- Q: Home wood flooring because of immersion tilt, how to do

- Q: I saw a lot of things on the wooden floor of the wall, especially such things, I really do not know how to build, I hope you advise more
- First nail the wood keel on the wall, and then use the floor nail a nail on the line! Nail the nails in the joints of each board, nail a finished, and then on a, so just to cover the nail cap!
- Q: Over time I have noticed what appears to be my bathroom tiles moving out of place, as if the floor is slowing caving in. I do have an older house and there has been water leakage from the bathtub into the kitchen that has since been fixed. My question is what kind of professional do I call to take some look at my bathroom floor/kitchen ceiling for repair?
- the carpenter
- Q: The whole second floor (approximately 800 sq. Ft) will have the laminate floors, with exception of the bathrooms.
- Yes you must for a couple of reasons. One is to make a clean transition to another surface or area. It allows the floor to expand and contract normally. Another is with that much laminate it will expand/contract a lot and they are needed every 20/25 ft as per your particular laminate calls for. If you don t , the whole floor can expand enough and actually lift off the floor. Also not putting in the proper transition strips may very well void warranties on the product. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar, I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a couple 100,000 s/f. GL
- Q: What do you think is the best flooring for the living room? What kind of flooring do they use for school gyms? (kind of like wood with lacquer on it). What kind of flooring is the most durable?
- Dirt, its green, easily replaced, renewable, and soft to the feel , and never goes out of style.
- Q: 3dmax wooden floor how to use uvw map
- There are maps, then in the slow reflection of the map, adjust the size, and then modify the reflection parameters. If there is no texture, then tiling, and then adjust the reflection parameters
- Q: Just removed an old lenoleum flooring, ( 50 years), and a Parkay floor. Do they make a floor sander or are there any chemicals that can be used?
- Hand floor scraper is your best bet. The glue from the Parquet will be very hard since these old glues almost crystallizes . Getting the high stuff off and then use a grinder if you need to get it to cement again. VERY dusty though..There are no solvents safe to use in a residential setting that will work . Depending on what you are going to put down again will determine just how clean you need to get the flooring. Any flooring questions you can e mail me through my avatar.GL

- Q: I know a wooden floor is ideal for dancing ballet...but what are some floors you shouldn't dance on?Is carpeted floor okay?
- The best floor is one that is sprung so that it can absorb some of the force of landing from leaps and jumps and thus spare your knees from excess pounding. If a wood surface is placed directly on top of concrete, it's pretty pointless, as concrete would be the worse kind of floor to dance on. Besides, most dancers these days prefer marley on top of a sprung wooden floor. As for carpet, I suppose you're asking in terms of practicing at home? Because carpet is certainly not a good surface for ballet. And, again, the key factor is what is underneath. Practicing in your carpeted basement still means that you're on top of concrete. But since you're probably not going to be moving around much if you're practicing at home, it doesn't much matter what the surface is. My daughter marked moves, stretched, and thought up choreography in her bedroom that has shag carpeting. Practice wherever you're able to; just make sure you are kind to your knees.
- Q: I'm in the upstairs area of a building and when I lift weights the floors squeak horrindously. I'm only here for a few weeks and I'd like to know if there's a mat or something that I can put on the floor.
- Ladonna is right, sub-floor is loose needs to be screwed back down no matter what pads you buy it will still squeak, Generally though if its carpeted it has to come up or wood over layer floor has to come up to fix it You have to put the screws into the joists about every 6-8 inches if you can't locate the joists you will sink many screws and do nothing to fix it! hope it helps Lr
