Q: The basin of the faucet with marble is black
Artificial marble, the quality is relatively poor.
Q: The under-sink cabinet in my bathroom is cheap hollow plastic and is the most hideous shade of off-white, just looks dingy. I want to paint it a nice, clean, bright white. What kind of paint should I use and how do you go about painting it?
Spray paint. Doesn't matter what kind. Go to Kmart, Walmart, Big Lots, Lowes, Dollar store and buy a can. The cap of the can is the color of the paint. Get gloss white. And get yourself some masking tape. One roll. Total cost under 5 bucks. Tape over the sink where you don't want to paint. Shake the paint for a minute or two till you can't hear the ball no more. Paint the cabinet from left to right - always keeping the can moving when you have the nozzle down. It's real easy to have runs with spray paint if you keep the can in the same spot too long. Always keep it moving. You can practice on a piece of cardboard if you've never painted before. Spray light coats. Give it 20 minutes between coats. May take 2-3 coats if it's really dingy.
Q: kitchen sink: it sounds like theres a waterfall underneath it and, from what we can tell, it seems to be leaking from the vertical pipe.bathroom sink: sounds like a very tiny waterfall. It mainly sounds like a water faucet does when you have it turned on at normal speed. The water is draining off of the bottom part of the sink bowl so it must be leaking right around there.help please! thanks!
you should proabably get that checked,, if you don't want to replace it.. its the safest way out.
Q: Balcony washbasin marble good or good stainless steel
Stainless steel is too soft and nice. If it is often used or marble is good, occasionally with about stainless steel
Q: i smell a bad smell form the drain of my sink... i believe the contractor who installed it forgot to block off one of the pipes or something. suggestions on what might be the cause of the bad smell?
Hi Most bad smells on English fitted sinks emanate from the overflow system, also if you have two sink bowls the plumbing under the sinks for the combined waste outlets can be fitted incorrectly by the contractor ie sweep tee's fitted the wrong way round in should sweep in the direction of the water flow to the drain, most importantly there must be no back fall in the pipework it must have a fall towards the drain, also if you have the dish washer plumbed into the same drain pipework that can cause odour problems, You need a skilled plumber to cast is eyes on it and the problem should be easy for him to spot, you can bill the contractor. I against trade practise always bung of the overflow connection on my kitchen sinks they do not do the job they were meant for they are almost impossible to keep free of germs and smells its a total waste of time and tend to leak when the sink bowl is full you must always keep the water level below the overflow out let, if ever you left the tap running you would perhaps gain about two minutes before the water overflows the sink. After all that do you mean the outside drain gully? if you do the gully needs to be cleaned , that requires long arms and rubber gloves if the smells persist you have a drain problem , ie a dig up job, if the contractor did some underground work get him back to have a look. The bathroom sink smells usually come back through the overflow the same as the kitchen sink, you need to keep the trap under the sink spotless needs to been cleaned every few months the overflow itself is a source of smells and you need to squirt a cleaning fluid into the overflow out let, weekly cheers Bob a job
Q: My family bathroom basin and the following cabinet to connect the gap, out of the water! Solve!
The reason for the leakage of water is that the copper joint below the faucet is loose. Close the main valve, remove the faucet, you can see the copper joint. Remove the joint. Tighten with a waterproof tape and then tighten.
Q: Toilet wash basin into the water pipe to stay high
This should be combined with your washbasin, the general height of the wash basin in the 800-900mm, the water pipe must not be higher than the basin, the shorter the better the length of the water hose, the general 200-300, so you can consider from the ground 500-600 The Upstairs to answer seems to be too high, a low side.
Q: I live in the first floor of a two floor apartment. When someone in up-stair uses the kitchen sink, the dirty water flows back to my kitchen sink. It stays in the sink for couple of minutes then goes away. Sometimes the odorous water overflows and makes my kitchen floor very smelly. The super of out apartments seems to be struggling to find out why it is happening. He changed the pipe. cleaned it, etc. nothing seems to be working. DOes anyone know the cause. Please help! It snowed yesterday, and I do not have if that has anything to do with the situation.
you both share a common drain line and some body is putting grease down the drain and its choking the pipe, drain cleaner and a sink plunger might clear it if not then a small drum auger will help. then followed by lots of hot water, and tell your upstairs neighbor to refrain from using their sink until you finish clearing the drain, for best results bail out the water and have hot water ready to put in . people take for granted that all goes down ok but after time it builds up to the point of blockage that pipe is cold and it clings and just builds up to where a pea can block it. good luck and just changing a piece of pipe don't get the blockage I have a 35 foot drum snake and some times I barely make it to the clog it (the kitchen drain line) runs all the way to the main sewer line .
Q: What is the best way to clear a clog bathroom sink drain?
You can try pouring some baking soda in it and then pouring white vinegar in also & see if the volcanic activity will clear it out, or use a plunger, or a chemical like Drano, or you can gently take the pipe apart, remove the elbow in it and run water thru the elbow. That is usually where a drain gets plugged up at. If none of those things work, you can use a drain snake on it (be careful), or call a plumber,
Q: How is it that the basin is slow?
It is possible that your sewer exhaust pipe is not smooth. Drain, the tube gas needs to be discharged.
