- Q:Whether is the wood floor good or the carpet good in the bedroom?

- Q:We have our carpet cleaned once a year and after 6 months all the stains are back. A carpet cleaner told me if it was cleaned properly the stains wouldn't return. My carpet is a type of berber, but not the good berber. I have always used steam cleaning. My question is would a chem clean be better. Another carpet place told me probably the stains were down in the pad. Is there a cleaning that would go deep into the pad otherwise I am faced with getting 1200 yards of new carpet. You imput would be greatly appreciated.
- my husband lays flooring and just said that once it hits the pad, there's no return. sorry but you are faced with new carpet. good news is, if you live around ga....he may be able to help you out. lol. j/k......try the car cleaning stuff called purple power. i used to detail cars and we used that on the carpet and always has clean brand new looking results. it will no fade or dicolor your carpet either. just go to auto zone and gets some. it' worth a try.
- Q:is there anything people can suggest to get an odour out of an area rug... it says specifially that I can't shampoo it so thats out.I can try febreeze but that always seems to just mask the odour it doesn't actually get rid of it.I think the odour itself stems from our vacuum, it needs replacing but until then I need to figure out a work around for this smelly rug as my infant usually has his play blanket ontop of it and has tummy time on there so I really don't want it to smell anymore.1. - this odour was it caused by something that you spilled on ? perhaps milk! a steam cleaner would get it clean , why do you say that you can't shampoo? shampoo the entire carpet , keep the window open when you can and sprinkle some baking soda on it before vacuuming, it has nothing to do with the vacuum it self ,unless the bag is full and needs to be replaced,
- Q:My friend knocked over her beer on my rug and didn't tell me until the morning after... it smells pretty bad. Any suggestions how to get rid of it quickly and permanently? I don't have many tools to use but i can run to a drug store if i need to.
- Pick up as much beer as possible with paper towels. Use a solution of diluted vinegar. About 2-4ounces in a quart should do it. If the smell persists make the solution stronger. Pour the solution on the beer spill area and allow it to soak for a couple of minutes. Then dry the area as best as possible with paper towels. Place a fan on the rug at the spill and allow it to run until the it is dry. Check for the beer of beer and repeat if needed. You may want to use a carpet deodorizer from the cleaning section of the drug store after doing the above procedure. Soaking up as much of the beer and drying the rug is key to keeping the beer smell to a minimum.
- Q:The rug is wool, no backing and about 5x8 and covered in dog and cat hair! Can I do it myself? Or do I need to take it to the cleaners?

Polyester is generally divided into polyester filament and staple fiber, but polypropylene's wear resistance is good than polyester, because of light texture, friction resistance, especially compared with polyester carpet, polypropylene belongs to the synthetic fiber, now polypropylene fiber is more used in the carpet . The key of even a good carpet is easy to take care of, cheap, there is another point is that it's easy to take care of from the hand feeling, polypropylene fiber belongs to the chemical fiber.

- You can rent a carpet cleaning machine and get the cleaning solution at some convinience stores (i.e. City Market in Colorado). Don`t use a lot of water, it`s the foam what cleans it. Good luck

- If okorder / I use the great value brand of cleaner that WalMart carries for my steam vac, it's located with the steam vacs. I get the one for pets, it works good for general traffic and it makes the house smell fresh.
