Q: What is the name of the mat laid under the office carpet?: There is generally a layer of sponge pad or rubber pad or pearl cotton pad beneath carpet. Diamond carpet does not need a mat uunder it, directly sticked on the ground by glue.

Q: Me and some friends were wrestling around and I got a rug burn...its pretty red...anyone know the best way to heal it and about how long it'll take? (Dnt wanna walk around skool with it but meh) I was thinking of using Neosporin pain relief ointment (the clear kind) 2 times a day..any ideas? Thx in advance :D: Rug burn is chafing , so neosporinr is perfect. Just wash with soapy water and let it dry first. It will clear up fast if it's just red. If its bleeding or oprn will take longer. Aloe, from a plant will work too.

Q: I have two dogs and I am so tired of all the fur on the rugs.: If you are asking about area rugs, then the braided rugs aren't too bad for that but they can slip so need something under it to stop the slipping (stitching rubber sealer rings in random places can work)..I have a couple of natural coloured sheep skin rugs that seem good..the hair from my dog (who sleeps on one a lot or from the cats - have two) doesn't seem to stick to it at all! The only problem I have with the sheepskin is that you have to have it specially cleaned...but looks great.

Q: Do most people prefer carpet over hardwood/vinyl/linoleum?Carpets collect dust hair mites and all things gross.. and you have to vacuum which costs money.. not to mention hard work and is loud and annoying. Also, many Americans wear shoes in their homes. So why would you want a flooring that collects the dirt on the bottom of your shoes? When has home carpeting become generalized standards for most homes? Anybody know?: I have no idea, but maybe it's because it is simple to maintain. For instance if it is a hardwood floor it would be harder to keep it presentable and also it doesn't absorb the impact of our feet while walking around the house. In hardwood floor we have to wipe it and mop. I guess it just looks more comfortable. In my country we also had a lot the custom of having carpeted floors, but now we don't due to allergies stuff. If we have one we have to keep it very clean.

Q: difference and selection of 3D foot pad, hairy pad and the new wire circle pad of car carpet ~: The price of wire circle pad is relatively high, it seems deluxe in the car too. so if your car is a good one, wire circle pad is recommended to choose.

Q: What should I be looking for in terms of quality? How do you tell if a rug is the real deal? Is there any pattern or color scheme that is more valuable. I am not buying it to sell, but want a good rug. Thanks.: Different region use different patterns. Smal knotts are good. the smaler the better. The pattern should be clearly visible in the back otherwise you have a machine knitted one

Q: I have a rug that will not stay put.I have tried the special stuff that they sell to put under rugs to help keep them from slipping. It didn't work.I have dried this special spray stuff that works kind of like the scrapbook glue that you can you can move about. It makes it like a restickable sticker. The sticky wears off quickly though.I have even tried putting felt on the back. That didn't work either.The floor I have it on it my bathroom floor. The tile in there is cheap. It is like the tile on the school floors. (I live in an apartment so I have no choice in that matter.) Part of the problem is also that my cats play tag and the rug seems to be base.Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep this rug from slipping so much?: i always use double sided sticky tape it works for me

A good idea is to turn on some fans to try to get the carpet and padding to dry. However it probably won't until you get whatever is left in the pad to be extracted. You're going to have to hire a professional carpet cleaner to extract the water that was left over. Find a truck mounted carpet cleaning company in your area and ask if they have a waterclaw. A waterclaw would be best for spot extraction. It focuses on removing the moisture that has seeped into the padding. They can also use a wand. This service will usually run your from $70 - $150 depending on your location and what damage has already been done to the carpet. I'm sorry there is no easy way around this. But you want to get that water extracted asap before it causes serious damage to your home and you have to get the carpet and padding placed.
