1.Features of copper clad aluminum magnesium alloy wire:
a) Excellent resistance to abrasion and solvent,
b) excellent electricity performance
c) Excellent heat shock, adherence and flexibility,
d) high cut through

2.Introduction of copper clad aluminum magnesium alloy wire:

Aluminum-magnesium alloy wire is high strength low alloy steel, heat treatment has good mechanical properties, high strength, sufficient toughness, hardenability, weldability (preheat), processing formability are good, but the resistance low corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, usually after quenching and tempering or isothermal use. High strength quenched and tempered steel. Has high strength and toughness, high hardenability, cold plastic deformation moderate, good cutting performance.

Q:So on my ceiling fan I have a white, black, green, and blue wire. In the ceiling I have a green, white, black, red, and bronze wire. What gets connected to what? Thanks for the help!
Green to bare bronze, blacks to blacks, whites to whites, blue to red. Done.
Q:I'm trying to tighten the electrical wires on my car.Do I just use pliers and twist them tighter? Can I use my hands?-tightening the wires on my ignition switch and starterNeed to know asapNo B.S. just need to know how
I think that twisting with a pair of pliers is best, less chance of getting a nasty metal splinter in your skin.
Q:like lets i want to want to connect my speaker wires with other wires can i use elmer glue so that it sticks and will the wires still work?
u have to take off some of the plastic parts then twist the wires together then put electrical tape.. well atleast thats how i think it's done..
Q:95 Grand prix factory radio is neing hooked up to an amp. Whats a diffenrent alternative besides hooking the amp remote wire to the car radio remote wire.
Power antenna wire (will not work if your antenna goes down when a CD/Tape is played) Any Key on, Hot wire (will cause your subs to make a pop if you have your radio off when you turn your key on or if your radio has any kind of delay on start up) Buy an wire harness to plug in an aftermarket radio so you know what wire is the AUX wire on your radio. (You will use it later when you buy the aftermarket head unit)
Q:I'm just wondering would i be able to connect a split 8 gauge wire with wire nuts like i'll explain:Use two wire nuts instead of one and divide the copper wire on both ends and wire nut both sides together with 2 nuts. The whole apparatus would look kinda like this:----lt;gt;---- with the wire nuts connecting the two arrow thingsThanks anyone
8 gauge wire is fairly heavy so I'll assume that this is not a low power application such as speaker drivers. I assume you want to do this because you don't have a proper connecting method of adequate size and you do have a couple of smaller size wire nuts. The proposed configuration would not be acceptable by any electric code for utility wiring for this reason. If one of those wire nut connections should fail, say due to corrosion or mechanical damage, the remaining connection would be required to carry the entire current load that both would normally share. This would no longer be adequately protected by a circuit breaker sized for the full 8 gauge wire. A high resistance point is developed with a high fire risk. Also the wire nuts would not be able to shield the conductors beyond the end of the wire insulation sheath. The exposed wire portions would need additional protection from incidental contact by some future service person. Please don't do this. Not a good practice.
Q:I am replacing an outside floodlight, the cable from the house has 4 wires (black, brown, grey and yellow), but the floodlight has the standard 3 live, neutral and earth fitting. How would I wire the new floodlight.. the wiring for the old floodlight is less than a year old on a house rewire. Thanks!
Four wire power cables used to be used for 2 and 3 phase power. You would normally provide floodlight power with the use of 3 wires. How long is the cable length from house to floodlights? I would look to see what your source wire colors are and try to match those. It used to be in the USA that the red wire was used to carry the 120/240 Volts AC (50 ~ 60~ Herz). The Black wire was considered the return or negative line; and if you have a green wire it is used to put an earth ground on all the shielding, metal jackets, etc.
Q:do speakers function better with thick or thin wires??
It depends. If you are just gonna wire the speakers and just play it with mid volumes or normal operating volumes. these wires weather thick or thin doesnt matter. but if you want to push the speakers to it's potential, you need a good quality wiring kit. mostly these are guage 4-8 wires or thick wires of course thicker wires more current it can handle .
Q:i have some ikea wall lights that are wired to plug but i would like to wire them into exsiting wall points. Is this possibleSandra
yes as long as any fuses that you remove along with the plug are equalled by fuses in the spur outlet you are using, and the wires are secured so they cannot be pulled down , the plug is the weak point in the circuit if the wire snags it pulls the plug out if you secure the wire the weak point is most likely the wire if it breaks you will have a live wire dangling about so if its not secure its dangerous
Q:On a seat switch on a poulan mower it has three wires are two of them grounds or one.
It's probably one positive, one negative and one earth ground.
Q:I am planning to wire my single sub 400rms svc to my amplifier 400rms x 1 @4 ohms. My car model is 94 mitsubishi lancer. how many AWG ( gauge) should I use? Like for Power, ground, speaker wire. I just want to have the full potential of my sub and ampli. For my 2nd question: if I decided to put a 2nd sub wired it on the same amp making it 800rms x1 @ 2 ohms. (my amplifier is a class d mono 1600 watt peak by the way) should I need to use a capacitor?Thank you
Well a capacitor is always desired for me...even if not to help the amp...it also helps your alternator/battery. Most class D amps can handle 2 ohm mono...actually most of them can handle 1 ohm mono...as for wiring. It depends on how many amps your amplifier's fuses are. If your amp is drawing more than 50 amps I'd say 6G or thicker. less than 50amps then 8G is plenty. The wattage the amp says it puts out is misleading...the fuses on the side of the amp tell the whole story. 12g speaker wire should take care of you as well. If the amp were on the larger side (requiring 6G wire or thicker) then 8G speaker wire would be a good idea.
