? Thanks in advance to everyone helping!
- It might hurt it. The rpm is running 3 times the normal rpm. It would be best to measure the amps used with a voltage meter running on 3 volts. Then use a resistor of the correct size to make the amps with a 9. volt battery pack. If you dont know what ohm search for ohms calculator put in 9.6 volt and the amps you measured from the 3 volt. It will calculate the ohms for you. You can find resistors are radio shack get a larger one rated formore than twice the wattage used (wattsamps x volts)
