- Q: What is the best way to hang a tire swing??
- From a branch on a tree?
- Q: We just found out that we need to get tires for our 06 Eddie Bauer Explorer. I can‘t remember the exact tread measurement, but the wear is down to the marker that is on the tire. We are getting ready to head out on a road trip and the front tires are worse than the back tires and we were thinking of replacing just the front tires before the trip, and then doing the back tires when we get back.Is that a bad idea? I am also curious about why it would be bad? Could it damage anything on my vehicle?
- just rotate them(put the fronts on the backs and the backs on the fronts),u can make ur tires last longer by doing so, the front tires will allways be the ones that get worn down first and the most
- Q: Steam has a small box of plastic plate, and now fell directly to see the inside of the hood, that thing is called where to buy
- Fender is also called the wheel lining, X treasure a lot.
- Q: How long is the life of the car tires?
- Depends on the situation. The The Driving mileage, mainly to see your tread wear situation, the tire has a scale line, forget what is called. The Can not be exceeded, is to look at the tire replacement. The The Some tires should pay attention to the problem of rubber aging, to check. The
- Q: what is the best tire pressure on a ford tauras 97 with goodyear viva 2 205/65/15
- Go with what it says on the door jamb. Usually on the drivers door. The reason for that answer is simple. The tire pressure for each vehicle is different because even if two different cars use the same size tires, they weigh different, so they put a different load on the tires.
- Q: My tires are showing wear in the very center. (I know this is from over inflation) The problem is that I have never put air in them. I purchased the tires new in January of 2008. The tire place (my family has always purchased tires there) offered free nitrogen for the life of the tires, so I accepted it. I have only had them put nitrogen in the tires twice, when I purchased them and then in the first week of August 2008. Other than that, no other air has ever been put in the tires. My question is this: Is my tire dealer at fault for the wear on my tires? And, if so, what should I do about it. (yes, I have had the tires rotated. 3 times between January 2008 and September 2008)
- Judging from the fact you said the tires are new, it could simply be the design of the tires. Meaning, some tires are more rigid than others so while 35 psi may be the correct tire pressure for one kind of tire, a stiffer kind of tire may require slightly less. this is common in SUV's and trucks as depending on the tire, tire pressures may need to vary from the door placard. As others have stated, i would decrease the psi in your tires a few pounds, and see if that helps. Don't go crazy and let out 10 pounds of air, as that would be unsafe. And in case you wondering it has nothing to do with the nitrogen, as the positve effects of nitrogen can only take place if nothing but nitrogen is in the tire, and I can guarantee there is regular old air in the tire in addition to the nitrogen.
- Q: We are shopping around for a van and a friend of mine told me that SOME but not all AWD Siennas require a special tire, costing at least $800 for a set of 4. Can anyone tell me which models of Sienna AWD require these tires and what are the tires called?
- The only thing I could think of is if your Sienna was equipped with V speed rated tires from the factory. The speed rating is best described as a sort of performance rating, at least here in the US. If this is what your friend is referring to, then he/she is right that V-rated tires are typically more expensive than lower-rated tires, although at least $800 for a set of 4 is simply throwing numbers out there. HOWEVER, on most vehicles that came from the factory with a V-rated tire, it is perfectly safe to drop down to an H-rated tire with no adverse effects on vehicle handling and performance. And just a reminder, AWD vehicles need to have the tires replaced in sets of 4, as putting 2 new tires on the vehicle with 2 worn tires can cause drivetrain problems.
- Q: What is the problem with not recycling tires? What can be done to help the situation? What good will come from recycling tires?
- Not recycling tires can be potential fire hazards when they are in a pile. They also collect alot of water which can cause issues with mossqutioe breeding. Tires can be collected and retreaded, or shredded up. The shredding tires can be used for building roads and if pebbled can be used to build other rubber materials. Hope this helps
- Q: I have summer tires. When I go to work in the morning (cold) one of them thumps. After driving a bit, and the tires warm up, the thumping stops, and there is no thumping in the afternoons coming home. What could be causing this? Should I buy a new tire? I‘d hate to since the tire still has great tread. On a semi-different subject, if I do buy a new tire, should I buy 2 or all 4. Again, all the tires are in good condition. (Did the coin test with both a quarter and a penny)
- Sounds like the old nylon tire thump. Caused by cold tires after sitting all night, warming up while driving to work and then not as bad in the evening while the tires are still somewhat warm. Have someone follow you and watch your tires to make sure they don't wobble (broken belt) or take them to a tire place and have them checked. It may just be cold tire thump.
- Q: The tires are Traction A and Temperature B, I need to drive where chains are required but I need to know can I drive my car with those tires with out chains??
