Q: I am 11 years old and i am quite fat.
It probably has sport features like a rear spoiler, left and right spoilers (running along the sides of the doors)Often times, it has very little to do with the actual performance of the vehicle (although some sport editions have more powerful engines)it's ususally aesthetic.
Q: What do fiber pills (chew tablets) really do for you? What about the weight management ones?Has anyone tried either? What results did you hope for and encounter?
Foam is the best but it cost almost 5 times as much
Q: I have a blue-tick mix(we got him from a shelter 9 years ago) He'll lay there and nip at the carpet fibers for hours if you let himI figure that maybe it feels good on his teeth or he is cleaning his teeth? But why the hell would he want to do this constantlyHe will do it on the bed spread,on a blanket and anywhere there is a fabric to nip on with his teeth! It's so retarded!.Thanks
To felt, you MUST use wool or other animal fibersSuperwash wool will NOT felt, because it has been treated to remove the tiny hooks on the fibers that cause them to bind together during feltingWool that has been bleached to be whiter will not felt very well eitherAcrylic and cotton will not feltJust stick with 100% wool and you'll be in good shapeHowever, if you are knitting with two different wool yarns, they might felt differently from each other! Be sure to make a swatch with each type of yarn BEFORE knitting so you can see how much they each shrinkGood luck, and happy knitting!
Q: Which is more important to have? Low sodium, or high fiberI'm comparing Nabisco Wheat Thins: Fiber Selects Garden Vegetable to Nabisco Triscuit: Quattro Formaggio Triscuit Thin Crisps.the fiber select has 20% fiber, 11% sodiumBUT the triscuits have 12% fiber, 7% sodium.is it more important that a snack has LESS sodium, or that it have MORE fiber? idk which is the more healthier choice.
I'm not crazy about the safety pin method-I always used a knitting needle; fold in half, wrong side outSeam long end and 1 short endUsing knitting needle, tuck short end inTurn needle around so large end of needle is at tucked short end of strap-push throughCarrie's idea sounds great also!
Q: House two stories full basement 1500 square feet without unheated basement., Basement 1/3 insulated with cement foundationInsulation fiberglass batsPrimary heat pellet stove used 4 tons to heat 2007/2008 winterOil furnace backupAssume some type of blow in insulation woud help plus question what to do about the unheated uninsulated basement concrete wall which are two thirds uninsulated.
Read a recent article by James Dulley, expert on everything, and he stated that no matter what, if you do not insulate your basement walls you are going to have cold air transferHe suggested firring and insulation, plus either drywall or other solid wall coveringAs for the rest of uour place, any kind of blow in insulation will work and not cause a problem for your existing bats, if those are horizontalThe fiberglass is going to give you better R value than cellulose whether blown into wall spaces or on top of batting in attic Right now Home Depot and a couple others are adv compacted blow in fiberglass for 21 cents per foot, don't mention how thick but think that is cubic footThat is cheap compared to roll and battingThey will also either provide for a day or rent you the machine for blowing the insulation inHowever, a word of adviceThis is a three person jobOne to handle the hose, and one to cut the compacted packages into thirds, and one to input those thirds into the machine's hopper/blowerOtherwise you have down time with only one person trying to manage the packagesAnd for heaven's sake, wear more than one of those surgical looking masks; even a cheap filtration mask set up is better than thoseThey fog your glasses, get clogged fast, and don''t really filter the fine particlesA wet bandana would be more effective than the surgical type masks with the rubber band attached by staples on each side.
Q: List 5 different uses for cotton, outside the home.
is it cotton wool or cotton fabric ? cotton-wool is used in hospitals medical centres, to spin yarn, to make fabric, for stuffing in mattresses, cushions/pillows to stuff in furniture - sofas, et al to make soft toys other crafts to make cotton-balls, etcin cosmetics fashion industry cotton fabric can be used for various purposes in the garment industry, to make linen for hospitality industry again, in hospitals, for beds, swabs, uniforms, for uniforms in various factories/industries to make accessories, crafts, etchope these get you started
Q: I've tried to convince myself that I'm imagining itWe bought our house in the summer, and in the fall we were redoing lighting and noticed that all our walls were hallowEven the electrician said something like, I don't think these walls are supposed to be emptyThe house was built in the 50's, btwSo as it got colder, and we were frequently turning up the heat we decided to save on oil and get a 2009 tax creditWe paid the insulator $1,500 to blow into the walls of our whole house, and into the unfinished side of the attic and over the finished side (which we don't heat or use for anything but storage)Before the insulation were impressed by our double-paned windows, relieved that while all our heat is escaping into the walls and roof, the windows had NO draftWell, we're all insulated now, and in debt, and the walls are fine but the windows are VERY drafty! What did we do?!!?! And what now?! I'm so cold!
this is one i really couldn't answer without actually coming out to look, but, i'll try to point you in the right directionfirst, you need to check your heating bills to see if the house is using more heat (power, gas, whatever) than it did same period last yeari know, you bought the house this summer, but the utility company can give you this infoif it's using less heat, the insulation did you some goodif it is using more to heat, ask the utility company if they can send out an energy auditor to take a look-seeit may be that you got bit by a contractor who is a certified incompetent, my way of saying that he has the certifications, but doesn't know what he's doingi'd use some fake smoke that comes in an aerosol can, you can get it from most hardware stores, to trace where the drafts are coming fromif it is from the windows themselves, like, where they slide and such, gah you need new windows now toohowever, if the drafts are coming from the edges (framing) of the windows, you're in luck, a tube of caulk or 2 should seal it right upuse a latex enamel caulk, lasts 20-40 years, and has a water cleanup, rather than silicone that sticks to everything and needs mineral spirits to cleanAnother option is find someone with (or rent) an infrared camera (many camcorders have this feature) and see where the hot and cold spots are.
Q: What is the size of a baby blanket end crib blanketThe one for bed and to wrap baby inthanks?
Babies should not be wrapped in blankets when they are sleeping in a cribThe room should be at a comfortable temperature and there should be no blankets or stuffed animals in the cribA standard crib mattress is 52 by 28 inches and usually 6 feet deepMake sure the bottom sheet fits tightly.
