Q:PLEASE HELP ME I AM SO SCREWED!!!!!!!! ITS DARK BLUE AIL POLISH ON SUPER LIGHT CARPET!!!!!
My kids did this to me, dropped it off the top bunk onto tan (rented) carpet and it splattered across the entire room. Its never that easy to get out when I wanna actually put it on my nails. We used goo gone, it took alot of scrubbing but it came out. If it doesnt work good enough, you could try removing some carpet from hidden areas such as closets or whatever and carefully cutout little sections of the painted carpet and superglue the other carpet in there. My mom did that when her friend burned a hole in her living room carpet and it blended right back in and went unnoticed. Good luck!
Q:How to clean the carpet at home
The mop dipped detergent and water drag
Q:Because I live in aus and the temperatures range from *lowest 6-10C winter* and highest around 36C in summer, with no dramatic weather usually, would a horse the is kept out in a paddock all its life **pleasure horse** need such rugs like winter and summer etc? (if it was clipped or didn't have a nice big fluffy coat))thanks.
I'm English , but understand the weather in AUS . A horse that is clipped out , will certainly need a rug during the winter . Even thoroughbreds with a full winter coat are actually better without a rug , your temperatures are not so cold . Rain is an important factor , that can seriously harm their skin . From your temperatures , I guess you to be in Victoria , where they have heavy rain , sleet and snow . I imagine you to be riding daily , or as often as you can . Keeping them clean is another factor , you don't want to waste your time scraping the mud off them . I recommend a Rambo New Zealand rug , if you can get one ; they never shift no matter how much rolling . My big Thoroughbred had one with a net lining , it better not to coddle them too much .
Q:I just bought this big wool shag Rug.. and its really nice except it shedding..there is red hair balls everywere... on the floor...on my cloths ...its almost like having a big red dog that sheds constantly! what can i do ? is there something to spay on it ? someone suggested to me to use hairspray???... any advice?
That's natural for a good wool rug. Don't use hair spray on it. That will just make it get dirty faster. Use the vacuum on it every day or every other day. After a couple weeks, the shedding should let up.
Q:Me and my husband have been searching apartments for rent and 90% come with carpets. Being both from Europe, we are not used to the smell of carpet. We just wondered what happened in this country that so many people use carpets.
Hardwood floors are more common in houses and building built I'd say around 50 years ago. A lot of the housing and apartments are fairly newer so they just put down carpet. My guess is because when they build an apartment complex it's much cheaper. The smell that you're not used to may be the shampoo or cleaner they used to clean the carpet. I'd think the smell will go away after a while.
Q:How to maintain the silk carpet?
Wipe and dry the polluted places, roll up the carpet according to the wool's direction, four is it can absorb moisture on the ground. Don't suck the side ear, it had better to lay a liner under the silk carpet. The cleaning and maintenance of silk carpet the cleaning and decontamination of pure silk carpet. The preservation of silk carpets When the silk carpet is not used, put it in a ventilated and dry place. use towel to absorb polluted places quickly. Change the direction every six months to a year to change the direction of the silk carpet so that the piles can bear force uniformly, this is tha daily maintenance of silk carpet. Silk carpet can be said to be a luxury decoration, and prolong its service life, the two is to extend its life. But the liner does not have to use, three is the liner can make silk carpet not slide. One is to feel more comfortable, but it is not very serious, is the priority among priorities, in daily life, silk carpet needs professional cleaning. If you sprinkle wine or oil on the carpet by accident, you must not put the silk carpet in a plastic bag for a long time. Then use a cloth to dip warm water with vinegar and detergent, then wipe the polluted places. When the silk carpet is laid, it can be cleaned once every two to three years, you can use vacuum cleaner to dedust
Q:How do I wash the plastic carpet?
1, edible oil: with gasoline or carbon chloride and other volatile solvents to clear, the remaining parts should be cleaned with alcohol.2, soy sauce: first brush with cold water, and then use detergent, that is, remove the old dirty juice, you can use warm water to add detergent and ammonia scrub, and then clean.3, shoes oil: wipe with gasoline, alcohol, and then wash with soap.4, urine stains: a new stain liquid ammonia with warm water or 10% scrub removal, aged stains first with detergent, then wash the carpet to ammonia with citric acid washing.5, fruit juice stains: first rinse with 5% ammonia water, and then wash it with neutral detergent. But the ammonia injury effect on wool carpet fiber, so it should be generally available is reduced by using citric acid or soap, alcohol can also be used.
Q:A piece of paper caught on fire, fell on the carpet, I put the fire out and it burned the carpet and the paper melted into the carpet. Using soap and alcohol, I got rid of most of the blackness, but the parts where it's actually burned is still black. How can I get rid of this mark? Would using bleach work?
I had some hot coals fall out of a fireplace and onto the carpet. Vacuumed and got the stuff like you did. Then I got a really sharp pair of scissors and cut out the melted part that was discolored. Was very careful and it looked pretty good when I got done. Bleach will not work on melted plastic. You may also need to pick out the nape a bit to make the surface appear like the original carpet. The other thing I have heard of being done is to take a piece of carpet from a spot where it will not be seen and cut the exact same piece from the damaged spot. Use a little glue and swap the two pieces. The key to these is taking your time and being careful.
Q:how do you make a rug?
Depends on what kind of rug you want. You can go to a carpet store to buy a remnant, then purchase an easy finishing edge cording so it doesn't get ratty edges. Or you can do some quilting and attach it to a straw or rubber type mat. Try googling DIY Rugs and look at all the different types you can make and what the materials would cost. There are so many choices!
Q:what do they mean when it says you have to quot;stretchquot; a carpet you are laying?
You can use the kicker like #2 said but a true stretch will use either the correct stretch which is a long pole w/ teeth on 1 end and the tighten it till the carpet is taunt.. Some newer carpets can be stretched in w/ a crab stretcher.. That is ok on some carpets.. DON T let any one install by just a knee kicker you ll have wrinkles in the carpet within a year or 2.. And it can still happen on occasion w/ a stretcher but it s rare.. GL
