Hello I'm glad to answer that for you. First of all, acrylic carpet certainly suitable for household, acrylic carpets strong benefits and beauty become more people preferred. Q: I am desperately trying to find out how to remove melted candle wax from carpet. Help!
Hi There is two ways to remove wax from carpet. 1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet. 2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed. From a carpet cleaner of 14 years
Q: hi!i just got a new carpet about 2 weeks ago.i have to vacuum every single day.little balls of the carpet like shed, and they are everywhere!is there anyway to stop this from happening?and will it stop eventually?thanks.
Very common in a staple type carpet.. It will go away after a while.Only a continuous filament carpet will not do this.. There should have been a label on the back of the samples you looked at and they usually stated this.. Mine did in my store
Q: I'm getting new carpet put down in my room soon, but I'm very clumsy and I can't keep it clean. Is there some kind of carpet protector (much like a screen protector for a phone) that I can put over my new carpet?

Q: wy do we need carpets, why are carpets important? why did you buy a carpet?thanks
I think it's mainly personal preference. Carpeting does make the floor warmer---and is much softer on the feet. It comes in a rainbow of hues so it can be utilized to co-ordinate with your decorating scheme. I prefer carpeting because of these reasons but mainly because it is much easier to maintain than hardwood floors. Spills must be wiped up immediately to prevent permanent spots and warping at the seams of hardwood floors. It is much simpler in my estimation to run a sweeper and/or carpet shampooer than to re-finish and buff wooden floors.
Q: We are going to be purchasing carpet from Lowe's, its a stain master carpet, and Im not sure what type of pad to buy.. does it really matter??
Depends on the type of carpet your purchasing. Regular residential carpet such as you textures and plushes, the thickest carpet makers allow you to go is 7/16. The pad poundage is one of the most important things. They warranty no carpet under a 5 1/2# pad. Firmer is better such as a 6/8 or 10# pad for standard carpet. Walk on each density in stocking feet under the carpetr sample of the carpet you choose. There are different types of pad. There is the standard rebond made up of bits and pcs of foam. Usually this come from auto seat cushions ( scrap) and some times other places. This pad is just ok and will work. But every so often ( and its rare) you ll get a hard chunk of padding. Manufacturers will not warrenty any carpet put on anything thicker than 7/16 and rated less than 5 1/2#. Then you have a pad made specifically for carpet. No lumps or pcs. Good stuff. Then you can get some made that water will not penatrate it. Usually called pet or kid proof pad, or a similar name.Must be specially installed. Then there is rubber pad, some times guarenteed for the life of your house. Expensive and can be stiff since this is usually in the 20 # range. Berbers and commercial grade type of carpet is basically the same types of pad but the thickest you can go is 3/8 and a minimum or 8# density. All these pads are rated so that the backing material on the carpet doesn t break dont prematurely. So padding does matter and makes a differance. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. Q: We've lived in our house for almost two years and have the most annoying rug in the living room. It sheds constantly and it's like having a pet! I'm getting really sick of it as don't like putting my baby son down on the floor to play as he ends up covered in white fibres and if they get on his hands, they're in his mouth! No amount of vacuuming seems to help. I'm thinking about getting a new rug, but worried about spending a fortune only to have the same problem again! Does anyone know any types of rug that won't shed? I've read that wool ones are the worst... any general rug advice appreciated!!!
Synthetics like nylon and polyester do not shed. If you look for a rug or carpet that has a long period of wear warranty, that is likely the kind that doesn't shed. That type of rug may have other issues, like less resiliency, but if shedding is the concern, go for synthetic.
Q: It is a shag type rug made with leather strips. I need to know how to vaccum it without tearing it up or blowing up my vaccum cleaner. I have a dog that sheds horribly twice a year and well, this is one them!
I would suggest using a brush attachment, rather than the heavy part of the vacuum. If it's small enough, you might be better off taking the rug frequently to shake it out outside. Good luck!
