Q:How do you clean the carpet with worms?
Decontamination method. Ink stains can be used citric acid cleaning; coffee, cocoa, tea stains can be removed with cold water and glycerin; fruit juice plus a small amount of dilute ammonia solution to remove paint stains; use gasoline to washing powder together into a porridge like, painted at night to paint, clean water can be cleaned for second days.
Q:What are the brands of household carpets? What's good?
My advice is to choose a large area laying vinyl woven carpet, so as not to breed mites nor bacteria moldy, cleaning care is also very simple, good vinyl woven carpet on the choice of the Swedish dragon carpet, if not too clean trouble, or simply choose a small decorative blanket can be considered if more than other traditional brand carpet.
Q:do you have to have a specific prayer rug? I have one from Saudi Arabia. Would that work
It is not necessary to have a prayer rug with you but say if your travelling you probably need one because you wont prostate on stones would you? and prayer rugs are comfortable as well. the one you have will work easily.
Q:Tattoo Ink out of carpet??How can I get Blue tattoo ink out of a green carpet and a grey carpet??
Use hairspray but the kind in an aresol can and dab don't rub, keep using fresh paper towel, I've gotten pen and grease out of coats, carpet etc with it but the trick it to dab and keep using fresh paper towel. Also when you get to just a bit left scrub it with TSP Tri Sodium Phosphate worked for me with chinese red candle spill on my beige carpet, it was aa wool carpet worked really well, with candle paper towel and an iron, ink just paper towel and aresol hairspray. Good luck.
Q:what color should I choose....my walls are already a shade of green so I'm kind of looking for another color.
I think a brown non-solid rug would look nicer... this pink solid colored rug may draw too much attention away from the bed. Color-wise, it should be fine if you like the rug that much, but I honestly think it'll take too much attention away from the bed sheets.
Q:I got a rug burn on my toe Monday and not quite sure how to treat it. When I looked up how to treat rug burns, every site said that they were like 1st degree burns or a sunburn and should be pretty much treated the same way. However mine is open and for the first few days, was leaking pus and a clear liquid. It hasn't healed up yet and I have been treating it as a cut. It fizzes when peroxide is applied but today didn't do it as much (and hurts much less). Am I doing the right thing? Also is there a cool trick to get a band aid to stay on my toe? The burn is at the joint that is the foot equivalent of a knuckle.
Use Aloe Vera gel. It will help it to heal faster. Keep it around, it's great stuff. Or you can buy an Aloe plant and cut a leaf and rub the gel on.
Q:How do I wash the plastic carpet?
Also called rubber plastic carpet carpet is made of polyvinyl chloride resin, plasticizer and other auxiliary materials, through uniform mixing, plastic form, it can replace the carpet and carpet use. The plastic carpet soft texture, color fresh, comfortable and durable, non flammable, and self extinguishing, not wet, not moth eaten, not mildew, good elasticity, abrasion resistance, according to arbitrary area
Q:I am looking for someone to pull the glue down carpet I have on my concrete basement floor off. Also, would install new carpet in for a reasonable price. I will buy all the materials needed. I just need someone to remove and install it. I live in the Piedmont Triad area in North Caroline. Please help.
Removing glue-down or any carpet does not require any special skill, only some amount of strength and the proper tools. You will need a good utility knife with a couple of packs of sturdy replacement blades. You can use the knife to cut thru the carpet, making it into approx 3x3' or 4x4' sections. Then just start pulling the carpet up. Cut one section at a time, remove it then proceed to the next. If any foam is left stuck to the floor, you only need to remove the thick sections. A small amount can be left stuck to the floor since the new carpet and pad, will cover this. You can use a stiff 3-4 wide putty knife to scrape off the foam that's left behind or rent or buy a scraping tool, on a long pole to do the job. I have done it with just a putty knife. Then get some estimates for new carpet and installation. Home D and Lowes offer almost free install.
Q:so we put the dog in a room, and you know dog scratch at the floor, well my dog scratched so much he pulled off the carpet. the carpet is still together, the padding mostly is too. Is there a solution to this?
Hi okorder
Q:I've just moved into a beautiful older home (125 years) and, although it's been recently re-wired, there just isn't always an outlet where I need it. I live with my elderly mother and do not want to take a chance that she might trip over a cord. When I do short tasks like ironing or vacuuming, can I slip the excessive cord under a rug so that she will not encounter it with her feet. She is absolutely sure that I'll burn the house down - and she's incredibly intelligent, but I'd like to hear from a real fire prevention expert.Thank you for your expertise - I think that safety is essential - paranoia is a bit much, though!
Folks, it is oh so important to READ carefully, the question you're considering answering. I see absolutely nothing wrong, in the least, with this lady's idea of putting any excess cord under a throw rug so that her mother doesn't trip on it. As long as you don't forget it, and leave it there, you're perfectly safe. Check the cords in question to be sure they're in decent condition, don't put cords under any rug or sheet or anything of that nature that is showing wear of any kind of the insulation around the wires. As long as you observe a few common sense ideas you should be safe as safe can be. If, in the future, you find yourself wanting more recepts than you currently have, you could purchase one of the new multi-outlet extension cords used by carpenters, electrians, builders, workmen, in a #12 size wire. It won't be real cheap, but they come in 25 ft, and 50 ft. lengths. You could plug that into one outlet in any room and run it around the outer edges of the room to wherever you want electricity. You can leave it there indefinitely, as it doesn't draw any juice as long as nothing is plugged into it. Being on the outer reaches of the room, it's easily hidden by running it behind a cabinet, or chair or couch, etc. We live in a house built in 1904, so 106 years old, we've done this in many rooms, and are still utilitizing them to this day. We also have much of the old ball and tube wiring functional in our basement and a few walls.
