Q: How the old house wall moldy
The old house wall moldy if directly scraping the white, then get well, not how long it will moldy hair. Because there is the presence of mold spores, and there is a suitable breeding environment for mold, coupled with the appropriate temperature and humidity, not long time there will be the phenomenon of moldy hairy hair. If you want to avoid another wall moldy, first of all to find out the cause of the wall moldy long hair, and then targeted to control, will be a long time to avoid moldy. Cause the wall moldy long hair in the north is generally the wall insulation is not good lead to winter wall cold condensation, in the south is generally leaking and weather humid air humidity for a long time too long, so the north must first do Wall insulation layer, the south to do a good job waterproofing and trying to reduce the indoor air humidity. On this basis, would like to scratch the white words, the first to eradicate the old moldy wall, and then spray on the grass at the wall "will be bright wall grams of mold king" two to three times, completely kill the wall mold spores (to the original There are moldy long hair parts around the expansion of 10-20 cm), to be dry after the wall, and then the normal treatment of the wall, and finally painted on the surface will be bright wall grams of mold Wang B liquid, you can prevent a long time The walls are moldy.
Q: My house has not been renovated, according to the upstairs that he bought the best waterproof glue, do a number of waterproof treatment, try to see the water did not see a leak, told me to be assured! What is the possibility of future leakage? Thank you
Well, you should do more waterproof waterproof comparison
Q: I have a large attic with sloped ceiling which are covered with rolls of fiberglass insulation. I use my attic for storage and am up there frequently, and for long periods of time. I would like ideas on what material could be used to cover the exposed insulation, so that I'm not breathing in the fiberglass.Cost and easy installation is a factor. I do not want to put up drywall or any type of regular ceiling, because if there's ever a leak, I want to be able to access it easily. Some sort of lightweight material that comes in a roll that I would be able to install with a staple gun would be great - but not plastic, because I don't want to worry about condensation and mold building up in the hot summertime. All ideas are welcome, and if you know the price of the material you're suggesting, please include it in your answer. Thanks everybody!
3 mill plastic wrap is ok. Just make sure the roof vents are not covered or you will get condensation. Keep clear of any hot vents like gas and heater. I would not be using the attic for storage unless you check it out that is strong enough to support the weight.
Q: Waterproof acceptance how to accept kitchen and toilet waterproof is done?
Fire-resistant paint, aluminum-plastic board, fire board, and fire-retardant woodworking board,
Q: I wonder if there is fibreglass in it.It is easily scraped off, but creates dust from particles.I could remove it myself, but am wary of the dangers it might pose to lungs. There are no windows to the classroom. A student told me that it exacerbates his asthma. The schoolboard solution is to cover it up with a hanging tiledceiling. Is that reasonable? No money in education for removal, unless dangerous. Do I have any reason for concern?
I would research it with the health dept. because it could have hazardous chemicals in it. just think they used lead based paint until I think 1978?
Q: Fiberglass sound-absorbing ceiling features
Substrate: dry glass fiber synthesis, high strength. Surface decoration: acrylic paint non-combustible properties
Q: I want to have an illusion in my room that looks like a car falling thorught the roof. You would look up and just see, maybe the front corner of the car. It is proably hard to think of this but this is something I really want to do but have no place to look for help. Please let me know if you have any sugestions.- Amber K

Q: I have removed textured wall paper from ceiling, the plasterboard is in very good nick, but has gaps between sheets?I really dont want to have to get it all re-skimmed.would the correct approach be to plasterboard joint tape, then lining paper over over it, before painting?Id appreciate a how to.....
best bet is to redo it all the right way...try the fiberglass joint tape it self sticks and is ez to work with...
Q: We recently purchased a condo with an unfinished walkout basement. Two walls above grade have fiberglass batts with a plastic vapor barrier. The ceiling has exposed fiberglass batts. We have no immediate plans to finish the basement, but I will have a washer and dryer down there. There is an electric blower to keep the pipes from freezing, but no other source of heat. I am concerned about exposure to the fiber from the ceiling batts and am wondering if there is any covering I can use to encapsulate the fiberglass, or would removal be the best option? I heard that to cover in plastic would not be a good idea because of condensation. We live in a cold winter climate. Thank you.
Short of a dropped ceiling, you might try stapling kraft paper or the such over the fiberglass. Lets the insulation breathe, but covers it up.
Q: We just remodeled and now have a family room in our basement. This is right under our upstairs living room. All noise in the basement comes directly upstairs. There is duct work running across the basement ceiling to the floor vents in the living room. We have nothing on the basement ceiling right now. Any suggestions of how to reduce the sound coming up? And no, getting rid of our kids is not an option!
Those neighbors getting to you? Hahaha, I used to think about this during the short time I lived in an apartment. Good luck! Yeah I would say insulation and if it's possible have a good 8 to 12 inches of it all the way across the area you are sound proofing
