FAQ
Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?
Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.
Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q: Can anyone recommend an inexpensive vacuum for hardwood floors?
- For hardwood floors I wouldn't use a vacuum. Just use a regular broom and dustpan. Then mop your floors. I use Murphys oil cleaner that you mix with water and mop your hardwood floors. It works great.
- Q: Usually I just have to sweep kitty litter off the bathroom floor, but now I have some on my carpet. Is it ok to use a vacuum?
- Can You Vacuum Cat Litter
- Q: My current vacuum broke and I need to get a new one. Where could I get a good vacuum at that is not too much money? I do not want to spend more then $80 and I live in Denver, CO.
- Best Buy, open box item
- Q: I've never had one so any opinion would really help.THANKS...
- I have only owned one robot vacuum, and that's a Roomba Discovery. I LOVE IT!!! I do still vacuum weekly with my regular vacuum. Roomba will only get floors, and won't vacuum couches, beds, etc. This may not make a big difference to you, but if you have pets like me it's huge. Anyway, back to the question at hand. I love my Roomba. I sit it in the middle of a room once or twice a week and it keeps everything cleaner. I dust less. It's easier to vacuum when I do use the regular vacuum. If you have large open areas, you may also want to invest in the longer life battery. As for others, I have only heard what other people think. And ALL have said that the only one to own is the Roomba Discovery. I guess I lucked out starting with that one. I saw on the iRobot website the other day that they have a newer one called a Dirt Dog, or something like that. I believe that's designed for pet hair pick up so that's something to keep in mind. Cons - not many. It vacuums for you. You don't do much.
- Q: How can I tell how loud a vacuum is before I buy it (if there is no display model)?
- Decibel okorder /
- Q: case in point: we have bought two vacuum cleaners in the last 4 years that have stopped working. i mean, we only vacuum once a week or so, and these were name brand vacuums like hoover and such for around $100 or so. they shouldn't have died so quickly. anyway, i bought an antique vacuum from the 1940s off OKorder and it works like a dream. i imagine if it has lasted 60 years, it will serve me well for many more. i am just sick of cheap products. anyone else buy antiques instead of quot;brand newquot;?
- Case in point, I have blown up at least 2 vacuums per year for the eight years I've lived here. I had a Siberian Husky and had to vacuum nearly everyday to keep my house from looking like it snowed in here. I finally got the extended warranty for $19 and they have replaced it for free the last 5 times. Also, do you notice more stores are limiting the return time? Some stores it is 30 days, some 90 and most products don't go bad in that time frame. So, you are stuck with it. I have a Sunbeam toaster from the 1950's that has outlasted the one I got for my wedding that almost burn down my kitchen! It is all of these products coming in from China which are meant to be disposable, but cheap.
- Q: Are the kirby vacuum cleaners really a quot;good investment. My husband let these people in our house who were quot;promoting a new store were offering a free floor cleaning demoquot;...FREESkipping to the point..I was lied to and pressure into buying a $2000 vacuum cleaner. I called to cancel but they keep sending people to my house to convince me it's a quot;good investmentshould I keep it or tell them to f* off call the cops next time they come to harrass me? I felt bad because they were here for so long but I can't afford this quot;investmentquot;. They made me feel guilty saying I spend more a month on my cell each month but afterall it's still $2000 for a vacuum
- We bought a used 'ninety 4 Kirby in 1996. We paid $4 hundred. for it. i admire the effective suction, in spite of the undeniable fact that it additionally comes with drawbacks. right here are my evaluations approximately this Kirby: a million. i do no longer in common terms like the cost of changing the filters (they're approximately $8. a bag and in common terms have 3 bags in a kit. 2. this is not consumer-friendly to alter from vacuum to using the hose. 3. this is variety of heavy and cumbersome and does not maneuver definitely. in my opinion, this is not fairly worth it. you ought to purchase a bagless Dyson for around $500. and that they paintings super. Does the $1800. cost comprise all the attachments? do you elect all those attachments? Are all the bells whistles fairly worth $1800.?
- Q: I need to buy a new vacuum because the dirt devil I have doesnt work. I would like some feedback before I buy a new one. I'm looking to spend around $100 dollars. Any preferred models or brands?
- We have a Rainbow and I absolutely love it. It works for all surfaces and the water in the chamber keeps dust from blowing around. It has a shampoo attachment, also you can use it as an air freshener. I would never own anything else. They are expensive but well worth the money.
- Q: Every time I vacuum in my house, my dog comes running over, apparently all excited because I brought out the vacuum cleaner. But then if you bring it within 2 feet of her, she backs away. She always seems half afraid of it, half interested in it. I'm pretty sure a lot of dogs behave strangely when there's a vacuum cleaner around. But why?
- It's probably a natural thing. At least she's not like my cat. My cat hates ANYTHING involved with cleaning: vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops... You name it. My cat is strange that way.
- Q: They look like vacuum cleaners
