- Q: Explain how your eyes detect light and images.
- Our eyes detect light by using light sensitive components called rods and cones. Cones are used when the light is intense, such as during the daytime. With cones, we can see different colors of light. Rods are used when the light is very dim. Rods cannot detect colors. That is why things appear as shades of grey at night.

- How do you define power of light ? Light does have some power, since it has energy. For example, a 100 watt light may emit 5 watts of light, that is a power of 5 watts. (the other 95 watts is wasted as heat) But power is measured in watts, and has no color. Like asking what color is an inch. Meaningless. edit: or are you using power in the sense of exponent? But the term exponent of light is pretty meaningless also. .

Kinda like an extra set of headlights. Fog lights. Used for aiming low and wide to light under the fog to see the road without lighting the fog. Long range. Narrow distant light for long range, without flooding the area. Many different wattages and lumans or candlepower (brightness number). KC is a popular brand. They have all three styles in a slim 6 light. They also have their flagship original lights called Daylighters. PIAA are good lights,but also one of the most expensive. Artificial lighting in the costume rooms in theaters, where the lighting is not fluorescent, but on planes and under those kinds of lights, I, as do most people, look horrible.
