- I have the same quandary additionally, and my computing device is keep telling me to interchange that battery for two or 3 weeks. However there's no longer have got to fear for the well being of computer. You can change the battery at any time when you want. You simply cannot use your desktop in battery use more than half-hour i guess.

- Q:I have a Electromagnet with a 96 volt battery pack. it is actually made up of 80 c cell batteries welded together.how can i recharge the pack without the original charger?????
- not easily. if you have a variac, use it with a 6 amp diode in series. the cathode will go to the positive side of the battery pack. slowly turn up the variac til you get a reading of about 96 volts DC on a digital meter across the battery pack. quickly touch the diode case and see if it's very hot - if so turn the variac down. when the diode temp is at ambient, slowly increase the voltage by 1 or 2 volts at a time - checking the temp of the diode. proceed to increase the voltage to about 105 volts DC. another alternative is to get a 240 ohm resistor, at least 50 watts and connect the AC line in series with the 6 amp diode and the 240 ohm resistor. again watch the voltage - when the battery pack has about 105 volts DC across it, it should be almost fully charged.

- you simply need to replace the batteries. rechargeable batteries loose the ability to retain power. i also have rechargeable batteries for my xbox controllers and i would say batteries last about 5 months with regular usage.

- Q:I just got this phone from a friend. It's the red Upstage that came with the red and black battery cases (the thing you put the phone in). When I put the phone in the black case, the phone shows 2 batteries. When I put the phone in the red case, there is only one battery. I tried charging it but it wont show up. What could be the problem? I asked him about it and he said he doesn't know. He never used the red case.
- I guess you should only be using the black case then if thats the one that works. Your friend probably broke the red one - that's why he doesn't use it and sold it to you.
- Q:I am building a small toy boat from basically nothing and was wondering if the 9.6 volt battery pack would damage the 3 volt DC motor used to propel it. The motor doesn't seem to get hot or sound bad when it's running. Will it hurt the motor at all, even if not running for very long periods of time? Thanks in advance to everyone helping!
- It might hurt it. The rpm is running 3 times the normal rpm. It would be best to measure the amps used with a voltage meter running on 3 volts. Then use a resistor of the correct size to make the amps with a 9. volt battery pack. If you dont know what ohm search for ohms calculator put in 9.6 volt and the amps you measured from the 3 volt. It will calculate the ohms for you. You can find resistors are radio shack get a larger one rated formore than twice the wattage used (wattsamps x volts)
