Q:I bought a pack of 4 Duracell rechargeable batteries with the charger for my camera and I plugged it in yesterday this time to charge all 4.It is almost 24 hours past and the red light is still on.My camera doesnt show me if the battery is charged all the way or not, it just indicates when its about to die so I dont know if the batteries are fully charged properly.Anyone know why I still get a red light?
Usually when you buy new rechargable batteries they have to be conditioned before use. This means a long first charge, so it could be that this is what the charger is doing. If you are using the charger that came with the camera (does it plug directly into the camera?), this can be a problem. It is always best to give 1st charges with a conventional battery charger, preferably one that charges each battery individually and is 'intelligent' enough to cut the charge when done. You don't mention the milliamp rating for the batteries. I suspect your camera charges at a very low rate and if the batteries themselves are a high capacity (2,500mA or above), this can take a long time. I think it is probably safe enough to try the batteries now. Just make sure you run them flat before charging again. It could also be that if the batteries are a very high capacity and your camera is not a recent one, then it may have trouble recognising the extra capacity of these batteries. It's like a mobile handset that states it will work with SD cards up to 2Gb, so if you put a 4GB in , it will either not work at all, or would just recognise 2GB of the card's capacity.
Q:I have a pre lit door wreath and no good way to plug it in. I was hoping i could find a small little battery pack to plug a regular plug into. Does that exist? I can't seem to find anything online.
Your wreath operates on 110V AC. A battery will not do anything. You need an inverter to change the electric power from 12V DC to 110V AC. This will be a bulky item. Maybe you can find a set of lights that runs off a battery and replace the original ones.
Q:I put the play and charge pack in and my controller keeps blinking and the dashboard button the one that blinks doesnt work or neither does any other button
Im sorry nyko makes soem pretty sub standard items return it and get ones made by microsoft
Q:Hi,I'm looking to hook up a car battery to a portable power pack e.g. something like this
Well, yeah, since that is what the power pack is designed to use, your car battery THROUGH the cigarette lighter, a car battery COULD be hooked up directly to it. But instead of using the vehicle cigarette lighter adapter, you'd simply wire the bare ends directly to the battery. Kind of defeats the portability of it, though, since car batteries are pretty hefty. And you'd need some way to recharge the car battery. Car batteries, by the way, are not designed for discharge and recharge. They are designed for momentary heavy surges, or short term continuous use, and constant trickle charge. Deep discharge batteries, such as those used in golf carts, etc, are much more expensive.
Q:I have an old remote control air plane rechargeable battery I want to use for something else. The problem is I need it 9.6V and the two packs of 5 cells is 6V each. I want to combine the two 6V into an 8 cell 9.6V but I can't seem to split them apart. Currently I'm discharging them through the old airplane motor that they came with. First off, should I be messing with them. If so, is running them through a motor a good way to discharge them, and finally how should I go about separating them so I can recombine them?
Those 6V battery pack was packed with hard glue and welded joints. Separating them is not an easy task as you though without any proper tool. Besides, most old old rechargeable battery pack 50% inside the cells were dried out or leakage or shorted due to aging. Not much chance to rebuild them into a workable 9.6V pack.
Q:i want to make a battery powered shop vac
Start by finding a motor that gives you the suction required. Try to find one with a DC motor (that may be very difficult). It's very likely that you'll need to find yourself a brushless DC motor and couple it with an air pump that provides the suction you require. Once you know the power requirements of the motor you can figure how many batteries (combined in series to provide voltage and parallel to provide duration) you'll need and what size they'll be. Watch the discharge rates. Batteries get hot when they charge or discharge. If it goes too fast in either direction they may catch fire or melt the housing you pack them in. For example, a couple of 12v automobile or marine batteries will fit quite nicely into a milk crate and the open-air nature of them will help cooling and venting as well. Start with the requirements, then work with the logistics and appearance. Good luck.
Q:i found a couple of package deals, some with the battery pack and some without. do you need the battery pack for the wii to work or can it work with it? also if it is an addition what does it do?
The Wii fit board uses batteries. The battery pack is for the board, you can play without it by using disposable batteries but if you play it everyday as you should you'll burn up a lot of money on batteries. I would get the battery pack. I have one and there is no telling how much money it has saved me.
Q:I am tired of my AA batteries running out every few days.Someone got me a Wii starter kit that came with all sorts of goodies, including 2 rechargeable battery packs. They look just like a normal battery packs but where AAs go there is a little pack that says Rechargeable Battery Lithium Polymer Battery.I snapped this onto the remote, then plugged a USB cord directly from the rechargeable pack to the USB outlet on the Wii. The Wii remote showed no signs of life, no lights flashing, nothing, even when I held the power button.I hooked up to my PC and wall USB plug, and I also tried all three with the pack on its own, not snapped into the remote. Nothing gave any indication that charging was taking place. So what's the deal? How do I use this rechargeable pack? Thanks
if there imbedded in the case(the outer part of the backing for the controller) then i would say plug it in to the wii console while its running(green light) and if not then maybe its one were you take the batterys and put them in a charger kitps dont get usb charge batterys there a pain get a energizer 20 bucks at bestbuy and they last forever
Q:I have a toshiba satellite p35-s6053.-LI-ION BATTERY pack model no. pa3385u-1brs (toshiba corporation)part #:psp30u-27w001serial#:95290393k
Batteries no matter it be a lap top or flash light or rechargeable they do go bad if the lap top runs on the power adapter and not when on battery power that is enough info to tell one the battery is shot/gone bad/has a bad cell replace the battery. Rechargeable lap top batteries only have so many charge cycles built into then normally around 2000 and over a three yrs period would emagine the battery has given you this and even more, replace the battery.
Q:I am repairing a battery pack that likely has 1200mAh SubC NiCD batteries in it. Can I mix a 1200mAh and 2400mAh battery in the same pack wired in a series circuit?
Yes you can but now you have a 1200mAh systemMake sure you mean series because this answer is based on that.if its a parallel system ,,,that is,, where the output voltage is no greater than any one of the batteries by itself,, then your good to go.and all you have done is drop the time that it will take to discharge the whole systemMost battery packs for drills have a battery pack with cells all alike for a reason .the least charged cell will determine the life.from the E.
