- I, too, have great respect for David Oreck. As for his vacuum cleaner, I had one. It was expensive. It worked very well when it worked. But mine was in the shop all too frequently. They were nice about it and always fixed it. But I finally got tired of lugging it to the shop (Bad enough to have to lug a vacuum around the house). I finally gave up. But don't just go by me.
