Q: Hi well I'm wondering if I can by those 8 pin 6 pin power cords what goes in to your graphics card to plug in to a power socket on the wall. Because I only have 500 wats and at the moment I have the 4850 and already I'm thinking about getting the GTx 295 or something can't remember. They have them in 2 places: Playstation 3 accessories or the PC cable isle in Computers. $10 give or take a couple bucks.

(either side will work) on your amp you should see a + POS and - NEG and remote. the remote is 12 volt + POS this is your on and off switch. the lead wire that comes from your reciever (usually a blue wire that says remote, or a pink wire that says antennae) then hook up you pos and neg wires. (IT'S IMPORTANT TO INSTALL A SEPERATE IN LINE FUSE BOX TO THE POSITIVE WIRE THAT GOES TO THE AMP. W A 60 AMP OR GREATER FUSE)

Q: I just plugged a 300V power cable into power supply that accepts 115-240V then turned on the power supply. The power supply was not connected to the motherboard. I don't have another cable so I can't really check if its still working nor do I want to try again with the 300V cord if it can potentially cause damage.: Just because the cord is rated 300V does not mean that you would get 300V from it. That just needs to have at least as high of a voltage rating that you would be putting through it. What matters is what is the AC voltage of the wall outlet you would be plugging it into?
