- You will definitely have to call around to different rental companies. It also depends on what type of chairs you are looking for. (Plastic folding, metal folding, folding wood with padding.) In my area, I just rented 16 tables for 9.50 each. They are the 60 round tables. I have been quoted .75/each for plastic folding chairs and 2.65/each for the white wood folding chairs with padding. (The 2.65 was the total for each chair after tax and a damage wavier) From all of the research I have done on this subject, this seems to be an average rate no matter where you live. Again, you should look in the yellow pages for party rental companies and make a few phone calls. Smart shopping will save you a TON of money! Good Luck and Congrats to you!

- Yes you can, you just have to get the measurements right but they are not cheap... how about sashes for the chairs instead in a nice colour. They are cheaper where we live and brighten up the room. You could even have the coloured sash with a flower in the middle of the back of the chair where the bow is formed....

- Q: Yesterday I was at the mall and used the massage chair for about 30 minutes. I was fine until about 15 minutes after leaving the chair. At that time my whole stomach cramped up and has been shooting pains ever since. This morning it slowly starting to fade until my morning sickness kicked in, now ithe cramps and shooting pain are back again. What I wanted to know is this normal? Has this ever happend to anyone else? Hs anyone else heard of massage chairs being bad for unborn babies?I now know that I can't use them during pregnancy, but I was wondering if anyone else found this to be true? If not, I was thinking that their might be something more that is wrong with me.
- Since you can not really control the pressure, the chairs are a bad idea. The number one goal of prenatal massage is comforting mother/child. An automatic chair can not do that. The mechanical motions of most of those chairs can jar a person and creates a sensation similar to 'shaken baby', but the baby is protected in the placenta. Though it will not damage the baby, it is too much movement for the pregnant body. Massage during pregnancy is wonderful, but it does depend on the mother. It is much debated whether or not one should receive any massage during the first trimester, since that is the time most women miscarry. Also, if the pregnancy is considered high risk, a doctor may not advise massage. But otherwise, massage benefits all the body systems, including increasing circulation, relieves muscle tension, and increases red blood cell count.
- Q: I am currently a freshman in high school. I am third chair clarinet in band overall. This is pretty good, and I am expected to do well. The only thing is, I'm not expected to get first chair until my senior year because the 2nd chair is a sophomore (the first chair is moving soon so he's not an issue) and she's expected to get first chair each year. While I do realize being third chair as a freshman is quite good, I don't want to wait until I'm a senior to make first chair. I know that next year there will be a freshman who is quite good (she's in eighth grade and already knows her scales 3 octaves) and may pose as competition. - I'm new to the upholster game but the best fabric is they heavy ones with that plastic like backing. it's water/spill proof and very easy to cut. now i would lay the fabric on the chair. cut it to size, leaving room for sewing ..i'd say an inch. pin it in place inside out and they sew. now most fabric stores have a chart that has picture diagram on how much you need for whatever kinda chair. I would add 5 yards to that being you're a beginner. Never have too much but OMG if you don't have enough. Good luck!

- Well, I don't know if this will help you any but I work in an office and spend a lot of time sitting down. It would be nice to have a chair that has adjustable lumbar support, the kind made out of the microfoam like the new mattresses that have been recently marketed - you know the kind that conform to your body. This way if the back of the chair is adjusted to support your upper back, the lumbar is not over looked. Currently, I have only seen office chairs that support one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, current markets have chairs that massage or vibrate. These are extremely costly and who wants to plug in their chair to an electical outlet or recharge its batteries. I am thinking that if there were a way to create a warming or cooling sensation this might assist with the blood circulation and may be relaxing too. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

- Q: I have 2 pine log rocking chairs that are beautiful. I want to keep them that way but do not want to darken the wood. I've had alot of advise, from tung oil to linseed oil etc. I want the finish to be water proof as well. thanks!
- Hello ElvisDog, I’m Blake from The Home Depot. Your rocking chairs sound fantastic, and protecting the wood is a great way to make sure that they last for generations! There are lots of ways to go about protecting the surface; however most will change the color of the wood even if only slightly. Tung and linseed oil will waterproof the surface of the wood and help to protect it from rot; but oiling the wood will darken the grain of the wood, the amount of darkening will vary depending on the type of oil used. In order to keep your wood the same color I would suggest using a spray-on polyurethane top coat. If the chairs will be outside, or in direct sunlight you may want to choose a Spar Polyurethane, which is designed to resist the elements. These finishes are available in either high gloss or satin. High Gloss will make the wood look like it is wet and shiny. The satin will give the wood a more natural look, but will still give the wood a slightly more reflective finish than bare wood. Regardless of what finish you choose I would really suggest testing it on another piece of pine before you take the plunge and shoot both of the chairs. If you choose to spray the chairs with Polyurethane be sure to apply multiple thin coats, to avoid running. - Try oberving other chairs and their designs * Metal chairs work because part of the back feet hold the back * Plactic chairs have L shapes Legs, kinds balancing the weight * Other plastic chairs have 2 L shapes in the legs....I can't explain without a picture. * Another method is instead of using four legs, it only uses two sides. From side view, they look like rectangles kinda leaning to the back. From the front, they look like a square being pressed down ( Big down, small up) My advice - Observe other designs.
