- Q:My little cousin cries a lot when I turn the vacuum on and the dog runs away barking. Why? Sorry if this was a dumb question, I was just curious.
- It all started long long ago, in a land where children dogs and vacuums lived in harmony. The vacuums silently cleaned up after the children and dogs for decades, but soon the vacuums grew tired. they never got a thankyou and were always ignored by the children playing and the dogs running around. Vaccums never got a break, they never had fun. The vacuums decided it was time for a change and attacked the children and dogs with their loud noises. They sucked up all of the toys and all of the fur and soon there was nothing left but the sounds of terror that raged from the vacuums. Things were never the same again.
- Q:I am currently doing house cleaning and using my clients vaccums, but I am wondering if I should get my own, because they mostly have area rugs and their vacuum cleaners are just too strong, it's almost like the vacuum's are trying to eat the rugs! So I was looking at the Eureka, The Boss, and was thinking about getting that, because I just don't want to be liable for a ruined vacuum, or rug! What do you think?Would you rather have someone use your own vacuum which may be too strong, or their own which may be just right?
- I may be in the minority here, but I would prefer that a house keeper, cleaning person use my own sweeper rather than one that has been used in someone else's home. It's one heck of a good way to transmit some not very nice things from one home to another. Things like fleas, bed bugs, dust mites to name a few. We have several throw rugs that the vacuum tries to eat and we just clean those with the hand attachment. Yeah, it requires a little bending over and such but oh well. They are laundered on a regular basis so it's more for pet hair removal than anything else here.
- Q:I have had several of the cheap vacuums from Walmart and they have all left me infuriated. I need one that will last for more than 2 months. I know that you get what you pay for and I am willing to spend some money on it, but not too much. I have 3 animals, too!
- Take a look at the Bissell Healthy Home model. It's got the multi-cyclonic filtering technology similar to Dyson and 1/2 the price. Also has a 5 year warranty and a lifetime belt. On board tools are handy and sturdy. It's not a light weight unit but is solid and has tons of suction. Also has a long hose that works great for cleaning steps and other areas that you can't run the power head on. I have 4 cats and 3 dogs so I know pet hair and this one handles it very, very well. The multi-cyclonic filtering spins the dirt out of the air stream so well that very, very little ever gets to the filters! The unit has the advanced HEPA filtration too so you don't blow dirt back into the air from the sweeper. And it handled drywall sanding dust very well when I was redoing the hall way walls. Most of the time, it's about $250 but if you watch for a sale you can snag it for $200. Well worth every penny!
- Q:is there a place that will let you rent vacuum cleaners for like a few hours or a day?
- Most rental companies rent shop vacs--they are vacuum cleaners.
- Q:It's $199 Cnd., and there's a $249 pet dust model, too. 24 cyclone tech, 17 ft. stretch hose, furniture attachments. Not to be confused with the earlier Shark models. It promises to do same job as competition twice the price, but y'know....Vacuum Cleaners.I just don't feel like doing the 'buy, try, and return' routine, so opinion from someone will be appreciated.
- Would like to know, too .. been seeing the commercials, and wondering how it compares to a Dyson. I have the Dyson Animal, and it's fantastic and easily the best vacuum I've ever owned in terms of suction and what it can get out of the carpet, but of course very expensive. Infinity seems like the same design with more cyclones, and they use the same tagline. Methinks Dyson and the Infinity may be one and the same.
- Q:I am looking for a quality 120V compact vacuum cleaner max. $200. I need a good quality one with lots of suction power(the car socket vacuums are garbage). I have a Rainbow but hate dragging the $2000 machine around the garage and having to refill the water is a pain. I need a vacuum where the nozzles are plastic or non metal since I have 2 BMWs with leather seats and am very careful not to nick or scratch plastic or leather parts. I also want there to be different sized nozzles for the carpet, between the seats, leather seams, ect.. I heard Metropolitan is good. Any suggestions welcome, thanks.
- You paid $2,000 for a vacuum cleaner? OMG, are you that dense and gullible? I cannot find this brand you mention with any models costing $2,000. Something smells here. There are no devices that you describe. If you have this kind of money to spend ask locally as to a shop vacuum cleaner that is easy to use, has the tools you want and select what works for you. But, Dude, someone ripped you off as to a $2,000 vacuum cleaner. Look in the mirror.
- Q:it annoys me so much, i wish they would make a quiet one
- husbands love it, drowns out their nagging wives
- Q:I don't know much about vacuum cleaners. My vacuum cleaner isn't working now. I changed the filter, but it does not pick up the stuff on the carpet. I vacuum over it and it doesn't pick it. I don't know what is wrong with it. I think our last vacuum cleaner may have done that and we just got a new one. What is wrong? Is there a vacuum repair person that fixes vacuum cleaners? Where do i go for that sort of thing?
- If it's an upright with instant hand wand. Step on release and let top rest on the floor, remove the hand wand, clean the tube the wand came out of carefully, with a hanger. The hose the wand is on can also clog too. I could give you more help if I knew what type of vacuum it is.
- Q:YAHOO ANSWERS TOOK MY PREVIOUS QUESTION DOWN SO NOW I HAVE TO ASK AGAIN - does it need it to vacuum
- It completely depends on the vacuum cleaner whether the hose must be in place or not for the floorhead to have suction. Most of the cheap vacuums require the hose to be holstered because suction is through the hose, not other ducting. Dyson is an example of a vacuum that can be used with or without the hose in place.
- Q:We have 2 vacuum cleaners. Both are bagless, only 7 months old and both have weird smell .whenever they are used, smell spreads throughout the house. They have hepa filters, even changed them but still no change. After investigating more, found that the smell is coming from the cyclonic assembly of the vacuum. The assembly is filled with fine dirt, as it cant be cleaned or washed out, there is nothing we can do. Is there a way to get rid of it without opening and cleaning the cyclonic assembly or bagged vacuum is the only way to go. Plz any suggestions? . This smell even bothers in breathing and flares up my asthma also.
- I have yet to see a vacuum cleaner that don't add a smell to the air. Try vacuuming up some backing soda this helps.
