FAQ
Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?
Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.
Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.
Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?
All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.
- Q: I am planning to start working for Rainbow vacuum. Any warning that I should know about? Any helpful hints? Anything?
- The vacuum cleaners are hard enough to sell in a normal economy. In a lousy economy like what we have now, the job is vene more difficult. Folks don't buy a $1300 vacuum just because. They have to be fully convinced it is worth the money. It is very heavy, especially with the water in it, and you should not try to dismiss objections about carrying it up down stairs - that is really not recommended, and not to be advised because of the risk of injury. They either empty the unit of water, and refill on the second floor, or they buy a second system for the second floor - and you can double your sales! If you every find such a customer, give them a good discount on the second system, OK? Good Luck; but in case things are slow, I suggest you have another part time job ready.
- Q: I think my little brother (almost 20 months old) has Zuigerphobia. I know I'm being stupid, but I'm just curious. Is there a high chance that my brother will grow up with Zuigerphobia or Ligyrophobia? Or will it pass over, like for most people? I don't want him to be in his 30's, hiding in fear of the world.
- Lol he will probaly be fine. He is just a little kid who is probaly startled by the loud noises the vacuum makes. As he gets older he will learn it is nothing to be afraid of. In the mean time just vacuum when he is not home
- Q: I have a memory foam mattress topper that was vacuum packed in its original box, and when I took it out originally, it expanded to many, many times its original vacuum packed size. I live far away and need to ship it to myself now, but now that it's not vacuum packed and shrunk, I can't get it much smaller than the largest of my suitcases. Is there any place that I can go to get it industrially shrink wrapped or vacuum packed (preferably in the DFW area) so that I can get it down to at least a fraction of its original size? The home vacuum sealers won't do the trick; this mattress pad is much too strong and large for what they are intended to do. I've tried and nothing works, I'm thinking only an industrial stength vacuum packer will work.
- You might try calling some cleaners. They vacuum seal wedding dresses for storage (they may ship them out for that). You may be able to find out from them. You may want to also try packing and shipping stores. Good luck ------ I live in Allen (DFW area)

- Q: I saw a wide range of prices for vacuum cleaners...I just need a decent one, how much should that cost?
- I happen to have a consumer reports online subscription, so i looked it up for you in the members only area. They rate the upright vaccums in the same category. There are a bunch of expensive models but the top rated ones under $200 are: In order from top to bottom in the rating. -Eureka Boss Smart Vac 4870 ($150) *CR Best Buy -Hoover Tempo Widepath U5140-900 ($70) -Eureka Boss 4D 5893 ($140) -Hoover Mach5 U5194-900 ($200) -Hoover EmPower U5262-910 -Bissell Momentum 82G71 -Bissell Lift-Off Revolution Turbo 3760-1 ($170) So if you can find a couple of these and compare them, you will be the smart shopper. By the way. The number one and number two picks by consumer reports were two different models of the Kenmore (Sears) Progressive with Direct Drive (one is bagless, the other one has a bag) The Eureka above is listed at third (has a bag). Dyson came in 9th.
- Q: Which make of vacuum is better for it's money?
- Rainbow, shmainbow. The question is for a vacuum cleaner, not a service. Kirby's reputation was based on their very solid machines. I am not sure that today they are any more solid than their competitors, and I think they are WAAAAAAY more expensive. Although they have updated their machines and are incorporating modern technology, I think that the edge in terms of performance, not to mention value, goes to competitors. I looked at the ratings for vacuum cleaners on one of the rating sites, and found that the Kirby came in 8th place after 4 Hoovers, 2 Kenmores, 1 Panasonic, and 1 Eureka, all in the $140 to $550 price range (as compared to the $1350 for a Kirby). You can also find good buys in the Riccar and Bissel lines, and if you are a slave to design, you can take home a Dyson for $400 to $500. So anyway, back to your question: Hoover by a mile.
- Q: My roommate is allergic to cats, and when I got my kitty I told her that if her allergies got too bad, I'd send him to live with my dad, but I do NOT want to do that and am trying to find a good vacuum for someone with allergies. I'm looking for something with a HEPA filter. Can be bagless or have bags. I'd really prefer an upright to a canister. Looking in the price range of $60-$200, but willing to hear suggestions for more expensive models. MUST HELP REDUCE ALLERGENS!!
- Most bagless vacuum cleaners have HEPA filters. You should be able to just go to your local target/wallmart/sears and pick one out. Another thing you can do to help is buy an air purifier for your roommate's bedroom. Most styles are basically a fan that pulls air through a HEPA filter. It would do a lot of good because allergy symptoms are usually worst in the morning right after someone wakes up since the person has been laying down sleeping which makes them prone to congestion.
- Q: i cant decide from two vacum cleaners i need one that is not heavy. also easy enough to push it.The two of them are:Shark navigator 22and Dyson i think 33 please help me decide on a good vacuumthanks
- I have the Dyson DC25 ball and I love it, highly recommend! It's pretty light and works like a charm!
- Q: Hello everyone,I was wondering which automatic in ground pool vacuum is good for cleaning?I am looking for something cheap and reliable, anyone have any experience with some good vacuum cleaners which does the job. Thanks,Jessica
- i own a pool company and your better automatic pool vaccums would be either a polaris or a creepy crawly but you can get them cheaper online then in a pool store. look under pool companies
- Q: Hi I'm considering buying one as I have back problems and vacuuming is tough for me, but I'm not sure how effective they would be. If anyone has used one, please let me know, Thank you!
- They work great just as long as you dont have rugs that might get stuck in it. Tile floors with quite a bit of open room is perfect. They also sell little sensors that dter the vac from certain areas that you might consider. The scheduler can be programmed to venture out at a certain time then return for charging after completion of its rounds. Great product!
