- Q: For all carpet experts....I accidentally spilled bleach on a small section of carpet in my apartment. I cut out the affected area and tried to patch it with a piece from the closet but the colors dont match. How does the carpet dying process work? I called several places and they suggested I do it myself since they no longer do that sort of work.
- Do you have a steam cleaner? If you do, fill the steam cleaner with water bleach steam clean the whole carpet. That should even it out. I'm interested to hear what other answers you get cause I had a friend spill red wine on my off white carpets that was what I was told to do. Good luck!

- The mats that are used under rugs will make them non slip and make the rugs safe to use. They come in many sizes and can be cut (with scissors)to fit so know your rug size . BUT you must get the type that are made for wood. These are special to allow wood to breathe so they don t stain the wood. - Q: I just bought two six week old puppies today; one for me and one for my boyfriend. we both love them to death but the thing is, I have a rug in my living room everytime we put them on the floor, they poop or pee on it. I guess the reason why is because its brown have pieces that come up as if its grass. the poop is real hard to clean out of it. I asked my mom to take it out the living room but I dont think she will. When we catch them doing it, we hurry up pick them up take them outside but by time we take em out, they're done. Its confusing because we think they want to get off the couch play but instead they poop pee then get right back on the couch fall asleep. my mom doesn't know that they've done it yet. - Protein stains, such as urine, blood, semen, will glow with a whitish tint. I've checked a thousand carpets with a black light,in total darkness, mainly to assess the extent of urine contamination so a decision can be made to either treat the stains or tear the carpet and pad out. I have never come across black stains as you describe them. In any case, even after extensive hot water extraction cleaning, the glow will remain. In your case, whatever caused the spots you see is probably long gone from the carpet, just the residual effect remains, which is permanent.
