Q: How long should I let new cement cure before I can build on it?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Will watering new cement help it to cure? How long should I let new cement cure before I can build on it?
Q: please i need help cause i don't know y we r doing this experiment in the first place any one ?
um i think you have that wrong tensile strength is a measurement of how strong something is when stretched so i will assume you mean... MORTAR.. not motor testing the strength of mortar is important for knowing how strong it is when bonding things like cement blocks together when building structures, or for doing a parging coat with .. etc..
Q: My parents have a family of life size cement deer that they want me to bronze. They figured I could find instructions on the internet but so far I'm not having a lot of luck. Does anyone know of a resource that can help me out? (I'm used to painting ceramics but never a bronze finish before -- and never anything that big!)
There are various paints that might be used. However cement can be a problem when it comes to paint, because it is acidic. There is process called acid washing or maybe it's acid staining a process for applying color to existing cement ,primarily floors, that you might look into. Google cement colorants, cement stains etc. Most of the information available on the net applies to industrial application, floor coloring ,architectural applications. Working with cement can be hard on the hands so use some rubber gloves.
Q: please i need advantages and dissadvantages, like how carbide is more expensive, and how high speed steel is resharpable.also a website for references would be nice, thanx in advance.
Generally, cemented carbide is harder than high speed steel. To last the longest and provide the best cuts It also requires different rake angles relative to the material being cut. A negative rake angle is better with cemented carbide cutting tools and a positive rake angle is better for high speed cutting tools. The material being machined is also a factor in the best rake angle.
Q: I've had dental implant placed, and today I have seen my dentist who installed the permanent crown. He cemented it with temporary cement. He reasoned that by if he fills it with permanent cement, then in case anything happens in the future and has to be looked at, then he has to quot;breakquot; the crown and thus new one is needed. However, that is not the case with temporary cement. Is he doing the right thing? I am honestly not convinced too much. He
I'm not a dentist, but we NEVER use temporary cement on an implant crown. I don't see any reason to use it and cannot imagine why your dentist did so. Hopefully Grandpa Walleye will answer this question for you. He is a dentist who gives great advice.
Q: this company is sale cemented carbide ,it seems ok ,but I want to know more information about this company .
I am working in Zhuzhou Jingzuan! i know exactly what they are. they are a new Chinese Company, set up at 2009. before 2009, they are known as Zhuzhou Jingcheng. they are dealing with cemented carbide products: CNC inserts, mining tips, end mill, carbide rods, and tungsten bar, tungsten board. and from 2009 to 2012, they are only sale within China, after May 2012, they begin open their international markets. and what kinds of info do you want to know? you can write to me
Q: Who likes the smell of fresh cement?
what does it smell like?
Q: I want to re-do the tile that surrounds my tub walls because the old tile has water damage and rotted. I was wondering which type of tile cement backer board is better ? hardiebacker cement board or durock cement board ? and should I install a vapor barrier between the studs and backer board... I seem to get mixed opinions on that ?
Oh, installing a vapor barrier behind the cement board is absolutely necessary. Tile with grout isn't waterproof at all, and you want to keep that moisture out of the wall. Some people even go beyond asphalt paper and insist on using a nail-hole sealing material like bituthane because they are that concerned about the moisture making its way through. Durock is better for walls that will be under constant barrage from water like a shower because it acts more like the troweled-on mortar a professional tile guy would use. Being more purely cement, it will be less likely to expand and contract than the hardi-backer, which contains more fiber.
Q: What percent of garnet is in cement?
There shouldn't be any garnet in cement. Portland cement (the most common one) is a mixture of roasted limestone, clay and gypsum. None of these rocks normally contain garnets.
Q: Portland cement
Do you mean concrete, that holds things together or for roads and bridges? It can be confusing because many call concrete cement. Concrete that is being mixed in the drum truck is made of cement (a dust), rock, sand, water, air. For some projects they will add flyash or other lighter weight additives and lower the actual amount of cement included.
