Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) floor accessory is manufactured from a combination of plastic, natural fiber and some additives using special equipments. It mixes natural fiber and plastic perfectly to keep the natural impression of wood but with rich colors of plastic. Q:is there soil on the ocean floor: there was a voyage to the bottom on the ocean on the BBC and there was a point where the water got even thicker. It looked like water rested beneath water if you know what i mean. And fish were almost getting swallowed by it.

Q:I have cold concrete floors that we had to remove the carpet & padding from because of water damage. Thinking of replacing with Cork Flooring. Can any one give me feedback as to how you clean it, durability to wear and tear of two large dogs (toe nails) and insulation specs? Thanks, Shany: If you are using it in a room that is prone to water damage, it is not a good idea. If the concrete slab is in the basement it is also not a good idea. Concrete is porous, water from the ground seeps in through capillary action. You should not use cork, bamboo, hardwood or wooden floors over humid slabs, in humid environments or rooms that are prone to water damage. They are organic materials, they soak in water and favor mold growth. They are not very different from carpet. I recommend you pick inorganic and waterproof flooring options, if you don't want to be replacing it several times over the years.

Q:Explain how the Earth’s magnetic reversals provide evidence of sea floor spreading.Please help, just this one question.I go to TLHS: Because a series of magnetic reversals that are semmetrical either side of EACH mid oceanic ridge have been mapped out and clearly demonstrate the way the the oceans have spread through time. In the late 1950s, a series of oceanographic expeditions was commissioned to map the magnetic character of the ocean floor, with the expectation that the ocean floors would display largely uniform magnetic properties. Surprisingly, results showed that the basaltic sea floor has a striped magnetic pattern, and that the stripes run essentially parallel to the mid-ocean ridges. Moreover, the stripes on one side of a mid-ocean ridge are symmetrically matched to others of similar width and polarity on the opposite side. In 1963, two British geoscientists, Vine and Matthews (Box 1), proposed a hypothesis that elegantly explained how these magnetic reversal stripes formed by linking them to the new idea of sea-floor spreading. They suggested that as new oceanic crust forms by the solidification of basalt magma, it acquires a magnetisation in the same orientation as the prevailing global magnetic field. As sea-floor spreading continues, new oceanic crust is generated along the ridge axis. If the polarity of the magnetic field then reverses, any newly erupted basalt becomes magnetised in the opposite direction to that of the earlier crust and so records the opposite polarity. Since sea-floor spreading is a continuous process on a geological timescale, the process preserves rocks of alternating polarity across the ocean floor (Figure 7a). Reading outwards in one direction from the mid-ocean ridge gives a record of reversals over time, and this can be matched with the record read in the opposite direction.

Q:I have Brazilian Walnut flooring throughout my downstairs. I have used every wood cleaning product known to man and still have dull floors. The latest thing I did was apply amonia to strip the floor of all of the products I have used and WOW what a mistake! I can now see splatters and scrub marks all over. Can someone please offer any advise??: The floor may be dull from the different products used on it. You may consider hiring a hardwood floor contractor to buff and recoat the floor. This is a very simple process that usually runs $1 per square foot and takes only about 1-2 hours to do. This will remove some surface scratches and bring back the shine for a fraction of the cost of a full sand and refinish. It involves very little mess. Then after you have the floors recoated use Bona hardwood floor cleaner. they even make a spray mop similar to the wet swiffer.

Q:Hi I would like to clean my room's floor with dettol. But I don't know how to use it. It is a bottle and there's dettol liquid inside there. I'm thinking to mix with water and then use cloth to clean the floor. How many dettol drops should use for 1 litre of water?: Dettol, is a cleaning product, so you may used it in a buck of water. How much can you pure into the bucket? depends on the bucket and water in it, i would say about less than half but more than quarter of it. I have not heard this word or product in a while ...but it's good ..i use it when i was growing up, as my mother and grandmother used it a lot.....good product .where did you find it anyway.

Q:is it just laminate flooring?: A sad excuse for wood flooring. Yes, they are an inexpensive means of achieving the hardwood look but, they will not wear the same way. You especially DO NOT want them in any area with the possibility of water exposure.

Q:we had a floating floor put down...after all was said and done....the floor looks like it has waffles in it...has anyone seen this? It's light oak...it's ugly and fake looking....speant 13,000 on it...or is this the way it's suppose to look?: That's not right. I done my living room with a floating floor about 8 years back. Cost me about $500 looks as good today. As the day I put it down. You want your sub-floor flat and a nice snug fit between all the seams with each seam lines staggered. You wanna leave a good half an inch along the walls free so the floor can float. Or you could run into some problems. Causeing it to be a bit tight over time. Damp mop is all you want. No standing water. Mine was made by Armstrong. 30 year floor. I do believe it will last. So far very happy with my floor.
