Q: Someone Stole my stock radio out of my car (They cut it out) Now All i have in the is wires and I cannot afford to go get a new one installed. Here are the wires that are in my car
what you need to do is buy the book for your car at autozone. and look at the radio wiring diagram. i had a similiar porblem but with the book it shall tell you were to hook the wires
Q: I have a Speedaire 4B234 its currently wire to 120V but keep flipping the breaker and I have a 240V in the garage so I want to wire it to that. I have 2 blue wires, 2 red wire, and 2 green wires but the green wires are hooked together. One blue wire goes to Line and the other to Motor and same thing with the red wires.
I looked up the specs on the 4B234. Says it CAN be wired to 240. You will just have to follow the wiring diagram on the motor or with the instructions. Specs say it pulls 15 amps at 120 v or 7.5 amps at 240 v. Your problem now is that maybe you only have a 15 amp or a 20 amp breaker. 15 amps is probably the continuous running draw. The current surge on start up goes over 20 amps and is what is flipping your breaker. you will need a double pole (2 wire) 20 amp breaker. wire it with #12 wire. Say a green, red, black. (or you can use blue and red) Green is always ground (should be). 240 volts works by being 2-120's out of phase by 180 degrees. One wire is pushing (+) while the other is pulling (-). You hook one wire to the motor in and the other to motor out. Running 240 will increase your efficiency.
Q: Why do two parallel wires carrying currents in opposite directions repel each other?
Each of the wires is under the influence of the circular magnetic field produced by the other wire. If you apply Fleming's left hand rule, you will realise that the mechanical force experienced by each wire under the influence of the magnetic field of the other is in opposite direction. So, as the mechanical force on each wire pulls it apart from the other wire, there is repulsion between the two wires. Was this helpful?
Q: I get how to solder one wire to the inverter, but how do I do multiple wires? Do I connect end-on-end, or all at the same source? I couldn't find a good website for doing multiple wires...
don't okorder /
Q: How do I wire MULTIPLE ones? I checked many sites and yes, I do get schematics, I've seen a billion schematics, but now I don't know how to actually put it together. My big question is, can I just solder two wires running from my 5V + terminal like that? Would there be problems? So if I have a 5V battery.
You can do this a number of ways. All of the postive terminals must be connected in some way and all of the commons must be connected in some way. This doesn't mean you have to connect each positive to every other postive, and likewise for the common. You have a few options: You can solder two wires to the positive terminal of the battery and run one wire to each load (device). You can solder one wire to the positive terminal of the battery, run this wire to the first load (device), solder another wire to the first load (device), connect this wire to the second load(device). You can solder one wire to the positive terminal to the battery, run this wire to the second load, solder an additional wire to the second load, and run the second wire to the first load. In industry, power wires are typically jumped from one device to the next to delivery power to each device that needs it. Basically, your power needs to go to each one. How you connect them is up to you.
Q: Hi,I'm looking to change the outlets and the switch and light fixture in a bedroom of a home built in 1948. The outlets are original to the home I think. Will I have to fish ground wire throught to the panel box for my new receptacles? Or just install new 2 slot outlets? Why the different looking wires? Is the older wire copper with a silver colored coating to indicate being neutral or is this an old aluminum wire? The hot wire is red plastic coated and looks modern to me.
you've got some good answers so far. if the wire turns out to be aluminum then proceed with caution because aluminum wire in small sizes turned out to be a terrible idea. it will need a special receptacle. if the wire is bx wire as described in your first comment don't bother with those greenies he mentioned because simply screwing your device into the metal box will bond the ground together. it uses the 6/32 screws provided as an excellent grounding means. you may want to consider using GFCI receptacles as well. I've never seen a new hot wire and old neutral wire like you describe and I've worked on a lot of older houses. before you get into trying to rewire your house realize that this is a very time consuming and aggravating project that will require two people who really should have experience doing this. if you do it then invest in a long (like 4 foot) drill bit and some glow sticks.
Q: I have a 2004 mit lancer and im trying to instal 2 sets of kicker rs65.2 door speakers having trouble with the back the wires on the right are yellow and one has a red stripe the other has a green stripe and the left speaker is a solid green and blue wire how in the heck am i suppose to match those up with the black and red the right seems obvious but i dont want to mess anything up

Q: And if anyone could give me percise instructions on wiring subs to 1 or 4 ohm that would be great. I have two dual 4 ohm subs and need to know how to solder wires or crimp wires.
To properly solder wires you first strip off about 1/2 inch of the jacket and twist the wires together. Now heat the exposed wires, not the solder, till you can get the solder to melt when touched to them. If you really want a pro job use shrink-tubing to finish the job--it must be slipped onto the wires before soldering, then heat with a small butane torch or jet lighter. For wiring diagrams on hooking up dvc subs I like the rockford fosgate website. Hope this helps.
Q: I live in a condo and Im trying to wire a new light. When I wire it, it stays on constantly despite hitting the switch. The wiring Im dealing with is as follows. At the switch on the wall, there is a red wire, brown wire connected to the switch. A green wire connected to the box in the walll behind the switch. In the ceiling there is a brown wire, green wire, and a white wire wrapped with an unstripped red wire.Coming from the fixture are black, white, green.Ive tried connected black-brown, white-white green-green but the light stays on no matter what. Also tried white-brown, black-white, green to bolt. Still the same thing happens. Not sure what to do.
the red and brown are probably positive (red) and the brown (neg) The green is probably a ground wire. You can go to the hardware store. Home Depot or Sears or Ace etc and get a small tester and then touch it to the wires. It will come with instructions and you can also ask the sales person in the electrical dept.
Q: As in quot;I saw this pop up over the wireor quot;it came across the wire from Livingstonquot;.
Wire means line, line of communication between two persons. In this case, a wire is telegram. A telegram is the ancestor of the mail.
