- Q:What would happen if you combine the 2 and would the farting ever go away if your body ever gets used to the stuff if it ever gets used to fiber one bars and kashi go lean crunch? I've also heard that its the fiber while others say its the chicory root so I was wondering, which group of people is right, the one that says its the chicory root or the fiber? No, I don't want to avoid Kashi Go Lean Crunch and Fiber One Bars.I actually want to fart a lot.
- NO, it's just a urine test.Try drinking lots of water, cranberry juice, ice tea and believe or not it sounds gross but pickle juice!!! Drink as much as you can before the test!!
- Q:I have thick strait hairI want curly hair to stay. But I can't get a perm and have tried to curl and braid it?? It gets curly it just dosen't stay that waySo how would I keep my hair curl?? LIke is there a certain shampoo product??
- I use Kenra thermal styling spray and some major mousse while its wetDry itAnd then try getting a ceramic and ionic curling ironTrust me I know I've got super thick hairIt took me a awhile to learn how to do it correctlyWhen your curling it sometimes you gotta hold it on there for a long timeMake sure all the hair isn't like compounded on itself try spreading it through out the curling iron so it's closer to the heatThen major hairsprayI use max hold Beyond the ZoneIt works real well.
- Q:what is the quot;fluffyquot; stuff called inside a quiltim new at making a quilt and don't want to use the wrong stuffalso, when i do buy that material, do i sew it along the edges with the fabric? or does the yarn that you tack down all over at the end hold in in place?
- You already have some good advice here, but also some that might not be best to followDO NOT use foam or feathers(down) in your quilt as battingI suggest a quilt shop, not a hobby shop, though fabric stores often carry batting nowTacking the quilt (called tying) is quicker, but less stable over time and also not as attractiveEven just straight line quilting in a grid will give you texture and interest that are a big improvement over a tied quilt Online sources are helpful, but don't overlook your library, and ask about quilt guilds or less formal groups near youThere is worldwide interest in quilting nowYou will be surprised at how warm as cover, and how charming to the eye your quilt will be! If using your Grace frame, you will not necessarily need to layer and baste, but follow directions with careYou can make your own binding from extra fabric from your quilt, and it will look better, but that is a whole 'nother chapter! Hope this helps.
- Q:ive been feeling really sluggish lately and im prepairing myself to start a new dietim going to fast on water, fruit juice and tea for the next 2 or 3 days then start my new dietim wondering how much weight would someone typically lose while doing this.and what are some benifits of doing thisive read somethings up online but would like to know more.
- Better than nothingFrom what you say, it;'s not taking direct strain it's just stopping it unscrewingDepends on the stress on the parts, whether it's safety-related, what's making it unscrew etcEpoxy would be better if you have itNormally you'd use a locknut in that situationOr drill right through both parts and insert a split pin.
- Q:A feral cat had kittens in our house attic crawlspaceThe cat got in through a gap in the soffit between our roof and our aluminum porch roofThe kittens (2 of them, we think) are about a month old and move about between the ceiling support beams and the pink insulationThey make noise at nightWe put a cage-type trap baited with tuna in the crawl space up there about 4 days ago but they don't seem to be attracted to the foodIs there any other way of getting them out of the attic space, or, is there something we can put up there to chase them out, like mothballs? Will they leave on their own anyway? Any advice would be appreciated.
- You can also try the good old KFC trickCats also love fried chicken and its smellyIf the tuna isn't working try different types of baitsFood is usually the best motivating factor to get a cat out of a place.
- Q:So, my mom has tried for about 23 years to teach me to knitNow that i'm a mom, i've picked it up and wished I'd listened and showed a bit more interestI can do a basic stitch and have no problem knitting a blanket or pot holderProbably could do a scarf too but when its never cooler fhan 70, not very practicalAnyhow, I don't know how to read patterns, and I'm bored with a basic stitchCan anyone point to some free web sites that help teach or instruct on learning more than the basic casting on and basic stitch?I would really like to make my mom something for Christmas as she doesn't know that I picked up the needles againAny suggestions? Thanks!
- Try goggle knitting instruction freeI personally like the books the library has, the pictures are beautiful and easy to learn from at your leisure
- Q:My home doesn't have any insulation in the attic or wallsIf I only add insulation in the attic, how much of a difference in terms of temperature should I expect in the summer and winter?
- Insulating a home is a very wise decision to save money on energy bills and makes the house a lot more comfortableThe attic is no.1 in priority because in the winter the heat in a room always goes to cold which is the walls and ceilingsIf you are sitting down in the house on a cold day and when you rise you notice the upper part of the room is warm, then the attic isn't insulateNo2 is the wallsAfter insulating the walls you will notice that you don't need as much heat to keep the house warmThis works well in the summer time by not needing as much AC to keep the house cool as wellInsulation doesn't add warmth or coldIt just helps to hold and prevent it from escaping.
- Q:I have a house that is shaped like a quot;Tquot; with the top of the T facing the breezeThis blocks the breeze from the remainder of the house (the trunk of the T)The house has a comp roofWhen I bought the house there was no attic ventilation except some small eve ventsIt gets very hot up there and the trunk of the T part of the house gets very hotSo, I put in two gable ventsI didn't put in a third one because the rain hits against that side of the houseThis did not helpSo, I put in a solar gable vent fanThis also did not reduce the temperature in the inside part of the house (trunk of the T)So, I put in a radiant barrier on the floor of the attic and this did not help eitherI looked into putting on a ridge vent but the information I read said I'd have to then seal up the gable ventsNow I am considering painting the roof with titanium reflective roof paint which will cost ~$2200Does anyone have any other ideas, preferrably less expensive?
- Don't paint the roofYou'll be adding $2200 to shingles that will not last any longer than they would without the paintPutting lipstick on a pigTake that money, (plus a little more), and have a metal standing seam roof retrofitted over the shinglesAsk the contractor to use Galvalume, which is galvanized steel sheet with an aluminum coating, (be sure to specify domestic material rather than imported, some things are still better when made in the USA), it will stay shiny thereby giving you the reflective quality you are afterBy leaving the shingles under the metal, you have an added insulative value, plus it's cheaper, faster and cleaner and environmentally friendlier than tearing them off and hauling to a landfillIf you want to go the extra bucks, you can have the contractor install a layer of foil faced foam insulation board under the standing seam(The metal and say 3/4 foam board, and 1X4 runners for nailers on top of your old shingle roof will still be substantially less weight than another layer of shingles would be.) If you do that, you will have to wear a sweater to go in your attic in July;-) plus, it's the last roof you will ever buy for that house.
- Q:I heard that if a rabbit chews on a blanket, then they could die because of the blanket fibers that get stuck in their stomachWell, my rabbit chewed a big hole the shape of a circle about 2.5 inches in diameter in my blanket, and I'm afraid she might die or something! Will there be anything wrong?
- Well, to tell you the truthI had two rabbits beforeOne of them had to be put down :'( because he got a blockage on his stomachI am pretty sure he chewed on a towel he found.snif.sniffI have the other rabbit left and he has chewed onto fabric before :-S (they find their way to get to stuff) and he is okI think it depends on the rabbit itselfSome rabbits have a more delicate digestive systemI would take him to the vet is he doesn't go to the bathroom or eat in 12-24 hoursDon't wait more than that if he is not doing those two things .Don't worry, he will probably be okFeed him more hay :)
- Q:I always - especially after using the bathroom - have part of my anus that's swollen compared to the restIt's likeHalf of the area around my anus is swollen/puffed upNot anything like bumps; the flesh itselfLikeIf IReached down thereIt'd be the first thing I felt - the swollen area.I know it's been this way for a very long time, so I'm not so concerned, butI'm a little paranoidCould this be fromStraining? Helppppp? It's not something serious, is it?!
- you could destroy your house (dynamite) and he'll probably leave.
